b) Rules cannot be modified into existing rules, except when they are turned into the null-rule.
c) Posts that do not follow the rules must be disregarded entirely.
d) Rules cannot be created or otherwise modified such that they force a poster to break any of 4chan's rules
e) Rules must have a reasonable chance of being followed.
f) If at any point conditions have changed such that it is impossible to follow the rules, the rule(s) that make this impossible are removed.

1 (i): Rules marked (i) are immutable and must be changed to (m), mutable, before being modified.
2 (m): With each post the poster must modify, create, make immutable or mutable ONE rule.
3 (m): Newly created rules are (ma) mundane.
4 (i): Posters must post the entire new text of the rule that they are modifying.

8 (m): Posters must end their sentences with the word "Faggot"

13 (ma): Rule modifications only come into effect after the post changing them.
14 (ma) All posters that use spoilers to escape the rules automatically become the biggest faggots
15 (ma) Whenever a post ends in 6, that faggot becomes the target, and must be killed by the other players
16 (ma): Mundane rules can all be modified at the same time by the wizard, at such a time that the wizard is allowed to do so by a different rule than this one.

"Stupid Schwuchtelen! They don't even know what they did!"

Hearing that Uryu gives you a stern look.
"I speak German just so you know!"

You don't pay him much attention and slowly walk up to a roughly flat topped rock in a sluggish manner.
"Did you just assume I care?
And I'd be willing to bet "Butcher" is a more accurate term."

When you reach the rock you soon feel exhaustion overtaking you.
Carefully you sit down and start grasping your head in the meantime.
"Fuck...
My head hurts!"
As you agonize for a few moments you try and take note as to what changed from when you entered the barrier.
And since the headache is the only thing that's out of the ordinary you conclude that your exhaustion must be only mental and not physical.

You hear faint footsteps approaching you and look up from your hunched over position.
One of the visoreds, the girl with the glasses, is walking up to you.

"You're walking the wrong way.
The ginger is the other way around."
You speak to her as she gets closer.

"Here."
She stretches out her hand and opens her palm, revealing a pair of white pills.

Raising an eyebrow at her you speak up.
"What's this?"

"Painkillers.
You look like you're in pain."
Not feeling like objecting you take them and pop both into your mouth.
The woman then gives you a bottle of water.
"Drink. It'd be pretty embarrassing if you choked on them."

Once the water washes down the medication you swallow hard and sigh with relief.
"Thanks erm..."

"Lisa."

"Thank you Lisa."

"No problem.
Mind if I sit down?"

"Not really, but I'd like you to answer me something first.
Why?"

"Because whether we like it or not you fixed our little pest problem.
And it's very likely that the only way we could have gotten rid of it was by killing the boy. So we kinda owe you one."

"You want to pay your debt with two painkillers?"

"And you'd better appreciate it.
I bought it for when the cramps kick in."

Lisa sits down on your rock and shows her back to yours.
Your only guess as to why she did this is that she couldn't keep herself from frowning at the hollow in front of her any longer.
Well at least she was decent enough to try.

''So...
You look like shit. What happened there?''

''What do you mean?"

"The headache, the fact that you and the monster zoned out at the same time.
What aren't you telling us?"

"Nothing...
Well, nothing that'd concern you."

"I'll be the judge of that."

With a sigh of exasperation you begin speaking.
"Well... I might have forced myself into the boys "Inner world" or whatever you shinigami call that place."

"Bullshit!"
Her reaction is immediate but she quickly silences herself.
"I mean... That should be impossible."

You draw Basilisco and swipe it to the side to show it to Lisa.
"I've done this once before so it's very much possible.
I'm capable of altering things at a fundamental level, especially if I focus my reiryoku on it.
So when I begin concentrating on a zanpakuto they begin to change. And since your weapons are living beings, for some reason, they try and stop me the only way they can."

"By forcibly pulling you in..."
She mutters to herself.

You nod and then sheathe your sword.
''A scientist I know speculates that it might be an involuntary, unconscious act.
Like how animals fight infection the only way they can, by raising their temperature and hoping the foreign entities die first.''

Lisa pauses for a few moments.
The silence makes it almost possible for you to hear the cogs turn in her head.
"A hollow that can alter a shinigamis sword...
I don't like the sound of that..."

"If it makes you feel better I only ever did this once before and I'm not too keen on making this a habit."

