My favorite Beatles songs sre all granny shit. I sincerely believe When i'm 64 is Better than a Day in the Life
I sincerely think When I'm 64 is McCartney's brain in a nutshell
kinda the ambient music that plays in the background of his head as he does his daily things
Paul's granny shit is the best granny shit in music history
>>70585769
Well... it is better.
A Day in the Life has all the pomp and brass that tricks people into thinking they're listening to something profound and life altering. When I'm Sixty Four is unpretentious but immaculate
Any Of Montreal fans on /mu/? If so, favorite album and why?
I have to say I think Paralytic Stalks has maybe grown to be my favorite.
Also, it's kind of funny but I think they've been one of my favorite bands without me not realizing it until recently when I looked at just how many records of theirs I've enjoyed and still listen to.
>>70585726
Paralytic Stalks is extremely underrated. And yeah, I too did not realize for a while how much I liked them until I noticed how many albums of theirs I enjoyed.
What's your favorite album in the Cherry Peel-to-Aldhils Arboretum era, anon?
>>70585726
Yes Paralytic Stalks is their best album, but it will never be considered that because Pitchfork panned it for no reason. Even the rating on RYM is pretty low.
>>70585805
Probably Gay Parade from what I recall. Been re-listening to their discography recently but haven't gone back to that era much yet.
The indisputable greatest drummer of all time died.

Reminder that Future Days is their best album
>>70585707
I go back and forth a lot on which album is their best, but if you put a gun to my head I would say Tago Mago. Because of the fact it has their best song, Halleluwah, on it.
Can will always be one of my favorite bands ever. They totally changed how I look at music, Once I first heard Can my taste changed completely.
I have had some of the best musical experiences hammered drunk listening to Can at unreasonable volumes.
>>70585707
Listened to it front to back the first time a couple days ago and maaan it makes it alot harder to decide which is my favorite. Ive always been partial to ege bamyasi but now its a toss up
Noise """music""" is the equivalent of someone slapping a paintbrush against a canvas and selling it for millions.
Go ahead noisefags, prove me wrong... guess what? You can't. I'm objectively right.
inb4 someone takes the bait

While you're right, they're both still art
Well you have the option of not listening to it.
Yet, I still think they stink

What's the 2010s equivalent of krautrock/post-punk? The one scene where people are always pushing music forward while still having an ear for songwriting?
