Where can I buy cheap paper? If it is online that's a plus.
Paper for what? As you might understand it varies.
For papercraft, go to Staples or any office supply place to find heavier papers.
For origami, you can try the usual http://www.origami-shop.com/ (note they have a different site for the USA).
Also craft and hobby stores often have little packs of like 300 kami slices or something.
As for what paper you need as a noob, if it is for papercraft, just use regular printer paper. If it is for origami, kami and regular printer paper suffice.

my fucking sides.
I'm looking for a really specific type of paper that I've been having a hard time finding online. I need double color paper(red and green) but with the thickness of a business card. Every website I look at doesn't specify thickness, and cardstock is way to thick. Can you guys please help me? I know basically nothing about paper and would appreciate some tips on how to improve my search.
btw, I need it in sheet form or some other form that is a lot larger than a business card.
>thickness of business card
>cardstock too thick
what do you want, then
>>544899
I thought card stock was thicker than a business card?
I'm probably wrong, and in that case cardstock would be the thing I'm looking for.
Is it worthwhile for a complete beginner to buy a stack of origami paper, or should I just use lined writing paper/standard printing paper instead?
It is worth it for beginner stuff.
But not if you are a pro. Kami is kind of the worst for anything more complex than "intermediate". Also anything larger than 15cm also sucks.
>>542412
I say stick with lined unless you want your shit to look fancy. Once you get good theres some really nifty paper at origamishop . Com/Origamishop . Us
>>542407
Buy it, but buy in bulk. Kami Isn't very good paper, so if someone is charging $10 for like 25 pieces, you're getting shafted. You can get 500 pieces for like $25-30 (or at east the last time I bought it).
but here's a guideline to paper:
loose leaf/printer < kami < tissue foil < anything else < origamido I've been sticking with tissue foil for a while since I'm poor and it DIY, but origamido is the top shelf product and you'll be paying out the ass for it

these are nicer ones though... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3D-puzzle-for-adult-2015-New-Star-Wars-3D-Nano-metal-Puzzle-DIY-juguetes-educativos-brinquedos/32377138812.html?spm=2114.12010108.1000023.1.SQBqxH
There are so,e pretty awesome ones out there, I've got 5 just in aircraft and a few others.
Only problem is that you need to go super slow and super carefully or else the entire thing is ruined with one bent piece.
Don't bother with buying the special kit, you don't need the clippers, they just ruin the pieces, it's easier to just tease the pieces off the sheer.
I've found that forceps and tweezers are the best tools to use, I also wear gloves to avoid getting them full of fingerprints.
Looking for a birthday present for a friend who's super into papercraft and Call of Duty. Unfortunately, there isn't much out there. I was following the COD news and noticed this mech looks relatively simple. Would anyone be able to design a papercraft of it?
>>544577
"looks simple" Really depends on the level of detail you want and you will be hard pressed to find some one who would do it for free.
You will need to commission it.

Do they like CoD Zombie mode?

OP, that was the coolest thing I've seen all day and I started out the day on /b/, saw the new DBZ abridged, went and got some delicious paperwork. Total newfag to /po/. Literal virgin status on this board and the first time I'm here I see this.
Totally brightened my day
You sir, are not a faggit.

I don't know why you needed to know about my paperwork or why it was something I thought was cool, I'm fuckin high.
Hello, /po/, here is some OC for you.
This is a debit/gift card register to track how much money left on a card.
Have any other credit card sized papercraft?

How to use it? Cut out the dark area? Assembly?
Are books like these ever helpful/worth it?
No, not really. Don't waste your money.
I've seen all these wonderful papercraft done with entirely flat faces, but I was wondering if anybody else had done anything with curved faces. A while ago I dabbled a bit in it making segmented paper arthopods. Picture is the closest thing i could find.
You mean something like this one?
I found it in google search with "papercraft design curve" but there isn't much more there
Just asking if anyone out there thinks that this is possible.
>>537754
What's the matter?
You've got the full instructions... Try it!
>>537754
Well, I gave it a shot for you OP but I'm not 100% positive I followed the instructions correctly since I don't speak moon. But I deciphered the arrows best as I could so enjoy I guess.
this is all just a clever ruse for op to see some panties
