Squat and hold your gun over your head when firing.
>In Iraq now.
You went to Iraq without even knowing what money they use? Nice one Boy Scout
>>28332686
No
I know what they use in Iraq and Syria. I am wondering if USD work in Syria or if I need to change too some Syrian pound before I leave.
So for Christmas my Grandpa (Grandma's husband, not blood) gave out a bunch of these Henry .22's to the men in the family. It was a gun or money, and even though I'm poor...I took the gun.
So no big deal, except he kept talking about how they're "100 year old guns", and "collector items". All the idiots on his side of the family just bought into it, and were talking about how they didn't know if they even wanted to shoot it cause its so valuable.
Now, I didn't say anything because dude is half senile, and I didn't want to shatter his reality, but where the hell did he even get the idea they were so valuable? It says right on the box Condition: New.
He got ten of the things, all NIB at a local outdoors store, and I'm wondering if they didn't feed him a line of bullshit to sell some guns.
Should I have said something? I almost feel bad, but they've got plenty of money to waste on dumb decisions. In any case I got a free Henry, and decided to give it to my 5yo for his first gun.
>>28332497
He's probably trying to swindle you guys into thinking he paid big bucks for them cause he wants you to think he's a great grandpa and shit, if they did rip him off i dont think it was for thousands or even hundreds or he wouldn't have bought so many
>>28332497
they meant the design goes back 100 years, which it does, and probably obscured the truth when he misconstrued what they meant. but damn, 10 of them? a good $2000-3000 right there. Personally I wouldn't rain on his parade. He probably thinks he did everyone a solid and it's still a nice gift at the end of the day.
>>28332497
>Should I have said something?
Nah, maybe they told him the design was over 100 years old and he just messed it up.
>All the idiots on his side of the family just bought into it, and were talking about how they didn't know if they even wanted to shoot it cause its so valuable.
I would tell these chucklefucks that they're not collectors items. Make sure to let them know they're illiterate as well.
Why did the USAF stop camoing their aircraft?
Flat grey is so boring.
Beancounters
Because there's no chance of them being attacked on the ground by Soviet air forces in West Germany anymore
>>28332363
They where originally trained to do low level bombing in Europe during the cold war.
After that ended tactics changed to mostly medium level bombing to avoid ground based low tech AA (23mm guns and MANPADS) in the middle east.
This rendered woodland camo on aircraft pretty useless.
Now give me an A-10 in multicam
Greetings, fellow /k/omrades!
I'm going to the local shooting range soon, for the very first time.
I never thought it's possible in this country, but it is. Year long dreams are suddenly becoming reality.
AMA, test me if I'm fit for my very first time at a shooting range!

Try your luck at English again friend. No one knows what this thread is supposed to be about. Are you asking something? Making a statement? What?
>>28332172
I think he's asking why there aren't more side-pivoting breechblock shotguns
it is kind of cool
>>28332186
I've been saying it for some time now. With a few adjustments, a modern take on this weapon would be the fastest sporting shotgun to grace the market...
Can a gun be traced to a crime using balistic test and comparisons? Like can a gun leave a specific mark on casings and bullets similar to say how humans leave fingerprints?
>>28332011
you're looking for something called microstamping. california is the only state that requires it on handguns to be approved for their safe handgun roster which is a list of handguns californians are allowed to buy new. to date, not a single handgun has been added to the roster because of microstamping. not a single company has implemented it.
>>28332035
So all that New Detective stuff about matching fired bullet casings and bullets to specific guns is bullshit?
>>28332011
The Maryland State Police formerly did a 'ballistic fingerprinting' from every legally purchased Handgun in MD, by firing 2 shots into something and recording it.
It helped to solve zero crimes.
MAIN POINT OF SELLING BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN PISTOL IS EXTREME PRICE OF WEAPON AND CARTRIDGE.
BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN IS WEAPON OF MAN WHO WEARS EXPENSIVE ITALIAN FASCIST SUIT OF HAND SEWING, DRIVE HUGE EXPENSIVE NAZI MERCEDES OF A.M.G. SHOP, SAIL ON MASSIVE YACHT TO GREEK ISLANDS. I THINK YOU GET PICTURE. BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN IS WEAPON THAT SAYS IS NO SO SUCH THING AS CONCERN OF MONEY.
FOR MAN WITHOUT EXPENSIVE SUIT, BIG BLACK MERCEDES, AND MASSIVE YACHT, BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN IS FOR PRETENDING OF BE RICH LIKE BLACK GANGSTER OF AMERICAN CITY WITH GOLD CHAINS OF LOW QUALITY AND JEWELS OF COLORED GLASS. WHEN YOU EXPLAIN USE OF BELGIAN FIVE SEVEN PISTOL IS ONLY FOR SHOOT MAN WITH BULLET VEST WITH CARTRIDGE ILLEGAL TO CIVILIAN, THIS MAN HAS NUCLEAR RAGE. WHOLE IDENTITY OF THIS MAN SPENT IN PRETEND PISTOL SHOWS HE IS RICH. IS VERY AMUSE.
FOR REST OF WORLD THERE IS 9 MILLIMETERS OF LUGER WHICH IS SAME WOUND FOR LESS COST.
Federal 5.7 ammo costs about $.30/r

