So how much of the exclusion zone is actually safe to walk through? How much time and distance could you REALLY get away with if you avoided concentrated pockets of radiation? Is it a mysterious wasteland or just a town liable to kill you without you even knowing until it's too late?
>>27795927
You're more likely to get pegged in the chest by a border guard. They really don't like trespassers in the zone.
Perfectry safe, so long as you do not eat or drink anything from there.
>>27795949
Why? There's nothing there to care about.
Why do people join the military to do stuff that isnt a combat MOS? You can be a cook in the civilian world, or drive a truck, or man a nuclear reactor so why join the military to do that? On top of that why does it seem like those people are the most proud of their "service"?
>fucking POGs
why do people get drunk off listerine
>>27795870
Why is it that 11bs and 0311s have to justify having such a shitty career in peacetime?
>If you join the military and don't get treated like a 5 year old your entire career and ruin your knees and back by your 25th birthday, you ain't shit!
>>27795892
>get to experience something you can only do in the military in a combat MOS
>picking some civilian style shit
Literally joining, going in and getting a deployment (as a combat MOS) and getting out is the only thing that makes sense. Why else waste the fucking time?
Let's get a blaster thread going. No, not a "blaster control" RP thread, but a serious discussion about if these were real weapon designs. Let's start off with the DL-44. Where would the magazine/gas container go? And while the right-set scope makes for a better draw, it also makes using the damn scope impractical. I always just assumed it had some lock-to-side function kind of like a high tech magnifier that locked to either the top or left when unholstered.
Greedo shot first.
>>27795855
GREEDO DINDU NUFFIN WRONG HE WUZ A GOOD RODIAN
Star Wars is hella ghey.
/k/unts, long-story-short I need a full sized .45
I wouldn't mind a 1911, but not practical for my needs.Glocks are ok, but not my thing.
Been thinking about the Jericho 941, but I don't know anything about them? Any one here have some experience? Pros, cons?
Thanks
Great gun, just no aftermarket support. Zahal.org has two holsters for it. Set it up with meprolight night sights and a DPM recoil system. Not that the recoil was bad, the slide would just bottom out and hit the frame and I didn't like it. Otherwise, I live in fucking jersey, so I ain't carrying it anywhere. Happy with it, but I'm also used to the slide safety due to M9 training.
consider your options
>>27795824
It will be hard to find a 941 in a .45. Dont buy IWI junk. Get a double stack 1911 or an HK.
hello
Let's have a thread where we present newly acquired weapons of mass destruction.
Here is mine:
>$170 psa blem lower with magpul furniture
>$360 upper with 1:7 416r SS barrell and vortex spitfire (one package deal)
>$70 for premium m16 bcg
>$30 for extended latch handle
>$20 in shipping (bought lower and upper separately)
>$660 total (with an optic that costs $300 by itself)
How did i do /K/? This is bb first AR. Be gentle.
Post your stuff
>>27795765
Is this one of your first posts on /k/?
Just curious.
Anyways, the newest thing I got was a Bulgy mak. About a month ago.
>>27795803
No i posted before. Been lurking for a long time. Nice mak. Is it AIM?
>>27795765
No one has ever paid $300 for a Spitfire.
The non-matching furniture/mag and stainless barrel are making my autism twitch, but overall nice rifle, man. Congrats.
Here's my newest AR, complete with some weebshit to make people upset.
Not really new since I got it a couple months back, but it's my most recent anyway.
I noticed a distinct lack of threads dedicated to /k/-related mongolian cave paintings. This is a sorry and quite frankly unacceptable state of events. In light of this, /ak/ thread?
Also, is Full Metal Panic any good?
Best team.
Worst tank.
>>27795742
It's almost as bad as some of the shit Italy fielded.
>>27795695
Bumping.
Is a Czechpoint VZ 58 worth buying over a Century VZ2008?
>>27795679
Not really, they were best bought in 2008 when they were worth about $600. At this point, just get the vz. 2008 if you can find one under $500 with all the accessories.
>>27795679
>Is a Czechpoint VZ 58 worth buying over a Century VZ2008?
To me it is and still would be. I know the real deal is a lot nicer all around, having handled both, and owning a vz58 long before vz2008s existed.
I'm a buy once cry once guy. I buy what I want in the first place. I'd much rather wait till I can afford the better one, so long as we're not talking years.
They're both going to serve you well(at least once you remove the slant brake from the 2008), but you'll never know the full quality of a vz58 with a vz2008, it's sandpaper action, and "just ok" fit and finish.
>>27795701
What he said.
My chiappa little badger in .22lr. I've got it folding down to 7 inches across with the bottom rail removed, 16.5 inches long.
50 feet of paracord wrapping the stock, trs-25 red dot, stock rear sight removed just because it's shit, front will be off soon when I get around to looking at how to remove it without wrecking it.
>>27795649
Full length with xbox controller for comprehension of how small it really is
>>27795698
Thats mighty neat
>>27796133
yeah i'm jealous.
Is it just me, or does the Milwaukee sheriff have more than a passing resemblance to Sheriff Bart from Blazing Saddles?

