Hello there fellow 4chan users at /o/. I'm a newbie car driver (6 month from now on I got my licence), I'm looking for a cheap ass and good car, also it would be best in diesel (my father use diesel, so I just will "steal" fuel from him). And so I need a little help from veterans. I'm in love in Alfa Romeo 156 1.9 JTD, can someone spare a little info and private experience about that car. Or can propose other vehicle in Diesel or working well with LPG. Also it would be great if that car cost no more than 3000 PLN (700 Euros), I am a broke ass teenager from Poland (we are all fucking broke).

It's not like You can't get a car for 700 Eur in Poland. I've got to chose from: Opel Vectra B, VW Golf II/III. Alfa Romeo 156, Audi A4, BMW S3 E36, Fiat Punto II/IIFL, Opel Calibra, Peugot 106/205/306, Volvo V40/S40. In a really good condition.

Took my 99 M3. up the Mt Washington auto road today. Its an 11% grade over 8 miles. No guard rails and huge drops. Very fun drive. Lots of cars with over heating engines going up and brakes coming down. We had no trouble with either.
Well worth the trip.

Where do they come from and why are they mostly coming from Americans?
Does America receive worse built cars from Germany as a revenge for WW2?
If Jap and murrican cars are so great how come they don't sell as good in Europe?
I own a 2004 BMW 5 series E60 (the "unreliable generation") with an inline six turbo diesel engine with 450k kilometer mileage (280k miles) and there are almost no issues or anything, the car is my daily driver.
I've also owned a Mercedes with 230k miles, several other BMWs with 240+k miles, all of them have been solid cars.
Not even talking about all the Merc E class taxis with 400-500k miles.
But I keep hearing that German cars fall apart after 100k miles, they are bio degradable cars etc.
Or is it just poorfags trying to justify their Hondas?

I have the chance to buy a saab 9-5 for $4800 dollars and I'm not very mechanically inclined so thats why I am asking is it a good car and any tips for purchasing cars on craigslist also I know its kind of a high price but I think I'm gonna lowball first with $4000
