The thing about Strongest Style is that it's very core is rooted in Tai-Chi. Yes, Dan centered his entire fighting style around something non-combat related. Basically Strongest Style is an amalgamation of a lot of other style's weakest moves.

If we really want to get stronger, we'll hjave to scrapthe entire thing and renbuild it from scratch.

Dan has a lot of potential. His Gadouken, while slow and with short range, is one handed and takes no meter. Ryu can't even do that. Gouken is pretty much the only other person capable of that.

Honestly, I never saw Dan as the type to NOT be willing to learn from others. More like, nobody wanted to teach him because of his attitude, and his selfish motivation (avenging his fathers death).

Maybe this Dan, having avenged his father, is now ready to seek perfection in martial arts for their own sake and others are now willing to teach him.

Given his generalized / loose style, I think Drunken Fist with its misdirection is a good fit for his taunting style.
