I like the GTR and I'm seriously thinking of buying it. I make 100k/year so I can technically afford it I should probably use that money to pay off my house but you only live once so why not live a little?
That being said, why shouldn't I buy a GTR (non nismo of course) and what's a better car for the money? I live in the midwest and would be my daily driver.
You can pick up a 2012 for like 60k
Not many better cats really unless you're also interested in a 911
Maybe you should test drive one first...and if you were remotely serious you would already have other cars in mind at that price range.
that money would be better spent on DMT coke and heroin if you wanted to live a little
just go on a test drive
I would rather have something like a BMW M or AMG for that money if were talking DD but thats me
Will driverless trucks render human truck drivers obsolete? What will this mean for highway safety and for the economy?
>>16829711
No, they won't be overtaking truck drivers in your life pal, no need to worry
At first you'll see large companies (UPS, Walmart, etc) shift towards autonomous trucks that have a driver in case of emergency or a weird parking situation. But as time goes on you'll see trucks become able to guide themselves wherever, and third-party companies that can track down disabled autonomous trucks for a repair and release, and then you'll start to hear about massive layoffs in the trucking industry in favor of engineers to design. Then there will just be a bunch of engines with senors and some cargo shuttling down the highway.
>>16829711
It seems to me refueling a truck will still involve a human being, until trucks can hold 2,000 gallons of fuel...
Can we all agree that the Mustang just looks sexy as shit
Even the V6 seems to have a reason to exist now. They actually fucking turn these days (they BTFO the SN95 in every conceivable way) and make the 86 pointless.
>>16823647
Yes, it's a good looking car OP.
I hope the GT500 is TTv8
Not really, and this is coming from a guy who's owned 6 mustangs. Call me a poorfag or whatever but when I seen this design it really didn't capture my attention. I'll even go as far as saying the new Camaros, Challengers and Chargers look better than it. This is all opinion but to me it looks unpreportional and is shaped like a dumb stingray. That doesn't matter much since most people seem to like it.
>>16823655
They have been way faster and better than the SN95 since the S197s had the 3.7 put in them. I still despise the existence of any V6 variant when a V8 exists with any of these cars.

I'm interesting in buying an NA FC and I'm curious what most of you guys think would be fair value and what I could expect out of one in terms of issues. It's a rotary so clearly a lot of people might just not maintain in the way it should, but how would I be able to tell if it's been well taken are of or not? Also what sort of options do I have for power gain in the future?
I'm in SoCal and looking around on craigslist I see a lot of them going usually from $4k to $6k.
>>16833123
I never understood the OMG Rotary Maintenence meme.
It's literally: change your oil and your spark plugs; premix if you wanna go the extra mile
Also N.A. FC motors gave been known to do 250k miles
>>16833152
Plenty of people don't even bother to do those things with regular engines let alone rotaries, that's all I'm worried about.
>>16833169
People who maintain their cars externally tend to maintain them internally as well. Just get one that isn't ratty as fuck and doesn't have any noticeable mechanical issues during the test drive and you'll be fine. If you're set on an FC, save up a bit and get a Turbo II. The NA FCs are painfully slow and have weaker parts.
If you had $250,000 (235.749€) and had to purchase a super/exotic car, which would it be?
You have to buy a singular car
You cannot save the money and cash in on interest and buy a car later with more money
You have to describe if you want any options or any other things you may want added onto the car
And lastly, mention what transmission style you want, and fight with other people about it
I'm gonna make the predictable, sensible choice:
911 Turbo S.
Mostly because a Carrera GT will cost way more than $250k.
>>16832998
$250,000 still isn't enough to get a Carrera GT.
Wow, look how light it is
>>16832968
Bare fucking pieces of aluminum are usually light, yes.
Jeez, I guess they had to part it out after that track incident.
>>16832986
wierd to see that it had no frame damage either.
those c7 frames must be very strong!
What's /o/''s oppinion on the 2011-2014 BMW X3?
Looks, usefullness, etc.
>>16832649
Why an X3?
An X5 will be better offroad car than the X3
If you don't want offroad, why buy offroad car?
>>16832667
I went for the 2l engine because of the Romanian regulations. For owning a 2l engine car you pay 50$ tax a year, for a 3l you pay 500$. And that's without the insurance. How that wouldn't be such a huge problem however, I think that a 2l engine, 184hp is big enought for me, especially as this is my first car.
And I won't be using it offroad. They're really not offroad cars.
>>16832667
Also, I like the agressive look of the X3 better. I will be changing my kidney grills with some all black ones when i put on my summer tires.
I'll start with an obvious one: delivery truck drivers.

>robots deliver your packages.

Yes there is still some about, but they will soon be extinct

Cadillac confirming they are considering a production Escala
Will they finally do it?
>confirming they are considering
Literally means nothing
It's pointless until they have a V8
Until the tooling has been created, it confirms nothing.
I can confirm I still consider eating tacos for lunch, but odds are I will make a sandwich.

$7k for a fire truck.
What do you think the 0 - 60 is on that thing?
Do you think it could beat a corvette on the burgerking?
>>16831723
Can you drive that with a normal license in clapistan?
>>16831723
i want to daily a firetruck.
Alright, so I have a bit of a dilemma here.
I was looking at buying a new car this weekend but I only have time to see one...
Car A: Base model, some cosmetic damage, just had an engine rebuild with less than 10 miles on the new engine, owner has receipts of all the engine work done at a shop, but it's being sold private party by a guy who flips cars for a living. 2007 with 118000 miles. I could afford it outright in cash, with plenty leftover.
Car B: Touring model, has more airbags, DSC and a sunroof, like new condition. Super clean, even has factory all weather mats and a clean CarFax that the seller is willing to show me. 2008 with only 113000 miles. Sold at a dealership. The price is a little high though, if I talk them down to something reasonable, I still might have to finance the remaining amount, somewhere around $1000.
Both cars are first gen Mazda3 hatchbacks. I need to buy a new car this weekend, waiting is not an option, but I really don't wanna have to finance. Is it okay since it's only $1000? I would just get the first one, but i really don't know if I can trust it...
Which one is right?
My main goal is to buy a daily that will serve me for a couple of years, but that still looks presentable and is fun to drive.
Whichever one is 2.3L manual hatch.
Love mine.
