Honestly, I think the pod is such a great and unique album
It's almost like the sound they were going for is that they were trying to make what a bad acid trip would sound like on record
Like it's not as intense and in your face as normal psychedelic rock or as reverb controlled distorted as shoegaze but almost like a mix of both.
I can't find any album that has moved me the same way the pod has, its like what it'd be if you were in an endless acid trip in a gas station located in the middle of nowhere. It's depressing and lonely as fuck but playful and full of dark humor.
Some people say the butthole surfers locust abortion technician has the same sound but it just doesn't give off the same vibe. They seem very similar either way to me though nonetheless..
Am I insane for liking this more then any other album ever?
Now you're on the couch
>>71733223
No you're not insane. You think it is the greatest album ever, because, objectively, it IS the greatest album ever. Nothing even comes close.

YOU CAN'T EVEN MOOOOVE YOUR FUUKING HEAAAAAAAAAD
What are the stoners listening to tonight? This always gets me in the mood
Pink Floyd - Animals (Vinyl)
>>71733172
I love this album. Been listening to it a lot recently.
DUDE WEED LMAO
I've found myself obsessed with this album
Call me a faggot but I only just started paying attention to death grips recently and this is the art I've been dreaming of. Am I retarded?
What's your favourite song from each side?
>Call me a faggot
Faggot
It's a good album. It has its flaws though. The mixing on Jenny Death is seriously bad. The tracks themselves are good for the most part but the mix ruins most of them. Niggas On The Moon contains some of their most boundary-pushing work to date.
Better than Endtroducing
Better than Donuts
natch
Different atmosphere/texture than Endtroducing
You're comparing a crunchy apple to a juicy orange
i know it was a few days ago but i've been working...
10 tracks, we'll name them tonight and work on them until this time saturday (4am GMT sat.) then that night we'll have a listenalong/stream
theme will be the first dub*, then tracks.
*unless it's shit
69 or 42 gets the album art, and the artist name and then the album name, unless we get trips first, then that's the title track.
it'll go live @ https://thisisnotthebandname.bandcamp.com/

Today we'll be voting on the second round.
For discussion:
Which albums did you root for in the first round?
Which albums are you rooting for in the second round?
Which album do you think will win and why?
Which albums should've been included in the tournament?
Does this tournament have the potential to reshape /mu/ and /mu/core?
How often should these tournaments take place?

Ugh why do people defend this album? Everyone know Illmatic and It Was Written (and even that took us 10+ years to get into) are the only viable albums in Nas's discography.

Also Egyptian stuff was cool in the 90s.
What the fuck even is this board?
Its just a bunch of autists pretending to like shitty music for the sake of being contrarian.
All of the shit posted here is objectively awful.
>>71732377
You think we don't know that. We're just afraid to lose our edge bro. Bad bait.
>>71732377
it's sad how much they're elitist about it too
>>71732430
dont lose your edge bro it's the only thing that goes with your inability to comprehend music thoroughly
hey, this is pretty good.
>>71732295
All of Rilo Kiley's music is good. Its a shame they dont get mentioned more often.
Blake's a weak vocalist but Jenny's a star man. Under the Blacklight is a little too much commercial-core music for me, but Silver Lining, Dejalo, and Close Call are some jams.
>>71732360
Even Blake does a really good Elliott Smith impression on this. All of the songs are great.
>>71732857
Yeah Blake and Elliot both have that wildness. I just said that because Jenny has so much range compared to him.
On their album More Adventorous. They have two songs dedicated and about Elliot(Ripchord and It Just Is). That record definitely has some of the indie rock on this record (Portions for Foxes, Love and War, It's a Hit) but it also has some little Dusty Springfield-esque memphis soul that sounds like it so easy for them that theyre smirking. Best indie-rock/pop band I've heard. I'm a big fan.
SOAD was my gateway into metal, where should I go next?
>>71732270
somewhere good
>>71732270
back out the gate
>>71732270
if you wanna go to the beginning, go to the first 7 black sabbath albums, if you want 80's, go to the first 4 metallica albums, if you want 90's, go to Pantera, if you want current, god help you.
Any Jamiroquai fans here?