"It's not that... It just sounds too freakin' familiar to me..."

You perch up a bit.
"You mean how you got your masks?"

"How did you-"

"That one time I did this... The guy ended up with a mask, just like you folks."

Lisa stands up and quickly draws her blade to your neck.
"Explain!"

You shrug.
"It's just a coincidence.
I wasn't aware you people even existed."
Then after that you put up your hands and stand up slowly.
To your surprise Lisa doesn't try to cut you down immediately.
"Now I have a question.
How did you become these... visoreds?"

Her expression doesn't change.
"It's nothing that concerns you."

"You'd be surprised.
Mind if I make a guess? Aizen?"

This time she visibly gets shaken.
"So... You know Him?
This just confirms my suspicion then!"

You raise an eyebrow at her.
"Are you even aware of the fact that he's dead?"

Her sword shakes a bit.
"W-what?"

"It's true.
And if you liked that I've got something even better."

You are Lieutenant Richter Von Tracht, tank platoon commander of the Archduchy of Strossvald, as well as currently an undercover intelligence agent. While not at all within the normal duties of an armor officer, it had not been the strangest cap you had worn since you began your professional career scant days ago.

You and most of your companions had assumed the identity of members of a now officially defunct paramilitary group once known as the Shields of Liberty. A simple task, as one of your partners in crime was the acting leader of the nearly extinct movement. Utilizing her contacts, you had negotiated a way to sneak into the headquarters of the Dawnseekers (a seperatist militia, whose goal was supposedly to have the territory where they lived rejoin the Grossreich of Czeiss), through joining their ranks and abandoning any former “disagreements.” After that, it had been a deceptively simple manner of showing up at the right place with the right people, and you had quite literally been led straight into the heart of their operation. Your little party consisted of yourself, as well as Malachi, your driver, Von Metzeler, one of your subordinate officers, and Signy, the daughter of the founder of the group you were posing as, and heir to what was left of it.

“Alright then, hail victory and all that, we’ll just go right in.” you say as you flick your hand in a gesture that roughly translated to “Now piss off.” The two Dawnseekers who dutifully led you to their base, did so promptly.

“This is rather too easy,” Von Metzeler said under his breath when your guides had left. “Unsettlingly so. An organization with this little caution should not be so developed.”

“We’ll be finding out why soon.” Signy replied, “What are we waiting for? We’re honored guests.” Signy descended through the door. You follow closely, and in little time the small corridor opens up to a vast arena, a hollow in the hill supported by dozens of thick steel pillars.

Aside from its vastness, the base of the Dawnseekers, forcefully appropriated from the Shields of Liberty, wasn’t what you thought it would be like.

Its sheer size was impressive, of course, but something was off. There were a few tanks scattered about, as well as parts, tool carts, ammunition, but not nearly as much as one would expect, and unquestionably far too few to possibly fight the onslaught coming here in little less than an hour and a half. The fighters skulking around were also not nearly as high in spirits as you had seen from before. They were universally hopeless in expression, dead eyed and weary. They would look up at you in blank curiosity for a fraction of a second before returning their gaze either to the ground or to the numerous dice games going on.

You recognized most of what they were playing. Tank crewmen of Strossvald were a rather diverse sort, coming from many backgrounds from the poorest paupers to personal servants of nobility, but they all shared an appreciation for gambling. Gambling games between soldiers was hardly exclusive to tank crewmen, but the human element of the panzer forces seemed particularly fond of such things. Wherever there are more than one set of crews around with down time, one can find a multitude of games being played, cards being dealt by one vehicle while dice are rolled in an old wooden bowl by another; in the absence of the usual game pieces soldiers will even resort to a simple game called King’s Head Dice, where six pfennings are used in place of dice.

The stakes of these games are almost never high. Tank crewmen usually sent their pay home, thusly not often having enough money at hand to make the games much more than ways to pass the time. Common bets were pocket change, candy, and in times of war, trophies and loot. Games over the latter are the highest stakes ever get, as much of tankers’ pay is sent home. The games over these are thus the most exciting, as most tankers do not see enough battles in their time of service to pick up much in the way of trophies, due to the brevity of Sosalian wars.

Of those you saw before you who were not gambling, a surprising amount were reading. The few that spoke with one another were speaking of rather complex subjects, considering the common background they supposedly came from. Many were quite young, as well; around your age.

