The wiki shows a bag of gravel but that's just for beginners. Masters can punch steel full force without breaking bone. Because that's what you eventually build up to, punching a block of steel as training.

I'm not sure if you can do the same with your skin... but anything is possible.

Try working the lever of a lever action while prone. That's partially why. Lever actions are also more complex which equates to less reliable.