>>27795539
The resemblance is undeniable.
Yeah but where all the white women at

>All black guys look alike
Hey /k/
Let's say you wanted to make pic related
What material would you use for the shell?
>>27795400
Ninentendium
hello OP i'm darpa
have you tried graphene yet because we're having a heck of a time
>>27795404
Faggot. Nintendium is weaker than Sonium or Micronium which are both far better for standard versions. I hear P. Cronium is the best for personal modification. Can't go wrong with either of the 3. Personal preference at that point, really. Though Micronium has been known to have a higher chance of halting progressing and making you revert a few steps. But usually once you polish another area and come back to it it's fine again. Hope I helped. Good luck OP.
Now that the dust has settled, can we all agree that Glock got it right the first time around and the 43 is just a shittier version of the 42?
>9mm kurz (manlet)
Your buyers remorse is showing.
>>27795327
>muh stoppin' powah
Honest question from someone who rather likes Glocks: how is it that Glock managed to make some of the most size-efficient per round full-sized handguns, yet when it came time to make a single stack its guns are comparatively huge?
I mean the 42 is too big for front pocket carry--so I don't know why you'd buy it, that's the whole point of having a .380.
The 43 goes a step further down this path and is the same size as its competitors but holds a full round less than they do. A Shield or XDs gives you +17% capacity for the same size gun!
What gives?
Hey, any Finnbros online? I've just settled a contract for working in Iso Syote for the upcoming winter. What sort of fun with fun things can a foreigner have in Finland, and is there any paperwork etc. that needs filling out beforehand?
>>27795226
Finn-fag here. You can go to open ranges with your buddies that own guns, as long as they take the responsibility and watch the show.
The paid indoor ranges / shooting clubs pretty much just require you to pay a fee, and you get to blast with their guns.
If you start practicing some actual gun sport, like the Practical (3 gun), Reservist shooting, etc, you usually need to pay the membership fee, and you get to use the team's / club's firearms. You can apply for your own semi-autos for sport use after 2 years of active, proven membership. Funnily enough, semiauto hunting weapons (that can include AKs and ARs), are faster to acquire and may be used in sports too.
>>27795226
You have to figure out if there are ranges near the place and then figure out if they have rental guns. If they don't, you're going to need some finn hasguns to bring you along.
You could try asking ylilauta/jorma whether there are any ranges around there. Sometimes they don't even have a website.
>>27795633
Um Finn friend. Do they sell civ version of rk95 in your local fun store?

This ends the firearm debate.
>>27795170
It's a pepperball gun, then?

Finally had enough scratch to get an AR /k/ommandos. A Ruger, quad rail, Explore 4X32mm CONE GEN 2, and a bipod/foregrip for $823 after tax. So how did I do? Decent, or did I jump the gun a little?
Specs here: http://www.ruger.com/products/ar556/specSheets/8500.html
Ignore the pricing info, that's gotta be some bullshit:
http://www.exploreoptics.com/docs/2scopes13.pdf
>>27795114
Could've built one with higher quality important parts for ~$1000, but /k/ would chastise you for not buying a $1500 DD that doesn't shoot any better. Only parts that affect the function of an AR are the barrel, upper receiver, bcg, and buffer assembly. Rest is preference.
You did good /k/omrade. You did good.
You dun goofed, all a bunch of 2nd rate shit parts
Are there any Airforce JTACs on here? a few questions.
1. Are there JTAC officers? If so, can you apply and go to OCS with a shot at becoming a JTAC written in your contract?
2. What is the difference between a JTACs and TACP and Combat Controllers job? Forgive me for my ignorance, but it all seems so similar.
3. How does someone that is a JTAC join the SOF JTAC units that are part of 24th STS?
thanks for the responses. Bumping with Airforce operator photos