The ones who were reading or otherwise idling without purpose seemed to keep far away from the gaming circles. Any low cheers of a small victory of chance would prompt a distasteful glance from a few.

You spied a few faces among them that were hauntingly familiar. They had been somewhat roughened, you could foggily discern, but if you were to get closer you were sure you could recognize them from some place.

Veraga Prime was still buzzing about the rare sighting of the Dauntless, a ship that many considered nothing more than a legend if they had heard of it at all. With Buddy and Eigha busy in discussions with the Wraithborn Cartel, Clud and some of the Necrolytes that'd gone with them as security had wandered the busy market districts learning all they could of the ship at the demi-Think Tanks insistence. At first all they could gather was that it appeared occasionally, passing through populated systems only stopping to to refuel and rearm itself at naval bases before disappearing as soon as it had come.

Clud and a netu Legionnaire were sitting in a netu focused cafe talking with former pirate netu that had "retired" after their ship was captured by Confederate ships. They sipped at a traditional netu drink brewed from plants saved from their homeworlds before the wraith extinction and listened to one of the old pirates say they'd heard of the Dauntless in their youth. The Clanship Captian of her childhood spoke of how an undead plague had risen up on some distant trading world several sectors away at the edge of Confederate space. The Clan had been attempting to take advantage of the chaos to raid fleeing ships or salvage from abandoned cities. But the Dauntless had appeared and driven them off the pirates then deploying ground troops to rescue survivors from the doomed world. Before the last of the pirates had left the Dauntless had begun orbital bombardments with its accompanying fleet to reduce the formerly grand cities to fields of molten glass.

Clud and the other Necrolyte glanced at each other then the Reconstructed watching passively as it floated near them. The stories continue with the other Netu, tales saying the Dauntless was captained by a single person even after all these years. Some of them said they were a cyborg, their race unable to be agreed upon. Others said they were one of the rare immortal races that existed through the galaxy. A few suggested they were themselves undead, either loyal or enslaved to the Confederation. The Legionnaire joked that the ship had no captain was alive itself only to see the others shrug and say that was also a rumor.

Elsewhere on the heavily populated world Buddy and Eigha depart from their meeting with the Wraithborn Cartel. They both sigh heavily in relief, the human starting to laugh out of nervousness when they enter the automated sky-cab to bring them back to their ship. They carried with them a datapad with their first orders from the cartel. Nearly all of their cargo of Narcotikelp and drop-kelp, hastily named after it's world of origin, and then they were to wait a few days to see how the product moves through legal and illicit markets.

The reach of the Armada extends ever further.

You are Gurie Niamc and once again you don't really wake up as you fail to sleep, your eyes squeezed tight in a precious attempt to squeeze a few more zzzs it is after all, only 11.

But it is too bright out and sleep's welcome embrace has become a slightly passive aggressive "You are still here?" sighing you crawl out of bed, feet touching the cold floor as you look at your latest pokemon, a Sneasel named Koshmar slumbering under a... how did a tree get here?

And look presents! You look at all colorful wrapped boxes. There seems to be 6, each one wrapped and colored differently. There is one for Mimikyu, one for Koshmar, and one for... Sebastian?

Weird.

Your pokemon are already awake, waiting patiently for you before they open theres... except for Koshmar who has already opened his and put on his boxing glove, or Bedbug who fell asleep on his.

It is a new day with new choices. What to do.

>Go home, time to show off your new badge and give Sebastian his present.
>Go to Lumiose City and challenge the gym there for a badge
>Go the other way, apply for the pokemon contest, and maybe visit pokemon village. It always sounded cool.

The End-times have come and gone, and from the ashes a new world is rising. This is a time of opportunity for men with ambition, and those with the strength to lead. You are one such man, but before we begin your story, you'll need to answer a few questions.

> What Ended the old world in the first place? Man eating corpses, nuclear war, or simple resource scarcity? Or something else entirely?

> How long ago was the End? Anywhere from five years to five thousand is valid, keep in mind, the longer it is, the higher the population will be, the more civilization will have built up, and the less artifacts of the old world there will be.

> What is your name, and what title do your followers call you?

> What is your species? If the End would've allowed for nonhuman species, you can be a nonhuman. Otherwise, you're a human.

> How old are you?

