I really don't understand why these bagged 86 get so much attention at local car meets.
Even if there are much better and more appropriate cars on backs like 58 cadillacs and 1940s chevy style masters, these 86s get more attention.
I guess it's just the kind of retards that attend downshift I guess.

What the fuck are americans talking about when they say civic Si?
What the fuck is a Civic Si and are they good?
Isn't the Si the crap version that doesn't even have a b16?
Fuck is a civic Si and why do Americans always say "Civic Si" when talking about hondas?
>>15426685
Si is the performance model. Hasnt the b16 been out of production since the early 90s?
>>15426718
So the Si is the one with the b16a?
Shouldn't that be SiR or Vti-R?
>>15426685
It's their Type-R

Ok /o/, I've got a square similar to picrel, and looking for opinions on paint colors to do with it.
I'm considering two tone gloss black and white.
Halp.

>I'm considering two tone gloss black and white.
Worst choice. mexican/10
primary --- secondary:
light metallic blue - silver metallic
gunmetal grey metallic - black metallic
dark green metallic - cream
sage green - cream
sky blue - cream
brown - tan
this desu
Don't be a faggot and paint it black. It will cost you twice what any other color will.

Is it normal to go through a phase where you hate working on your car?
I got my first car last year. I do all maintaince and did my full exhaust and air intake along with other suspension work.
I don't think I like working on cars. I do but I don't. I don't know how to explain. I get frustrated easily and screw up sometimes. Is this normal?
When I did my long tube headers, that took me 2.5 days. I hated it. I ran into so many frustrating problems and headaches that it just made me mad as shit.
>>15425885
I have the same issue
My mindset:
>paying money to be angry and bloody your knuckles
Then i think:
>still cheaper than paying someone else
Worst thing is getting balls deep in a repair and realize youre missing something(s) and either cant get it for days or have to make 12 trips to the parts stores
>>15425911
Man at first I loved working on cars but when I did my long tubes, I was legitimately mad. When I started car, I thought they were leaking because of smoke coming out but that was PB blaster igniting.
I've never been so mad in my life. I was punching walls and throwing shit. The feeling of 2.5 days of nonstop wrenching all for nothing made me hate doing big tasks on my car... Does it help if you have a buddy? Luckily it wasn't leaking too.

You're better off buying something 150% completely fucking different, unless you like the idea of paying for a dodge avenger with less reliability.
>>15424806
not op but i thought nissans were up there in reliability with honda and toyota? or is it just old 2000s nissans that are good

I have the opportunity of buying 2 trucks at the same price and im happy with the price for both. They are a lifted 2008 ford f250 powerstroke no work other than lift and tires. And a 2008 gmc sierra nicely equiped but not much above the ford. I like both equally. Both have about 220km on it. I would only lean towards the ford because in its current setup it looks better. My question to yall is which is more reliable/better for maintenance costs and what i should expect to spend yearly on maintenance. I have a reno business but i tend to find myself more than id like to with my dodge ram 1500 which im not satisfied with in terms of reliability. Pic not related
Towing more than id like to *
> duramax
> ever
Had a coworker who owned a duramax, I shit you not that truck was in the shop 24/7. The only time it wasn't in the shop was when he barely needed to drive it, other than that he drove 1998 k1500 and treated it like his fucking baby.
Powerstroke however, that thing better be 7.3 or run.
>>15413535
There's nothing really wrong with the 6.0 and especially not the 6.4.
Fuck GM, though, I don't know why but their cars fall apart at such an accelerated rate.
Shamefully copied from legendary VINbro's threads
Old thread will autosage soon
Old thread here - >>15348240
>I am able to run US/Canadian VINs (anything with a fitting VIN; bikes, cars and so on) and US plates. For plates the same rules apply as VINs; 1981 or newer, US registered, and the plate and state are needed. Plates do work most of the time, but VINs are more reliable.
>Please remove hyphens (dashes) from VINs/plates - unless they happen to be part of a vanity plate. This makes copying and pasting easier.
>I can only run vehicles in/originally in the USA/Canada. If they've been exported from the USA/Canada, a report with their time here will be available. Not yet sure about imported cars.
>Vehicles need to be of the 1981 model year or newer. That's when standardized VINs began. Anything older simply cannot be run for a report.
>There are never I(i), O(o), nor Q(q) in VINs. This is to avoid confusion with 1 and 0. So if you are unsure, it is always 1 or 0 (not the case for classic cars, but they cannot be run anyway).
>VINs must be 17 characters exactly. No more, no less.
>If you want the PDF-file you can open the page source (F12) and search "amazonaws", copy the whole link and put it in your browser. This should allow you to download the PDF. If its not working send me an email at [email protected]. Please leave a reply if you do so
The fuck do you say shamefully copied from VINbros threads for? He wasnt the only one who ever ran VINs, he was just more consistently present than most and here recently.
It was awesome of him, yea, and you do a service as well, but its not some holy fucking act.
Yeah, you have an account most dont and help others out. He did too. Neither of you are gods, and nothing about this is sacred.
But I believe you have run one for me a few months back, and he definitely did a few, so thank ye.
Just take the shameful out. You're either using the word wrong or sucking his e dick waaay to muh.

Yes, and shame plays no part in the copying of that text, no?
