04 civic, d17a2, timing belt snapped, bent valves and so on.
replaced head, coil, plugs and crank sensor timing is set but only two cylinders are firing, other two have no spark. switched coils around no change.

Go post in the Civic section of Honda-Tech, that way the info will be available for others in the future and people that actually know about that car will be able to help you.
>>17513402
i was hoping for a an idea quicker, pulling the ecu to check for leaking caps....paid $200 for the car $30 for the coils and $75 for the head

i unironically want one of these with weebshit stickers all over it as a guilty pleasure.
Would also make a great wealth sleeper chariot to disguise how much income you actually have making people think you're some poor neckbeard.

Tell me where the FoSt touched your VAG or did your VAG get FiSt
What should I look for or consider when buying used tires /o/? I'm poor.
>>17512564
Look for this etching in the sidewall that says Hankook
>>17512564
Consider buying new tires. Why cheap out on one of the most important parts of your car? Its like cheaping out on brakes.
Just go to Les Schwab or your local tire shop, tell them you're poor as dirt and to get the cheapest new shoes you can afford.
Second hand quality tyres with a decent amount of tread are preferable to brand new chinese made tyres that are flat out dangerous from the factory.
Can someone red pill me on how brakes work? From what I understand, they are more or less a function of grip since the energy is just transferred into the tires. Wouldn't in theory then it be possible to just put ridiculously oversized slicks on a Miata with huge ass rotors/calipers/pads and do some insane 60-0 or 100-0 stops? Or is there some other variable I am not accounting for in this?
A Miata with huge slicks can't make it to 100?
>>17511591
that's pretty much it, big sticky tires and big brakes on anything will make it stop good
>>17511599
Only 50k miles. Located in Seattle. Its a 92 or 93

Am I the only person that doesn't like the plaid seats in the Golf GTI?
If you look at basically any review of the car, they rave about how much they like the plaid seats... I think they're hideous.
If they had plain black cloth seats, I wouldn't mind it one bit, but the plaid is just too much for me.
>>17510959
No taste fag detected
>>17510959
I used to have a 1989 Mustang GT with the plaid interior. It was pretty comfy
>>17510959
It's a German thing. You wouldn't understand
give me the cheapest car to own and repair with high mpg's /o/. right now I am seriously considering this. yes I am a poorfag college student.
3k Civic, Geo Metro or €500 Twingo
I need an answer to this as well, so far I am looking at cavaliers, escorts, but not an accent lol
You can also look at late 90s camrys.
Lucid air hits a top speed of 235 mph
https://youtu.be/6aRbhWk99Xk
>>17510793
The new civic type r gets up to 220mph with the speed limiter removed. I would expect more from this stupid air
>>17511995
>Civic
>>17510793
neat, but that car is stipped down. with an interior to match the price tag, it might end up under 200 (which is still good but not as impressive)
>>17511995
the idea is that an electric car can hit high speeds, unlike Tesla who insists on having no gearbox so they limit the speed.
Do you like drifting and drift culture?
>>17510745
Fuck those LARPing faggot powersliders
No, because drifting culture is essentially /o/ culture. Poor weebs that like to talk numbers and bench race but don't engage in any actual competition but they pulled the ebrake once in their underpowered shit box in their high school parking lot at night.
>>17510745
>pic of Haggard Garage miata
haggard garage is the absolute bottom of the totem pole when it comes to drifting/
I mean good for them for being able to take something stupid and fun and turn it into a job
t. someone who lives in the same state as them and about 30 min away from their shop
THAT being said. drifting is stupid fun, whether you are the drivet or the passenger/spectator.
Anyone who says different is usually a no fun having faggot.
I myself am indecisive in whether I should build a track grip focused car or a drift beater.
Red pill me on the Mitsubishi mirage
about to buy a 2017 mirage for 8k mates
>>17510714
It's the modern Geo Metro
I almost bought one myself but I didn't like how high the RPM goes on the highway because there's no 6th gear
Uh ok - save a few more bucks and go buy a used Fiesta ST.
>>17510714
Just get a civic for 3k instead.
Best engine layout/platform? Opinions + explanation if wanted. (Inline 6 imo)