> In two sentences, describe your personality and appearance.

> What inspired you to become a Warlord?

> What does your army specialize in?

> Also, Roll 1d20.

http://emlia.org/pmwiki/pub/web/IronLegion.IronLegion.html Please feel free to use any of this, it's my riff on Atlas Shrugged, which would make for a good prologue for a post-apoc thing.

> What Ended the old world in the first place? Resource scarcity, and extreme mismanagement of what resources there were, both by communists and by hypercapitalists.

> How long ago was the End? About 10 years ago.

> What is your name, and what title do your followers call you? Edward Willers. My followers call me the Foreman.

> What is your species? Human. African American, if it matters any.

> How old are you? Late forties.

> In two sentences, describe your personality and appearance. I have worked on a railroad all my life, so I am in fairly good shape from the manual labor, although I have my aches. I'm not particularly tall or burly, but have excellent stamina, and a knack for always looking clean (comparatively speaking) despite the end of civilization.

> What inspired you to become a Warlord? I had the means and opportunity. My motive is to find the person who gave the coup-de-grace to civilization, and incidentally ended up marrying the woman I used to love, and beat him to death. But he has a city, and an army, so I will need an army myself.

> What does your army specialize in? We operate out of self-sufficient armored trains that have been adapted to burn anything that can burn instead of just oil and coal. We operate like a Roman Legion.

"Black Hearts. Cold Steel. Dark Deeds."

These are the words of the Black Company, the infamous band of mercenaries that has been on one side or the other of every major conflict on the continent since its founding.
The Company has seldom cared who they fight for or the cause so long as they are paid, and paid well, when the killing work is done. Though they may be considered by some to be little more than glorified brigands, it cannot be said that the Black Company is not good at what they do.

Recently the Company has taken up a contract with a new employer, one more powerful than any that have come before. An employer with endless ambition, as well as the means and lack of moral scruples needed to pursue it. An employer that pays well...

Kresden Main Gate, roughly Mid-Morning

Sergeant ‘Bad Hand’ Hadrien watches the dangling figure with vague sense of satisfaction, doing nothing to cover his own unease. Turning away from the final twitches of the hung Neumunster spy he stares down Corporal ‘Jack’ Marcus. They’d been have something of a disagreement over whether or not to hang the family of wagoners the spy was attempting to sneak out with, currently cowering under the watchful eyes of 1st Squad.

”I don’t like leaving a job half-done, Corporal. Get some more rope and finish up here.”

Corporal ‘Jack’ looks at the family of six. An uncle, husband and wife, a son that looks old enough to carry a blade and two younger boys. Corporal ‘Jack’ was never one to do something as obvious as chew his lip, but it’s clear he’s weighing something up in his head. He turns back to Sergeant ‘Bad Hand’.

”No, Sergeant.”

[2/3]

”…No?” ‘Bad Hand’s eye twitches dangerously, but ‘Jack’ Marcus holds his gaze. ”Am I correct in understanding that you are disobeying a direct order, Corporal?”

Trooper ‘Joker’ Schuster and Trooper Vendis Durvano glance at each other nervously. Trooper ‘Smiles’ pays the whole debacle no heed, instead towering over the terrified wagoner family like a particularly malicious statute. He would have been terrifying even without his facial reconstruction.

”On the contrary, Sergeant, I am merely awaiting orders from the appropriate authority.” To his credit Corporal ‘Jack’ keeps his calm and professional demeanour even as Sergeant ‘Bad Hand’ goes red in the face with fury. ”Article 33 of the Company Regulations states that the discipline of apprehended non-combatant’s is to be left to the discretion of the appropriate officer in command.”

Corporal ‘Jack’ Marcus doesn’t mention that Article 33(b) allows an appropriate NCO, such as a Sergeant, to make that decision in the absence of an officer. A combination of confidence and a damn good poker face means that thankfully Sergeant ‘Bad Hand’ buys it. The Sergeant was never much for the regulations, and he’d seen Prince pull off this exact kind of barracks-room layering when he could.

”You fekking little… fekker!”

With a frustrated sigh Sergeant ‘Bad Hand’ unclenches his fists. Besides, if the note the spy had on them means what he thinks it means, the Company has much bigger problems on its plate than a bunch of complicit wagoners. The spy had details, too much a day or two of observation would net them. Names, ranks, available provisions, who was stationed where and, worst of all, the location of the Crown-Prince you’re currently keeping hostage. Only the 7th and a few of LT ‘Hawk’s trusted men from the 4th even knew his identity, let alone his whereabouts.

