/m/ I am an amateur game dev working on a pretty simple project game in UE4 (top down twin stick shooter featuring a customizable mech).
I'm planning on most of the mechs primary armament being carried as a gun-pod type configuration in the manipulators (these are anthropomorphic as it lets me use readily available mo-cap libraries with a little massaging).
However, I realized that very few pieces of artwork of mecha show them carrying any kind of spare magazines or reloads for their primary armament.
The only anime that immediately comes to my mind that shows a reload of a gunpod is Macross Plus (the fight between the veritech prototypes at the end).
I'll post up what art I've been able to find, but anything you can suggest to me or show me of mecha with reloads present or even better, actually performing a reload, would be super helpful.

Did I get it right?
Real Robot = Gundam, Macross, VOTOMS, Patlabor, Gunbuster
Super Robot = Mazinger, Super Sentai, Getter Robot, anything Go Nagai.
So real robot is basically anything that is made as a machine and don't have any kind of magic, also the setting is realistic as the more powerful robots requires factories and all the production dificuilties involved and not just a mad scientist to build them out of nowhere from their own lab.
While super robot, or the robot comes from magic items, or the robot is made from a single scientist who build it inside his own magical lab.

I have no source to back this up, it's just some shit that I heard, but I like to believe that it's true: Supposedly the guy who designed the 1998 Godzilla was really happy that his monster appeared in Godzilla: Final Wars, even as a joke about how weak it was, because he was a huge fan of the franchise and he was just happy that his monster got to be in a proper Japanese Godzilla movie.
Could be lies, but I would like it if it were true.

Something that takes me out of enjoying most UC writing these days is just how much Zeon sympathizing there is. It's one thing to show both sides to the story, or show the circumstances that allowed Zeon to become such a horrendous fascist state being legitimate ... it's another to start completely apologizing for it and pretending like the EF's actions are even comparable afterward. More of Japan's weird projections. In the end, I'm starting to prefer the AUs because of this.

Okay, whoa whoa hold up, /m/.
I recently got into Gundam, and a thought just occurred to me: If a colony is about 36 km long, how does a colony drop not fuck the Earth to high hell? In comparison, the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs was only about 6 km long.
I'm willing to suspend my disbelief on the giant robots and newtype fuckery, but an object as large as a colony hitting the earth and not causing a total gaian collapse? That's bullshit.

Why does Megaman feel like it was written in the '60s or '70's? I can't really put my finger on it, but compared to games of the time, the setting/feel of the original really comes across as something like a video game adaption of an Ishinomori or Uncle Go work.
