>tfw Carnival of Light will be released this year
nah
[citation needed]
i hope it's a big fat (chubby) disappointment
This is literally taken from an interview:
>The first song she wrote, aged 16, was Come, although it didn’t turn out as planned
>I tried to make a classical guitar and voice song
>But I was using this software called Fruityloops
And you all know the whole "Just don't fucking cry to me when your illegally downloaded version of frooty loops can't handle this brutal drop" right?
What are you saying?
Who is this?
Why should I care?
>>71735400
>What are you saying?
There was some retarded video YEARS ago that went like "Oh, for the tips there, bruv
Can you tell me what program I should use?
You can use anything you like
Just don't fucking cry to me when your illegally downloaded version of Fruity Loops is unable to keep up with this brutal drop"
I can't find it now but it existed.
When I saw fruityloops mentioned in the interview I instantly broke out laughing I hope someone will know what I'm talking about.
>Who is this?
This is some Frenchie who somehow manages to make music herself and not credit 10+ "producers" for manufacturing music for her
>Why should I care?
Because you're a normie and this will probably become top 40 music now that it's catching on in the US. Soon she'll have 0 creative freedom and the music she "makes" will be handed to her all that's needed is a signature and YOU'RE A BIG STAAAAAAAAAAR
did she died?
>band has two drummers
How many times a day will you repose this shit ?
>drummers in two bands

>ctrl+f: >band has two drummers

What the fuck are you talking about anon?
Pinkerton or the blue album
>>71734890
the blue album > Pinkerton
Anyone who disagrees is confirmed pleb.
>>71734932
buddy holly is a good song ofc but pinkerton blows the rest of the album out the window with tracks like pinkerton and pink triangle and butterfly.. not to mention el scorcho. Pinkerton is just a more defining and epic album, while the blue album was cool because buddy holly was an easter egg on windows 95.
>>71735052
>not thinking undone, say it aint so, holiday, surf wax america, only in dreams are all literal 10/10's
>like I said. pure pleb filter.
/mu/ BTFO once again
>critics
>relevant
pick one. Nobody will care about poptimist memerap 20 years from now
Let me know when Scaruffi gives his opinion
>>71734864
You're retarded, look at all the shitty pop stuff thats still relevant from the early 2000s and from the 80s. Plebs are persistent.

It reminds me of being young and getting lost in the woods or walking through the suburbs and sitting on the sidewalk and getting lost in your own thoughts. It sounds like pure nostalgia...
The ending of I Only Said alone makes me want to cry from happiness. Come In Alone makes me feel shivers from the sound of the 90's and dark hallways at an abandoned school. You know those movies you used to love when you were young? That smell of old times? This is it in music form. This album is perfection.
*cries from nostalgia*
True
>A completely pedestrian work. The groundwork is bland melodies that no one could make appear anything but amateurish, thus Shields & co. decided to cleverly hide them amidst loud and irritating drone, some cardboard drums and vocalists so bad I seriously cannot fathom why anyone ever thought it was a good idea to record them. Now, I obviously do not oppose the concept itself, given my well-established love for The Jesus & Mary Chain, but I feel there is a fundamental difference between the bands: while JAMC worked noise into songs, taking ear-piercing white noise as something to work with harmonically, MBV layer chunks of coarse not-quite-so-white noise over their subpar Britpop trifles of songs. The result is not hypnotising, haunting, dreamy or whatever vague adjective you choose to apply, to me it all sounds rather morose. The work of a band who dabbled in pop music and (understandably) decided it was not their forte, choosing to expand their half-formed songs to crude noisy "jams" that certainly don't sound like quarter a million pounds was spent on them. It's lifeless, anemic, and essentially boring.

Talk about sound synthesis, share your setup, and shit on everyone's choice in synth.

depends. what do you want out of a synth?

an affordable wurlitzer/fender rhodes electric paino/organ - but the deal breaker is small unweighted keys, and the price seems a little high for what you're getting.

Before David Bowie's death:
>who? wasn't that ziggy starman or something
After David Bowie's death:
>OMG RIP DAVID BOWIE :'(, I WAS LIKE THE BIGGEST FAN OF HIM. HE WAS SO TALENTED AND AN INCREDIBLE HUMAN BEING. MY FAVOURITE ALBUM IS ZIGGY STARDUST. RIP IN PIECE SWEET PRINCE HE'S FLOATING IN A GALAXY IN SPACE
Fucking normie cunts, I want to eviscerate them
I feel the same way, I hate those pieces of shit. But what's the point of this thread.
>>71734269

do you humanity my dude?
>>71734269
This reads like some raging Reddit shit.
Bowie always had a huge following. He was never limited to anything underground; if anything, he was normie as any other glam ____ of the time, if popularity aND reknown are how you define it. You'd literally have to live under a rock to not know who he was.
mine is blink, i love those emo faggots.

I just got into Swans, and I'm wondering how it's possible for a band which was formed such a long time ago to STILL, well in 2014, release such a solid and original TASTEFUL album that doesn't feel like "well this band was amazing 30 years ago, I guess it's cool they still make music - better than nothing"
How?
>>71734161
because gira's actually a genius and a very thoughtful, inspired person. That should be clear by looking at their career, their sound was constantly evolving, and at no time were they ever definable by a single genre or movement, nor did they have any obvious influences. I think they're one of the best bands that's graced this earth.
