These guys are going to bog you down with a lot of dense literature and required readings for required readings for books you "Don't get" until the fifth time through. For reading high, only either read poetry or read something you've read before.

Do not read anything new, it's boring when you realize halfway through a page you've forgotten everything in there

But when you read for prose or for poetry when high, it's an amazing experience desu. If you're going to reread a novel, don't read for plot, read for prose, for the use of language, and for imagery.
