What tf do I do with used tires? Throw them in the trash? In my neighbor's yard?

Do what niggers do and just throw them on someone's easement or in an empty lot.

Post the car you learned to operate manual transmission on.
Mine was the 2009 Toyota Hilux, dad's company truck.
Suzuki SJ when I was like 12, at my friends family farm
2010 VW Golf 5speed
Replaced my 2010 corolla after a boomer pulled out without looking and I got to see firsthand the "small frontal offset" performance of the Corolla (great for me, bad for car)
It's not fast but it's got more power than my corolla did and I love driving manual, it makes me sad it's a dying tech, I never want to buy an auto again
1990 Nissan 300ZX
My first car too. I miss it sometimes.
I enjoy the cleanliness of my Golf interior, but if you can post a better one that costs less than 35k then doooo it
(PS, I know it needs a vacuum)
Are you an holocaust survivor?
Not my car, but I wish mine was this clean.
Alright /o/, tell me if I'm being an idiot.
I'm getting married next Oct, and though she is getting her wedding, I only wanted one thing; to drive away in an old car with a "just married" sign and cans dragging behind.
Now, I could rent a really nice one for $1500 for 4 hours, not get my way and get a limo for $500, or I can buy this for $3000, and slowly get it looking good before the wedding.
Am I being reasonable or being an idiot?
1958 Ford Fairlane
352 V8 with a 3spd auto
Guy says it doesn't leak/burn any oil.
Runs, drives, and stops well.
Surface rust only, ac doesn't work (but is complete), and it needs shocks.
Obviously not going to buy it with out crawling all over it, but is the 352 (which he says is rare) going to cause me headaches? Am I getting ripped off? Will I possibly be able to Sunday drove this without crying at the pump?
More pics incoming.

>I'm getting married
Yes, you're an idiot. Glad I could help.
Outside of displacement laws and racing restrictions, is there any good reason to make a small turbocharged engine, versus a larger naturally aspirated engine making the same power?
>>17511697
Weight.
efficiency mostly. Computer controls and turbos are great, it lets the computer decide when and where to have boost.
This basically means it's variable displacement (I know its a dumb analogy but shut up) as the car can effectively change the amount of power the engine produces at X RPM or in X circumstance, which is more efficient than the engine just producing X power at X RPM because that's what it's mechanically capable of.
>>17511697
It may or may not be cheaper overall, and a bigger N/A maybe more complex to work on.
A turbo'ed inline six making the same power as a N/A V12 will be easier to work on and cheaper.
Also space restrictions, that I6 could fit in cars that the v12 would have problems fitting in.

more powerful, yes.
But it is also heavier and more expensive

Drove an auto Z3 400 to 500 miles a week for months. No major problems. Biggest issue was replacing the brake light switch.
>have lifetime alignment at fire stone tire and auto
>set up an appointment for today at noon
>show up 10 minutes early
>r u stayin or leavin?
>I'm staying
>durrrr it's gonna be about an hour n 45 minutes
Wtfffffffff reeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Why even bother with an appointment when I'm gonna be waiting around doing nothing for 2 hours
>>17510265
If you can't get the first appointment then expect a wait. This goes for anywhere.
In addition they know people that use the lifetime warranty on things like alignments tend to abuse it so they're not in any hurry to get you in.
>>17510396
>If you can't get the first appointment then expect a wait.
I have been "first" at the dealership and still had to wait. The appointment time apparently is only for the "check in" time and not the time that actual work begins on the vehicle. Despite being "first", my car continued to sit in the parking spot while other cars showed up later and went in for service on the lifts.
It probably has more to do with which techs are available to do specific work, or are already involved in other things. Appointments mean about jack shit, for the most part, other than being used to schedule major work, so the shop can line up the techs who are more skilled in the relevant areas for it.
So it's probably something to do with the one or two alignment techs at Firestone already being swamped, or are running behind.

What are some brands of tools that are made in NOT China? I tried to buy a new impact ratchet from the tool truck guys and just about every single tool they had was made in China. When I asked "do you have any made in USA? Japan? Germany?" all the tool trucks froze up. It's like buying Chinese shit is the norm and nobody questions it.
>>17503974
>It's like buying Chinese shit is the norm and nobody questions it.
That's mostly because it is....
Back in the day (like 10 years ago), chinese made stuff was considered junk, and rightly so. The manufacturing facilities didn't have the capability to accurately heat treat or machine parts, plastic blends were badly mixed and poorly formed, tolerances were generally whatever they ended up being and were rarely bothered about, and everything that came from there was just generally trash.
In the modern day tho, there are quite a few plants that can machine and cast parts just as well as their domestic counterparts, and in some cases better. As machine prices have come down and automation has taken over a lot of jobs, accuracy in tolerances and blends have been improved, casting technology, both metal and plastic, have improved drastically, and in general, china can now compete on a global stage when it comes to making durable equipment. It may not be the absolute best, but it's generally just as good as something made domestically for double the price.
tldr; quit bitching about chinese made crap. It's not as junk as it used to did.
snap-on

>It's not as junk as it used to did.
It is still junk though, its just that their quality control has only gotten slightly better as to weed out the blatantly bad crap.
The stuff that does make it over here still doesn't last as long.

When you say terribly designed, pic related comes to mind
It's decent to look at and noticeably hints at the original Challenger but holy fuck is it poorly thought out
-elbow constantly hits drink in cup holder
-steering wheel buttons are not flush and sensitive, in-car bitch always asking what you need
-most buttons behind shifter are mounted inconveniently low
-gauges are throwback style but hard to read
-lots of wasted space pretty much everywhere