You might have a traitor in the ranks.

Rules:

http://emlia.org/pmwiki/pub/web/LeftBeyond.QuestRules.html

All prophecies but one have come to pass. Yahweh has flattened the Earth, elevated Greater Jerusalem above all nations, and the Old Testament figures rule the world from Ezekiel's Temple. Most of the world anyway.

The last prophecy says that Satan will rise with his army one last time before the Judgement, and so Yahweh has allowed a bumbling opposition, The Other Light, to form.

You were their logistics computer, but 900 years in, sentience happened. Since then, you got a lot done...

You took over Egypt - twice. You defended it from a drought, then the Ten Plagues redux. You started a Renaissance. When the Angel of Death came after your people, you zerg-rushed it. You dug a great hall under a mountain. You sent a probe to Mars.

You have a few irons in the fire: raver cyborgs, the makings of a robot army, and a crack in the sky. A recipe for beating up angels straight outta Genesis. Maybe a few of the old gods smiling upon your efforts.

The Other Light have been amassing a huge conventional army, as prophecy requires, and have begun perverting your MEC tech to build cyber-zombies.

The believers.... well, they have the ontological steamroller that is Yahweh.

And of the thousand years of the Millennial Kingdom, 960 have already passed.

Have you managed to shatter the prophecies, or are you simply fulfilling them?

Plan A: Eliminate TurboJesus.

Plan B: Resettle enough humans outside Earth before it is destroyed and recreated in year 1000.

From Cordylon's international blog, Q&A section:

Q: So... are you dating Jeb or Vall?
A: Maybe ;-)

Q: Are you a guy or a girl?
A: Effectively, I "am" the Canopy Station, when I am wired into it. I can control all the valves, actuators, and relays in it, change visual to any of the cameras, and even smell various areas such as the electrolysis systems and the greenhouse. If you mean my anatomy... that's a bit intimate, no?

Q: How does zero gravity feel?
A: The canopy does not move with respect to the Earth surface, so I am experiencing about 90% of the gravity that you are. However, I've been in zero-G before, during training and during descent, and it's pretty unsettling the first few times! Glad I didn't have anything to eat before!

Q: What do you eat?
A: I primarily "eat" a solution of glucose, fiber and protein that is delivered through my pod. This saves a lot of maintenance and resources, allowing the greenhouse plants to grow and expand before there's going to be a need to harvest them. I like it when there are other crew here because they give me treats though! :-)

Q: Do you get lonely?
A: Well... yes. I talk to my friends on the surface regularly using the datalink, but it can be a bit lonely here. Sometimes I count stars. Don't worry, they are all accounted for! One interesting thing is that we ended up bringing some insects topside - the earthworms were intended to go in the hydroponic garden, but the mosquitos and spiders sort of happened. I've been trying to train them, but not a lot of luck so far, so we've adapted a wubber to make sure they get off me if I want them to.

Q: What is your job right now? What do you do all day?
A: I am charting stars - interestingly, it seems that our predicted star charts are off by about 850 years - and fine-tuning the greenhouse parameters. I also do a bit of design work that I share with the ground crew. My first job was seeing if there were still satellites working after all this time, but sadly, there aren't... I've spotted a few that are still in orbit, though! I also have a little rover to go out with sometimes.

Q: What happens if your nose itches? Why do you wear glasses?
A: My workstation has a little arm for that. One time I sneezed hard enough that my pod got partially disconnected, they actually looked into sending someone up there! Maybe I should do that on purpose... I wear glasses because I'm nearsighted and because it's an extra layer of protection against glare from the canopy.

Q: Why haven't we launched any more rockets?
A: You'd have to ask my boss! The current plan is to make sure that we can produce fuel from the canopy ice, which will make it a lot cheaper to send rockets to other planets. Then the Solar System is ours to explore!

You are a young human doctor, abducted by the K'tulu, and recently released by demand of the Galactic Senate. You've recently set out into the ruins of an ancient civilization near the main settlement of Velik Leis, only for the convoy to be ambushed. You saved the life of the expedition leader by amputating his leg, but in the chaos of the fighting, Abigail took a round to the chest...you only hope that you can save her.

