not a movie but still one of the sloppiest and funniest whacks ever
Hey there /k/.
I'm a normal homeowner, and don't really frequent this board often. I believe in home defense, and luckily so does the state I live in.
Texas introduced a law some time ago that presumes deadly force used within your home was justified, which is great. But outlying property such as your front lawn is not covered under this presumption.
I was watching this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP7k08Ytdq4
And I realized that Bear Mace might be the solution.
It's not deadly, but would almost certainly stop multiple trespassers instantly.
So I just wanted to ask if /k/ could tell me what they thought about the stuff, is there a certain brand that is more reliable, etc.
Thanks in advance, oh and the vid is hilarious and worth watching even if you don't care about my question.
A can of wasp killer; the kind that shoots a stream 20 feet. Probably a lot cheaper than bear spray.
Are Electrolaser's right now still just massive things that'll never get scaled down to handgun sized? The concept sounds great compared to darted tasers if the lasers can be fired in a grid to cover a wide area, though it sounds rife for abuse by police/criminals/trolls.
Mace is what all the white trash use to mug people where I live. It's pretty debilitating. So yeah, some bear spray would be a good idea.
I wanna buy a gun.
What do you recommend?

If I was looking for a gun I'd get one of these bad boys.
Hot stuff brah.
Has anyone in the enlisted corps actually gone on to do something of value? Especially non-SOF.
The officer corps is filled with success stories after they move on from the military. But the enlisted corps is filled with nothing but walking 11pm news stories, extremists, trailer park residents/hoodrats, and at best middle management.
Why is this? Is it a personnel quality issue? Any nation is fine.
Friend of mine was a 15W in the Army. UAV operator. He's now a contractor doing the same thing. He cleared $200k last year.

I'm serious.

Really? Who does he fly UAV's for?
How much shorter can service rifles get? Everybody is shifting towards using either bullpups or SBRs, and Israel is even taking it a step further by adopting a bullpup SBR as their standard rifle.
>>28388894
there was talk about armies switching to rpg's or similar airburst weapons due to urban warfare becoming more and more prominent, and service rifles becoming secondary weapons to protect rocketeers.
If that holds, we would see mp7 like things as sidearms, or maybe as underbarrels for grenade launchers
>>28388894
Israel is actually lengthening the X-95.
>>28388996
To how long? 15 inch barrel?
Does the Thunderchief deserve its bad reputation?
>>28388716
Nah. It just came in at a transition period where there were little tactics to deal with SAMs. At its role as a bomber it actually did quite well and excelled at what it was made for.
>>28388716
It was designed to carry a single nuclear bomb in an internal payload. Its a cool idea.
I wasn't aware it had a bad reputation, since the museum where I saw one had an old pilot who was pretty fond of the craft.
>>28388748
This sounds about right judging by the years of service.
Alright, I know this is a longshot, but I'm calling on the ghost of Meplat for some help.
I'm currently at a gun auction and have stumbled over what appears to be a old wells fargo shotgun.
All of these markings are on a Winchester 1887. We all know what that looks like. I've taken photos of any markings I could see on the shotgun instead.
Does anyone know anything about these, and if so, is this a fake? I need to know, as I intend on purchasing it very soon.
Dumping 4 pics.
Brass stamp on the grip area of the gun. I have higher resolution pictures it that helps anyone.

Anyone have a link to that site that had pics from when a guy went deer hunting with a civil war cannon full of grape shot?
>>28388518
Pretty sure it's going to end up legally a punt gun
Alright /k/ommandos, I've been thinking about getting an AR-15. At first I thought building one would be the way to go. However, I've heard that the price gap between personal builds and factory builds has closed up quite a bit as of late. Buying a factory ready gun seems like the way to go for me. Question is, what is the best AR-15 on the market for the money?
Any left over money I have will go twards ammo and accessories.
My maximum price would be $1000 because the laws here in commiefornia add an extra $250 to that.
>>28388280
Please understand my maximum price isn't my ideal price, the lower the better.
Ruger AR-556 and S&W M&P Sport 2 AR both good entry level ARs
Both have dust cover/FA, only difference is Ruger is 1:8 twist and flat top, S&W is 1:7 and has front iron sight
>>28388303
Ruger starts as low as 600, S&W as low as 700
How do soldiers cope with the fact that they are for their officers and generals
what a peasant is for me in age of empires
Like you can die in a battle while your general is in a hotel with champan
don't they ever feel like slaves?
I get paid, fairly well at that, to let them do the thinking and take the fall for when shit doesn't work because they fucked up. It's like a regular job except I get paid to shoot guns.
>>28388252
Soldiers keep each other alive. At the end of the day, if the unit works cohesively, they'll get through alive and get paid, and that's all that matters to the enlisted man.
>>28388252
How do you cope with it?
You just do, it's part of the job.
The real question you want to ask is what makes people enlist in the first place.
And that question is so vague, that you shouldn't spend your time wondering about it.
You must pick one rifle and one sidearm
Which do you choose?
something not autistic
SIG P320
FN FAL

MX4 and Recon, since one sorta looks like a Scar and I have no idea what these guns are BUT I'm an American.

OK /k/, SAA or S&W Schofield?
Neither of those are used by Special Forces.
>>28387811
only one of those is the gun that won the west.
The prettiest one, obviously.
So the Schofield.
Which bolt action rifle is your favorite, /k/?
Is there any particular rifle that you can say is better than it's contemporaries?
>>28387596
.30-40 Krag carbine
As a battle rifle, it was mostly outclassed by Mausers. But, they shoot very well and have a fine craftsmanship to them. It's an excellent deer gun for Western forrests, especially if you choose to hunt with irons.

>>28387596
I really like the m39.
It has all the fun of the Mosin, with actually quality put into it. I'm convinced it's better than the k98, or its other bolt action contemporaries.
>>28387628
Wow thats a handsome rifle.
I'm currently shopping for a other one so maybe I'll spy one of those
