Tactical Pens.

My girlfriend lives in an area where she cannot have a knife, gun, pepper spray, taser, or really anything to defend herself with.

I'm thinking a tactical pen could be a good improvised weapon to stun an attacker in order to run away.

What are your experiences with tactical pens? Which would you recommend? Glass breaker is a plus.

Ok /k/. Let's have a discussion on use of lethal force. We all know there are situations that are 100% justified like armed robbery, home invasions, assault with a deadly weapon. But let's discuss uses of force that arn't quote clear.

Feel free to post questions, stories, advice, ect...

Here's a questionable one I've thought about, mostly because it's a situation I've been in unarmed, and it's common in places I frequent.

>"HEY! What the fuck are you doing with her?!"

>he gets aggressive
>"like hell man, you don't know her. She said she wanted me to take care of her"
>guy gets confrontational and shoves you

Now. With just that information was the shooting justified? You knew her, but she had been flirty. You were supposed to watch her but she's barely conscious and a stranger was taking her. Maybe he was getting her help. Maybe he drugged her. He reached for something and you shot him. Was it justified? What if the thing he pulled out was a phone? What if he knows her too?

I'm going to the range next week to test out as many guns as I possibly can and take comprehensive notes. I need advice on things to feel for like recoil and trigger break (I'm not even sure I know what that means).

I'm going to stick to a full sized 9mm for now since I cant ccw in my county (commiefornia). I've made this excel sheet to compare the most popular models for a variety of categories. I don't understand this google docs thing, but the hard copy lets you sort by price, name, barrel length, etc. with just a click.

Took advice about slowly squeezing the trigger.
Also follow through and leaving finger on trigger for reset.
I guess I'm jerking and holding the gun too hard now, according to the wheel?

how do yall think a political science degree would do? I have half of it done and then switched to mechanical engineering because my father wanted me to do that. Now im in limbo and I honestly dont think I will be happy with engineering, not that im doing bad but its... idk not what I thought it would be. What I orignally wanted to do was work for the fbi , cia or atf and try to be a field agent, but before I wanted to go into the military. Any suggestions? Any opinions on any of this? What branch of the military should I join? How hard is it to be a special agent with the fbi or cia or atf? Is a political science degree okay for this?

Hey /k/, not really a newguns here but I recently became much more interested in shooting as a hobby. I'm looking for suggestions on what to get next.

So far I have an old youth sized .22lr bolt action (haven't used it in ages), a Benelli super Nova 12ga., and my most recent acquisition, a Glock 19.

So what do I get to round off my collection /k/? I also have little experience with going innawoods but I want weapons that could fill that sort of camping/exploring niche. I prefer durable easy to maintain weapons.

Also, a good knife. Ka-bars seem interesting.

I know there are many who have served in America's armed forces on this board. I picked up a patch like pic related yesterday because I thought it looked really cool and because sc/out/

I was wondering if it would be offensive to sew such a patch on a hat, considering neither I nor any of my family members have ever been scout snipers. I realize any patch has some meaning to people but I was wondering if this was as innocuous as it seems.

I've been having real troubles with someone I live with (stole a very expensive watch, pretty sure tried to poison my Malinois, etc.) and need to fuck with them without them knowing who did it. Ideally I would fuck up their car or do something that will just make their life suck.

He has wronged many people in the past and we live with 5 other guys so I have a lot of ways to craft plausible deniability.

A single Tu-95 appears over the arctic circle. The bomber flies over the North Pole and it is coming down toward the United states, through Canada. All other Russian activity appears normal. The Bear will not respond to any attempts to communicate with it. The President calls Putin and asks what is going on. Putin only responds that he is not aware of any such bomber. How long will US/Canada wait to shoot it down?
