jesus christ this is so fucking sad. when will they just give up? It obviously didn't work in the run-up to the election, why would it work after.
Worst thing is there's some half-decent artists here, why would they waste their time putting their effort into political bullshit everyone will forget in 4 years.
>all proceeds will go to organizations that support causes threatened by Trump’s proposed policies: All Above All, Cosecha, Hoosier Action, People’s Climate Movement, and Southerners On New Ground
that's pretty obviously why they're doing it, idiot
Yeah why would people bother making music to reflect their feelings on something important to them
If you don't care about the message then you aren't being forced to listen to it
It's pathetic. They're obviously just doing it to assuage their own egos. Such desperate need to status signal.
Are there any living composers as talented as Mozart?

>tfw you immensely adore the album and think it's perfect but the confrontational tone of the OP will cause people to shit all over it
I kinda don't want to watch
Are Kero Kero Bonito the most innovative artist of the 2010s? Dead serious name one other band doing all the shit they're doing now. It's post-modernism in music form.

>finally get to hang out with music majors and performers
>mfw they're all plebs
Half of them just listened to the same pop music every else did and the most "patrician" of them were only at basic /mu/tant levels. Despite playing and studying classical music they didn't give two shits about it outside school/work. When I asked one of them why he liked a certain song, he just said "I dunno, I just do," and when I asked if he thought about the music theory behind it, he just said, "I don't really think about that stuff if it's not for school."
You people lied to me. Enough with that "you have to play music to be a true patrician" crap.
Dont worry about what is patrician or not, just listen to what you like. I used to worry about that a lot and it constricted my tastes, now that ive let go of it, ive found music I like more, and more of it.
srs question when the fuck has anyone here discussed music theory behind songs, am i looking in the wrong threads or something is there some fucking hidden general where you guys have intelligent dicussion
Yeah, this is a very common trend. The reason people get music majors isn't because they love music, its because their parents told them to "DO WHAT YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT!!!" They end up using their fake love of music as an excuse to not have to get a real degree. People just want to feel "artsy".