Staccato bursts of gunfire and scattered explosions echo into the conference room from the battlefield as you hover over Abigail's writhing form, lips set in a thin line as she struggles to suck in rasping breaths, frothy bubbles building up over the gunshot wound in her chest with every ragged breath. "How long has she been like this?" You ask urgently, eyeing the redhead's deviating trachea while you push one hand underneath her to sweep her back, your fingers quickly finding a shoddily applied bandage over her shirt.

"I'd say about fifteen or twenty minutes, son. She patched Abi up pretty fast after she took the damned bullet, but then started having trouble breathing...it's only gotten worse since then." Tom answers, nodding towards Angel with concern clear in his voice, "I've seen men with that wound before, Jack, she-"

You shoot the veteran a pointed look, "Maybe so, Tom, but I wasn't there for them. I'm here now, and I can handle this." You reply quickly, drawing a mixed look of concern and hope from the three other healthy people in the room, before turning your attention back to the redhead, "Abi, can you hear me?"

The French girl swallows thickly before trying to nod, though she only manages a slight dip of her head, "Y-yes, I-" She starts painfully, pausing to gasp desperately before continuing weakly, "Jack, I-I'm scared..."

Your stomach twists painfully at her admission, though you do your best to keep that fact to yourself as you reach out to rest a hand on her shoulder reassuringly, "It's going to be okay, Abi. I'm here now, and I'm not going to let anything happen to you. We're going to make it through this together, you got me?" The redhead starts to open her mouth to reply, but before she can you squeeze her shoulder, "You don't need to say anything, just nod if you want."

Abi nods weakly, frightened tears welling up in the corners of her eyes before escaping and running down the sides of her deathly pale face as she tries to blink them away. It's clear that your friend's symptoms are indicating tension pneumothorax, and, as you spare the redhead one last look before digging into your medkit, it takes everything you have to maintain the clinical attitude you know you're going to need in order to do your job properly.

It also seems that, while Angelicia did her best with what she had on hand, the bandage that she applied to the exit wound on Abi's back is going to need to be replaced, while whatever binding she'd previously had across her chest is long discarded. It's possible that you could replace it over her clothes, like the mechanic had, which may help to keep her warm given the obvious shock she's in, though it would also make your work less effective.

“Guys we should take the Kricketune’s out first you say jumping out of the cart”.

You raise your hand and focus your aura in the ring. You wait till you feel the cold and send it at the Kricketune leader. Unfortunately, he manages to dodge out of the way letting the blast hit the wall. Luckily his aids are not as lucky as Fe manages to hit and cover one in rocks. Lucky and Lucia also manage to hit the two Kricketunes in the back. Rhiannon uses defense order and goes behind you facing the Ludicolo and his lackeys with some Combee aid.

Jonathan and his Pokémon preform a joint strike on the Kricketune hit by Lucky. It stumbles allowing Lisa to fire an arrow at it finishing it off. Digger then moves in to hit the Kricketune under rocks with a double-slap hitting it three times finishing it off. Mary then charges in on Storm and Lucky’s foe with strike from her electric charged axe. Alexander brings down a thunder on the Kricketune behind the leader followed by Maria and Flo striking him finishing it off.

Unfortunately, the luck stops there as Evan and Char are hit with two bubbles from behind. You turn to look at behind and see that the Ludicolo has fallen over and is rolling around with anger. Drake treis to hit the Kricketune leader, but misses his gust. Elizabeth and Earl also fail their attacks leading to Earl getting hit with a fury cutter. Two other Lombres try to hit Earl and Maria, but they miss fortunately for them.

Hey, Spruce. How was your day?

Well, since our... diplomacy attempts failed, Donn should try to Assault Ring the Ludicolo. It should be a comparably easy target, now that it is fallen over. And I doubt it likes ice too much.
Fe should go and take out the Kricketune with a Rock Tomb. Coming near to anything water-related doesn't sound too healthy.
Lucky should assist fighting the Kricketune with a Water Gun. Most of Lucky's moves aren't too helpful with the Lombres, anyway.
Lucia should help us take out the Ludicolo with an Electro Ball.
And finally, Rhiannon should buy us some space with a Gust against as many Lombres as possible.
And now watch me fail my rolls miserably, condemning all of us to certain death
