>>15669894

Hey/o/
Yes i know the rules and this is technically against it, however Im just wondering if anyone else has ever had the same problem i have.
Car revs its self / rough idle / breaths when its idle
yet if i unplug the Mass air flow sensor it runs smooth but w/ engine managment light
Ive just purchased a new MAF but wont get it until tuesday
Im hoping it'd fix it but just wondering has any one ever had this problem?
my car is 318d ES bmw e90 lci 2011 (190k miles on clock 305k KM)
PIC Related
Yeah, it's the MAF.

I drove without front plates for years, never got stopped for it.
Now I'm in a state with no front plates and glad I never drilled my bumper.
Should I get an associates degree in CAD drafting and CNC machines so I can have a nice career and build custom stuff for my car on the side? The local CC offers a nice program with certs.
Does anybody here work as a CAD drafter?
>>15668944
I don't anymore. It's boring as fuck. I like working with solidworks but not all day everyday. Unless you find a really unique company it will become extremely repetitive. See if you could get a tour of some of the companies you would consider working for do you can see if the job is a fit for you.

What do you do now?
What's the difference between an Si and a Type R?
>>15668843
Si is for the NA market.
>>15668892
No.
Japan had Si and Si-R before type R
>>15668843
Si is the more casual, cheaper sport model. Type R is the more costly track focused model. It has more super srs sport suspension and brakes, more powerful engine, and more factory rice.
Why did the oil crisis have to ruin everything? Clearly 1965-1973 is the golden age of automobiles

Basic, crew cab Ram 1500 from 2016. Dealership is selling the floor model for that price flat. IT's a very good deal but:
How easy is it to mod these things? Is it worth it if I want to keep this 2016 model for longer than 5-10 years? Should I just get a 2010-2012 Ford Ranger instead?
I also looked at the suspension. It seems that they're not spring operated but two metal bars that act as springs. How easy is it to lift-kit these?
ram a shit
I thought they got rid of the torsion bars for the 4th gen 1500
>>15668705
I thought they had leaf springs like the Ford Rangers (from what I saw) but I don't have a good memory, lol. I know my friend's F-150s can just be disked but leaf springs definitely cannot be which is kinda annoying.
Why are rams shit? New 2016 Colorado maybe?
Your shitbox dd breaks down on a forgotten country road. A strange looking man approaches you and offers to take your car as an even trade for any car on his lot. You look behind him, it looks like an used car lot stuck in the sixties. You see only five cars on his lot.
The choices:
1. A '94 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 with a Dana 60 on the front, a Dana 80 on the rear, a custom transfer case and 6spd automatic transmission, and powered by a 6.7l cummins.
2. A 2002 Plymouth Neon, modified to be rear engined, rwd, and powered by a twin-supercharged Viper v-10.
3. A dead stock, mint condition '87 Porsche 911 w/ 0 miles. Like it was fresh out of the factory.
4. The crushed remains of a Lamborghini Huracan.
5. An old Lincoln with a custom built W32 made out of 4! Ford flathead V8s.
Which do you choose? Or do you keep your car?
>>15668406
Dead stock porsche, i can sell it and buy a better car back home.
tell the old man he doesn't know what he has and insist we list all his cars on craigslist
>>15668406
The Porsche is objectively the correct answer
>YouTube car wash guide
>it's 50 steps long, takes 2 hours, requires 15 different products and a fucking $300 water softener that attaches to the hose
Why is this allowed? What ever happened to soap, water, a rag/sponge, and glass cleaner if you're feeling lucky?
Swirl marks my dude
>he needed to watch a tutorial to learn to wash his car
some people can afford to make their car look nice OP, get over it you poor faggot.
Been looking at 2010+ ford focus as my new daily driver.
>Not expecting huge speed
>Do want good mpg/reliable.
>The 2010+ models are ~$5k in my area
Any better ideas than that?
>>15667788
A 4-9 year older civic is a better car.
