What is the most cozy/slice-of-life campaign you have ever had?
I tried a fantasy SOL game
couldn't bear it coz it was literal /tg/ meme
freeform, 80% dead coz nobody writes in it, omnipotent mary sues, no "culture"
Never did a whole campaign, but our party had to stop and rest in an island nation and wait for a gala at the royal palace to gather intel on a cult that had cropped up in the archipelago.
It played out like the Tales of Ba Sing Sae, with every character getting their day in the sun. The Monk spent time practicing her moves outside and stared a Tai Chi class by mistake. The Master of disguise updated her personas and righted various small wrongs she say around the city. The War Mage Got drunk and started brawls until she blew up a pub by accident. finally my mystic theruge, who is a minor noble, visited various boutiques, got approriate outfits for everyone for the gala, and flirted mercilessly with every lady of good birth he came across.

Oi lads if you could be a dear and post hilarious stories from your dark heresy games that would be great. I like to use them as inspiration for my own games.
First post here since lurking so treat me kindly my dudes.

Jesus christ.
Did the rest of that campaign go as badly?
Our GM thought we would be happy to have a ship with Kroot mercs for crew. He underestimated our dedication to roleplaying xenophobes, so in the end we took control of the bridge through a mix of force and trickery (and with a little Navy help), then vented all the oxygen in the decks where no human was present. Then, we sold their bodies and eggs to the local AdMech's Biologis department.
We made a lot of friends that day.
What defines the archetypal 'good king' in a fantasy world?
Really depends on the fantasy world. If we're talking about D&D fantasy then a real answer is "ability to survive high level PCs". Because people with character levels are dumb dangerous.
>>52492139
just generally being a decent, logical, and humble guy who doesn't immediately default to every single "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" trope ever written (aka not making your knights fear you soo mutch they will kill a priest after one sarcastic joke about him being a pain in the ass)
Plus denying retard imbread nobles there constant power plays/backstabbing bullshit. Along with treating peasants like human beings.
Not being Valdemar IV.
I mean holy shit, kid.
/TG/ ... i think i made a mistake....
they..... they are watching.....
This looks interesting. How did you do this?
Sisters are just a mobile talisman of arthas moloch. You're good.
What kind of gargoyles does /tg/ prefer?
Monstrous mixtures, more dragon-like gargoyles, somthing else entirely?
>>52490740
I like that pic.
Is monstrous and feminine enough, without being too sexualized to be in my games.
>>52490740
See, in my setting gargoyles are monstrous demons that rise out of caves so that the fire druids that kill them can use their skin to make a light and flexible bodysuit that's as strong as plate armour. So unfortunately can't be cute girls.

Talk about the different cool critters you've hunted in the wilds, and the cool stuff you've gotten from it. Or just complain about how the MHH is total garbage. Or howAdowyn is best iconic girl

What was the most random or evil thing you did in a jump?
What are some good examples of inspiration for Mystical Beings in Generic Xianxia?
All I can come up with are Chinese kitsune and Celestial Bureaucracy gods.
Goddammit OP.
So Jumpers, what sort of ridiculously overpowered moves and techniques do you have? Have you ever gone all out with a move just to impress whoever might be watchingand to intimidate whoever was unlucky enough to be on the receiving end?

What's your favorite non-MM monster in 5e so far? I'm partial to Gauths, myself. Pretty simple but a great edition to encounters with other control-prone aberrations.
Was there any bullshit in your sessions today? I swear April 1st is the most cancerous day of the year.
>>52489849
I had little prep and most of the group (myself included) felt like shit. My game went super off the rails with verbal shitposting, in-jokes, and memes.
Still pretty fun though, and they made okay progress story-wise.
>>52489849
Nope actually. Had one of the better sessions in recent memory by mainly focusing on individual character interactions as they explore the city and get to know the important npc
>tfw when we didn't get a board merger today
Fuck fuck FUCK.
Who do you think would have been a good match for us?
/sp/ or /asp/, so jocks vs nerds?
One of the /v/ variants for endless nerd rage?
/soc/ for attention whores vs introverts?

Maybe next year..
Recently my D&D group broke up because of some stupid shit, and now I am struggling to find another group.
So, are there any tried & true ways/sites/anything that can be used to find a D&D group? I am having no luck whatsoever here.
>>52489104
The answer is always the same; find friends, game with friends.
Some friends are sort of terrible at TTRPG etiquette (depending on what your sense of etiquette is) and that's OK--you should be having fun with these people regardless, if they were worth your friendship to begin with.
I discovered that /tg/'s GameFinder and Roll20 group-hunting led to some successful groups but ultimately there's some discomfort. It's more clinical than hanging with people you know.
>>52489104
put up a poster at a real life game store and interview candidates.

You can't say this and not elaborate.

Will it?

Is there any RPG that accurately represents the horrors of socialism?
I'd especially like to focus on the modern horrors of socialism, like what is happening right now in my country, Venezuela.
I've never seen an RPG that really allows us to fight back against the type of thing we are going through. Even though they would put us to death if we tried to resist in real life, it would be good to fantasy it once it once in a while.
Thank you /tg/
>>52488488
Mayhaps, it is your fate to write such an RPG?
>>52488488
That's more of a DM narration thing. Depict a storyline about something else, then there's societal collapse and the government makes everything far worse. Its up to the DM/GM/ST to provide atmosphere.
>>52488488
FATAL
It's pretty obvious GW intended the missing Legiones Astartes as an excuse for players to create their own OCdonutsteel. Have any of you done that? Tell of your special snowflake legions. I'm curious.
I gave mine sister of battle heads.
