Me too. We're going to have to resort to paper maché
>>
>>546790
what is that?

Hey /po/

What do I do to glue structures together when there are no tabs to fold and glue? Such as on this pdf.
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>547188
Either just leave tabs where you know there should be tabs when you cut it out, or make fitting tabs afterward from strips of paper, fold them and glue them to both connecting parts
>>
Double tabs as the other anon said. They also look better on cardstock as the two sides stay at the same level
>>

Does anyone have a archive or anything of this from previous threads?

BEHOLD! The first ever life sized "Origami" car.....made from laser cut carboard and stacked in layers. http://www.odditycentral.com/auto/lexus-unveils-drivable-origami-car-made-of-precision-cut-cardboard.html
Totally origami, right?

This thread is for posting pet peeves about papercraft and origami.

I also hate cubecraft, it is the Pop! Vinyl figures of papercraft.

To be fair, the original video says it's "Origami Inspired", it's just the website that linked it that said it was origami.

Also remember that to mainstream people anything made out of paper is origami. I've made masks out of paper and people called them origami masks. It's just sort of the common vernacular.

How do people hide the glue in origamis? Do they just put small amounts of it? When I try you can easly see the glue.

Use something like modge-podge and water it down heavily, spreading it very thinly along the entire edge with something like a tongue depressor. Use a very light hand.

Ill try this

What makes paper so special to you anons?

It's everywhere and almost free. There's all kinds of shit you can do with it. Maybe I'm just poor.
>>
>>543786
Sometimes i guet a sentiment of guilt when buying "expensive" paper because i already have tons of paper. But i think, hey its only 3/4€ for HOURS of time occupation. Origami is really a dirtcheap hobby (if you download the books, that is).
>>
>>543783
it's pure whiteness and potential for job application forms

I just watched this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1iAnlSinqM
and was quite interested so I checked out this board but it has no wiki. I dont have time to waste here, does anyone have a wiki like something for me for papercraft and origami for real world usage, like wrapping gifts.
