I'm going to buy my first gun soon (parents finally going to let me) on my 21st birthday, So far I like the fnx 45 (more ammo than the 1911 and same bullet) but I want to know how it handles in CC
>>28323455
>fullsize
>double-stack .45
>cc
>>28323482
>more bullets is bad
Also I got big hands so the size isn't a problem unless it fucks up cc
rent it and shoot it
So what does /k/ think of the Italian Military? Are they any good (do they even do anything)? And how good are their guns, planes, and tanks?
It's all pretty good stuff. They have a very solid domestic arms industry, Finmeccanica, Oto Melara, Iveco, Beretta, Fincantieri, etc, which produces some of the best hardware in the world that their own forces benefit from.
let's just say there's been some stories about the italian military in iraq/afghanistan. they were not good stories.
they might have decent hardware but the people? yeah...

If you have an ND, should you call the cops afterwards? If so, can they charge you with anything?
>>28309071

/k/ is it possible to curve bullets like in the movie wanted?
A friend of a friend was very adamant that it's impossible. He was almost aggressive in asserting that it's stupid impossible hollywood BS and no one should ever try it.
is he right? or is it theoretically possible at all?
pic unrelated
>>28328627
everything is theoretically possible. The mythbusters episode on it they tried pretty fucking hard with no success
No you retard
>>28328627
>/k/ is it possible to curve bullets like in the movie wanted?
No.
Despite Mike, are there any other operators with bad vision or is it movie fiction?
It seems to be extremly unpractical to be dependend on your prescribed eyeglasses during action
>implying places that hire operators can afford to be so picky as to rule out people who can operate but have bad but correctable eye sight off hand
>>28327845
doesnt even have proper TD
Im going to be the first to ask: what show?
how much would it cost to build kit like pic related?
>>28327834
like or exactly the same? like and you can cut a lot of corners with cheaper manufacturers or get airsoft equivalents (helmet, pants, jacket from truspec, propper, rothco, etc). exact and it'll cost you a lot.
>>28327834
with or without rifle, anpeq, ballistic helmet, or anything real
$6 million dollars and at least 8 years.
Much less for just the gear.
So i picked up a box of 5.56x45 nato rounds for my father in laws new ar. Im new to rifles as i only go shotguns and sidearms yet when i had a lookie in the box at them i noticed the brass looked worn and small scratches could be seen. I also noticed discoloration. So is this just part of the process of making ar food?
And what gives with the green tips?
The green tips let you shoot through schools.
>green tips
isn't that the AR55 thing that had a shitstorm last year or something
>>28327547
Thank you for shopping at Dick's Sporting Goods. The green tips are bimetal steel jacketed, considered light armor piercing. Your local range may not let you shoot them, as they tend to be hard on backstops and target frames.
why do some Russian forces deploy shields like these? Why not have a larger one that covers more of the point-man's body? Are Russians the only ones who use this short of a shield?
>>28327172
They do. Look at their feet. It's snow. You want to lug around a 5 feet tall shield in that environment?
Think about the mobility of something like that vs a full size riot shield.
Also looks more like a buckler rather than ballistic shield
>>28327172
because russians are fucking retarded and think the red dot on the shield attracts fire
While I'm glad for reinforcement of 2A rights, is anyone else not looking forward to open carry?
>pic somewhat related
>recent "carry" acquisition
>>28327126
>looking forward to

Fuck yes, im in massachusetts ive gotten a "License to Carry" but even though its not illegal to open carry if someone calls the cops on you, you can loose your license.

SOMETIMES I GIVE MYSELF THE CREEPS
I feel pretty bad. What's the sketchiest seller you or a family member as came across? Have you ever scammed a buyer, even in the slightest?
>Be this Christmas.
>Not really big on the gift giving because 19, just not excited anymore. Still appreciate everything. Just no more childhood wonder.
>Recently got my second Mosin Nagant because I have a PU scope coming in the mail, gonna mount that baby fuck yeah but beside the point.
>Dad who's not as much into guns as I am but still knows more than enough gives me a gift from him.
>Small box but hefty for it's size.
>No idea it'd be ammo because I've never gotten anything firearm related as a gift before.
>Open it, it's 8mm ammo
>Puzzled look, but I appreciate it anyways. Assume he thought my Mosin was 8mm. Still skeptical because dad is way too smart to make a mistake like this.
>Keeps asking me "That's the right ammo for you Mosin, right?"
>At this point I know he's fucking with me.
>A few more presents go by. Then brings out this long box.
>Oh shit. This fucker went above and beyond.
>Open it, it's a sporterized Mauser mod98
>Don't like sporters but that's not the point. It's a rifle from my pops, and for a sporter it doesn't look too bad. 80's style stock, can tell barrel is a different style. The only thing original on it is the bolt assembly, receiver (No import marks which is cool), trigger and plate.
Here's the kicker, this is where I feel like shit.
>"I got a great deal on it. The guy told me it's all original, and sold it to me for $325. He even wen't down $175 on it."
>Oh no dadd-io
>This fucker from a few towns over scammed my dad. Told him it was all original, sold him sporter shit.
>Feel bad because dad knew I've been wanting a wartime Mauser for like a year and a half. Knows I love WW2 bolt actions, and just wanted to do a great thing for his son. It's one of the only things we really bond over.
>It's the thought that counts though, and that won't be tarnished. It'll be a neat project restoring it.
Ungrateful little shit. Wish i had a kid like you so I could bust your ass and give your presents to the poor kids you go to school with
>>28326644
did you actually read what OP posted or are you just being retarded
I'd keep it like that, it doesn't look bad judging from the picture.
So I found this in my grandmother attic. Sharing picture. What does /k/ have!
>>28326534
Pretty sure your grandma was a Nazi.
Or at least screwing one.
>>28326534

That is a french soldiers medal panel from WWI
How would mike vining handle chris kyle in a fight?
>>28326255
Blow up his car before he gets there
There would be no fight and Chris Kyle would claim he fought Vining and won.
Silently and we would never heard a word of it.
