It's been a while since I made a thread. I'm looking for a comfortable daily driver that is easily accessible for my disabled self. After months of test driving various vehicles, I can't comfortably get into any normal sedan. So I'm forced into looking at crossovers, SUVs, or trucks.
Budget is $40k-ish. So far I'm looking at...
>GMC Canyon SLT V6 LFX 4x4 ($32k)
>Lexus RX 350 Base ($40k)
>Mazda CX-9 Touring ($35k)
>Toyota Tacoma Limited ($38k)
>Ford F-150 Lariat ($41k)
>Ford Flex Limited ($39k)
>GMC Sierra 1500 SLT ($39k)
Personally, I'm iffy about crossovers. I feel like they're not very practical, and with the Flex and CX-9 there's going to be a lot of empty room if I'm going to be hauling 3 people at a time. I'm also not too keen on buying a full-sized pickup due to the sheer size of modern pickups. I'm really leaning towards the Canyon, it's the cheapest, most well-equipped, and hit all the marks on comfort and ease of access. Plus once I do get a bit better I'll be able to use it whilst hunting or camping later on.
Also, I travel multiple times a week to go in the city for doctors appointments and surgeries. Full-sized pickups weird me out every time I rent one, but damn they're absurdly comfortable.
You probably shouldn't be driving at all if you're crippled like that
Get the canyon, flex kind of sits low and goes against your busted ass issues
Who can identify this car? I know its gotta be a dodge from the steering wheel
>inb4 broke bitches flashing payday
$300 oh shit almost enough to buy another dodge
Lol grand caravan?
Chrysler Concorde? 300m?

>>15659062
was thinking about it, but coupes are usually either in shit condition or really expensive
>>15659075
I don't think there was a 190 coupé.
Nice car, OP. You did good.

What the fuck am i supposed to do with it?
>>15658875

Are french cars shit like I hear?
(I'm a car noob)
How shit do you hear?
>>15658835
Never fucking buy any French car, it'll explode die fall apart smell make you feel bad AND they are slow and boring/bad to drive around even in a "slow" (city centre) setting.
>>15658829
pictured car is clearly awesome.
What does /o/ think about the i3? Thinking about getting one as a daily driver. The second-hand market for these is cheap. I am looking at one in my area for 22k. I know heat is a battery killer and I live in Arizona so am I going to go through battery packs more often?
>>15658799
The i3 is a decent product as an average daily driver, but for what I do, I would prefer to have an i5 or i7.
I think you meant to ask here:
>>>/lgbt/
>The second-hand market for these is cheap.
Gee, I wonder why.
ITT: Times you fucked up wrenching your car / bike. I've had two bigger fuckups wrenching my Kawasaki:
Installed new chain and somehow messed up installing the connecting link, chain breaks on highway. Was super lucky that it didn't bind the back wheel and I managed to stop safely.
Other fuckup was when I was installing magneto back in to the bike, I somehow managed to install the pickup coil wrong way. Spend quite a while wondering why the fuck it won't start. Luckiky the flywheel only broke the plastic casing but the coil was fine otherwise and worked once I turned it around.

> Removing chrome bumper from car
> It's attached with coach bolts
> It's been attached for 41 years
> Struggling to get the nut off
> Pull out the cheater bar and start hammering it
> Snap the nut off and the thread
> Spend a couple days looking at it until I realised I could hammer the rest out with a punch
>fuel leak
>replace fuel line under intake manifold
>car doesn't start
>turns but no bang action
>start removing intake manifold and icv
Wait a minute...
>Car was out of fuel.

Broke a few of those panel clips. That is all.
It's hard to fuck up when you have google and Haynes manuals. As long as you have the right tools.
Times you fucked your shit up. Let's see em.
Pic related: Not mine but wife's. Some ass ran a light & she smacked them head on. Fucked her up pretty good. Daughter (in back) required surgery where the seatbelt tore her intestine under the force.
Cruising down the street in my 08, some van stands before a small entry to a hospital parking lot, blocking the entire view for me to the entry and for the cunt standing in the entry with her Mondeo. She didn't see shit and drove out wot. Hit me at the passenger side, sending me sliding across the street. I thought only the wheel and some panels would need replacement, but the frame and axle were also bent and replacing airbags is apparently fucking expensive. 15k€ damage to a 12k€ car. At least she admitted everything on the spot and to the police.
This was the end of my first car.
Fun fact: I would have hit a mom with a baby stroller if I hadn't countersteered.
At least no one was hurt like in >>15658736
Is your daughter well again?
>>15658736
>Times you fucked your shit up.
you did that when you bought a kia anon
>>15658753
>Is your daughter well again?
She is, anon. Thanks. Week in the hospital (wife spent 4 days, some internal bleeding). Our 3 year old son slept right through it of u can believe that shit & wasn't harmed at all. Baby seats are something else.
>>15658766
Not my idea. She has a job & that's what she wanted so that's what she did. As far as I'm concerned it did its job & they're alive.
is this the best thing that ever happened?
>>15658619
looks pretty cool, shame it would never make it to production like that
>laughinggirls.png
>>15658649
go buy a ford you amerifat shitface
Let's get a /o/ humor thread going. It's been a while.
V6>V8
>>15658585
(Low weight + power) > (medium weight + higher power)
One minute into the thread and the v8 vs v6 meme is brought up.
For every Mustang driver that peeled out from a parking lot trying to look cool, slammed their gas when the traffic light turn arrow flipped green, or is just generally ignorant to throttle control and losing their back end: I drive my mustang gt 60MPH in the right lane on the interstate for your sins. Every day to and from work. getting passed by everything.
PS. yes it is an automatic
>>15658571
kys before you reproduce
>>15658577
for being a calm, responsible driver? righto
You do it because you think you'll be pulled over more easily or out of some sense of shame over something that literally no one cares about?
Best mpg cars
I think I might buy an accord hybrid/ or crz
Or if I go full electric maybe a fiat
Any advice?
>>15658389
CRZ FTW
civic
Get a volt
Redpill me on the aw11. Talk me out of looking for one.
I've owned a couple s13s and an fc and do not support drifting. The car would be kept in a climate controlled garage and not beaten on.
>>15658287
>Redpill me
>>>/pol/
fucking do it
love mine so much. heaps of fun
A Model S has a 1 in 2.5 million chance of burning down while charging at a Tesla Supercharger. This statistic is based on the fact that Superchargers have been used 2.5 million times with only one report of a fire earlier this year in Norway.
>Tesla will update the Model S software for safer charging following a Supercharger fire
Tesla Model S battery bursts into flames, car “totally destroyed” in 5 minutes
http://arstechnica.com/cars/2016/08/tesla-model-s-france-battery-fire/
I figured something like this would happen, batteries get hot very fast when you cram amps into them at a fast rate, and this is in addition to the batteries being very hot from driving already.
Statistics are fucking useless bullshit.
Either it happens, or it doesn't.
>>15658623
I guess the Superchargers are useful for long trips and convenient fast charging, but it seems like using 110V to keep your Tesla around 50% would lead to the longest battery life
>95% of millennials don't have a drivers license
Whats wrong with millennials /o/?
>>15658155
Dank thread.
Boomers and a leftist education system combined with global economic collapse are why 30% of teens don't have their drivers license.
All of my mates have a license. And even if some of them don't drive a manual car we all know how to.
Where is this number from? What country does it apply to, and which gender specifically? A man without a car is fucked. Even a puttering little 1.3l diesel Fiat is above a busrider.
>99% of people talk shit out of their ass
What's wrong with shitposters?