A new material is invented which has the thickness and weight of full plate armour, except that it's entirely bullet proof except to the most high powered rifles. Soon nations are equipping their soldiers in this full plate armour.
How does warfare change?

Soon nations are equipping their soldiers with high powered rifles.
We squish them
Soon countries start investing more money in the Air Force and long range artillery capabilities.

The worst are the people from Warthunder Forums, absolute pretentious think-they-know-it-all cunts.

So, this new AWB legislation... It's bad, very very bad, and hopefully doesn't have a chance in hell of going anywhere (even still, write/call your representatives).
Let's say that it would likely pass, but you could use it as a bargaining chip of sorts: what kind of legislation would you want to see tacked on to pass if we have to take this one as it is. If we're "compromising", we should get something out of it.
I'd say I'll go along with every part of this bill (an arsenal of mini-14's and shotguns is still an arsenal), as long as we get the following:
1) Full stop on the war on drugs, decriminalization of all narcotics and funding goes to treatment instead of imprisonment.
2) Minimum 1-year moratorium on all immigration. Any and all funding goes to getting homeless Americans off the streets. Why take on refugees when we can't find homes for our own veterans? Besides, doesn't the government own a shitload of foreclosed homes that are just sitting there thanks to the financial collapse? Let's put some of that to use.
3) Incentivize businesses to create more jobs in America and unfuck our economy. I don't know how, I'm not that smart, but get it done.
4) Immediate stop to all unwarranted domestic spying. Repeal CISA and related parts of Patriot Act, et al.
5) Net Neutrality is law of the land. No option for repeal.
6) Repeal the ACA/Obamacare and implement a true single-payer healthcare system. The current system is nothing more than a moneymaking scheme for private insurance companies that already had a stranglehold on our system. Getting a locked-in customer base helps no one and does nothing to encourage competition. We tried the capitalist way and it sucked. Let's join "the rest of the civilized world" (like we're supposedly doing with these shit gun laws) and see how that goes.
What do you guys think?
>inb4 /pol/. Move it if you have to, but seriously fuck that place.
This is literally /pol/: the post.
So yes, take it to /pol/.
The only thing I would add to the bill is "DON'T TREAD ON ME" written all over it.
NO, FUCK OFF! NO FUCKING COMPRIMISE!

Pretty sure this one is a dude.
I'm not sure if I'm coming to the right place for this topic, but I figure when it comes to a blade, others here would know far more than I do.
I'm looking to replace an old whittling knife and was curious as to what I should invest in. I'm not looking for very detailed work, just a hobby to pass the time, and had a couple others direct me to an Opinel No.7. I'm trying to find a smaller, folding knife rather than a fixed blade, but other than that I have no other requirements. Thoughts on this blade, or any recommendations for others?

Anything from Buck will be good
Kershaw is also good quality for the price, but I think they look kinda faggy
If you are willing to spend some money, both Benchmade and Case make very nice small folders, Case will give you big points with fudds too
>>28330908
opinels are cheap, lightweight, and well made for the price, but I'd personally prefer something like a Buck 110 or one of their smaller lockbacks for woodwork
https://www.reddit.com/r/knives/comments/1d12bz/lets_talk_about_value_heres_a_list_of_best_bang/ will give you some ideas (tw: reddit)
Also, lots of guys like Mora fixed blades for carving; they're cheap, durable, sharp out of the box, and not too hard to sharpen. See http://www.ragweedforge.com/SwedishKnifeCatalog.html
Alright /k/, i'm looking to get a .45 glock but I can't decide between a glock 41 and a glock 21.
