What websites do you guys use to find papercraft templates? I used paper-replika.com and paperkraft.blogspot.com but paper replika doesn't get updated as often as I'd like and paperkraft is clustered with shit tons of fucking pokemon models.
>>544379
i use this a lot of the time for models i don't have or if someone requests a model i don't have i can usually find it here or use a little bit of google searching to try and help out.

Is this the place pepakura costuming armor belongs? It starts out as papercraft technically.
I guess?
This place could use more posts anyway.

Are you at this phase in the process or is this a random picture?

Anyone have the file to the Galaxia Sword? Every website linked to a dead link.

When i get a new kind of paper i've never folded before i often make a test fold to see how the paper behave. The model i like to use for this test fold is pic related (the rat of eric joisel). It's simple yet not simplistic, it has a lot of layers (so springness and thickness of the paper is challenged) and require final shaping.
What about my fellow /po/opers ? how do you test new paper acquisition ? If you also use some specific models to test a paper share it with us !

Also there is this website http://www.happyfolding.com/paper-reviews_introduction
if you guys want to read some reviews of paper.
Hi /po, is there any high-quality football papercraft out there? If not could someone possibly design one? I was thinking specifically for Portugal, to celebrate their first international trophy. I know there's a Ronaldo one but it's a bit cartoony.
no one gives a fuck about soccer

Great attitude you've got there my friend!
Are these hard to make? I'm kinda new to this. :/
Also how do I make one water proof. You know, so it doesnt dissolve in liquids
A model such as that one might be tricky for a beginner, but if you spend some time learning the basics (Canon's papercraft website has a good tutorial) you should be good with it if you take your time. Also, don't skimp on the materials and use stuff like printer paper and a glue stick. Get some good cardstock and use a good glue designed for stuff like this. Aleene's Tacky Glue is a popular product.
As far as sealing the papercraft goes, Mod Podge works well. Just don't expect your papercraft to withstand getting dunked in water though. It really only helps prevent minute amounts of water from ruining the ink on the paper.

Thank you anon. Youre a life saver

You're gonna cum on it aren't you?
I want to sell pre-printed fandom papercraft kits at anime cons to kids and other people who are new to papercrafting.
At the same time I know there are a good handful of people who use pep for cosplays and are familiar with it already, but I'm not sure if the models I want to sell will appeal to them.
Should I print lined models that feel more approachable, or should I print lineless and just include full instructions?
pic related, it's one of my models.
Nobody buys them so it doesn't matter. Everybody just wantes free stuff so you won't sell much and they have to be really cheap. Think it over

On top of that, you can and prolly will get sued if you try to sell fan art of copyrighted characters.
With the old thread gone it seems appropriate to begin anew. Feel free to post your collections, your works in progress, or your star hordes!
This was my anniversary present to my girlfriend. It was my first time ever doing stars, and they didn't come out as clean as I would've liked. I used three packs of star paper I picked up from a hobby store. I also cut up some receipts and tickets from dates we'd been on and folded those. It took around fifteen hours total. I threw in some larger construction ones to fill up the box which I regret. they were too large, poorly done, and clashed with the rest. I had an old necklace box which I repurposed and tied with a red ribbon.

I was inspired by a poster who made beautiful, accurate, globes of earth out of green and blue stars in plastic spheres. feel free to repost your collections and projects from the last thread

From the thumbnail it looked like that was a dead chicken that was plucked, rolled in sprinkles and set under a lamp
I found this and wanted to share.

I don't have any models like this.
Although it looks like you could do that with anything, just pop a balljoint or something like in the movie in the place of elbow of a figure
Ive been trying to make the pattern for Mccree's hand/arm. Is there any finished or pointers to be had?

I design pepakura for cosplays and I can tell you that taking the ingame file and putting it in Pepakura Designer isnt going to work too great. You will need to heavily modify it to fit on your arm.
I just found a punch of crease patterns I eventually want to get around to making, but I have no fucking clue what I'm doing. Are there any good places where you can learn how to get started on puzzling out crease patterns? Tadashi Mori has short video that didn't really explain much other than looking for familiar base fold CPs, and I read part of a couple articles that mostly just said "crease patterns are important."
Bump, i'm interested in figuring this out too
