What were the Marines thinking?
Using an assault rifle in an LMG role?
How are you supposed to suppress shit with only 30 rounds?
Am I missing something is this what Marines usually do?
This is now a /k/ from 2010 thread
Did you hear they're going to start putting that Home Depot shelving hardware on guns? Incredible! Boy I sure do love my Troy Alpha rail! I wonder if Magpul is gonna make an AK mag! Imagine how great it'll be
>>29511202
It's not an M249, it's a traditional SAW much like the RPK.
It suppresses using more accurate bursts and is much more portable. These automatic rifles work in conjunction with an LMG; the LMG sets a base of fire while a maneuvering team flanks, within that team is an automatic rifle which functions as a rifle but also can be used to set up a smaller base of fire.
Just the Muhreen Corpse getting around acquisition rules by making up a new role.
>/k/ suddenly hates the leopard 2
What happened?
>>29511067
you started thinking /k/ was one person you fucking dolt
I like the Leopard 2 :(
>>29511067
i love leo2.
It's impossible to judge the modern MBT's capabilities since they're all super secret and have not had anything to face them that would prove them in combat.
They're all reliable, comfortable, safe and powerful.
But leo2 is the most beautiful. That turret overhang
You don't seriously still shoot brass cased ammunition, do you? Polymer cases are the future.
brass get the ass
>>29511003
Brass is more conducive to accuracy. However, if/when polymer cases become an actual thing, they won't look like that. They'll like like a rimless .410 shell.
>>29511016
Nah, they're going to start using polymer cases in conventional shapes in order to cut weight until the LSAT stuff gets formally adopted.
So what CH placement is the best /k/?
>>29511000
Ambi. Left side is nice too, but on guns where it reciprocates the additional slot in the receiver cover is just one more place to get dirt.
>>29511000
Probably either an FAL or G3
Probably on the left for me so i can keep my right hand on the pistol grip
How do I survive boot camp? I'm kind of a Pvt. Pyle type of dude.
Any tips for getting this over with as painlessly as possible?
Also, would it be possible to become a combat medic or something like that even though I'm a conscript? I have no problem with blood and gore and I kind of want to help people not die.

Napalm Sticks to Kids has that effect too. Quite entertaining.
Always been fascinated by the War on Drugs, both in the US and around the world. Post your best pics.

The Colombian Army lays siege to the Palace of Justice in Bogota on November 6th 1985. The Palace had been taken over by M-19 guerillas, possibly in league with senior cartel members. The operation left 19 Colombian Supreme Court Justices and 48 Colombian soldiers dead. 35 M-19 members died in the operation, with at least 7 disappeared afterwards by the Army.

SBS INSIGHT Guns episode aired on Wednesday 8:30pmAEST. Panel stacked like pallets and nothing but a feel train as expected.
COAG style meeting happening in NZ next week with guns being the issue, Minister Keaton has stated the federal government will NOT be looking to change firearm laws, but the state governments (the ones who matter) are still undecided and are attending the above mentioned COAG meeting.
Reminder for Westfags to get your additional applications in asap. Licensing is changing over to a new system coming into affect on the 29th of April, the switchover starts on the 18th and no licenses will be processed until the 29th.
If any lurking no-guns need help understanding how to get a license, ask away and we'll help anyway we can

Hey /k/ I found this at a garage sale, apperantly it isn't a real gun the lady told me it was from 1935 and belonged to her father, has a dirty old box and here is the piece taken apart, no firing pin or anything
Is this just a cheap replica type toy or what do I have?

New Zealand lad here. Thinking of getting my firearms license soon. What should I get for my first rifle? SKS? Mosin? I'm kind of a poor fag and can't drop much into a gun.
>>29510336
>SKS
They ain't pretty. Most SKS's available are Norinco/Chicom (very few Russians/Com blocs) and quality isn't great. That said it they are cheap to buy ($300-400nzd) and feed.
My SKS is a 16inch "paratrooper" so for A Cat you won't get a sweet as bayonet and the sights were canted...
>Mosin
Well there were a few around about two years ago but I haven't seen too many about for sale lately.
>M14
My first rifle was a Norinco m305 (M14 clone). Fun to shoot but heavy to carry all day up hills...
>Boltgun
DESU if you really want to shoot something get a boltgun. I got a Howa1500 for xmas and threw a gunworks can on it. Something like this is your best bet for actual hunting etc.
I don't know but can you guys get handguns or revolvers with your licenses in your country?
>>29510534
Yes, but the limitations around their use are quite restrictive.
Oh I forgot to mention;
>>29510469
>SAIGA
You can get a new saiga for around $800nzd. I was gonna do this but bought my bolt gun instead. Had to source a good conversion kit fom the USA to do it justice.

I have a shield but have never played with the clock 43. I like my shield a lot however. It is nice to have a safety that is easier turned off during the draw.

Where is the upvote button on this thing
Hello /k/.
Let's talk archery for noobs.
I'm in the market for a solid, cost-effective (not necessarily cheap. Definitely not cheaply made) recurve or longbow that I can carry with me innawoods.
Do you guys have any recommendations? Good brands? Anything?
I used to shoot arrows in my backyard with a Lil' Sioux when I was a kid. Now I want an adult bow.
>inb4 just gun
I have plenty of those.
Thanks
I've heard good things about the samick sage. Price isn't too bad and you can replace the limbs for different draw weights.
I have a recurve bow in my room that my Grandpa made before he died. I've never strung it up, and I don't even know what kind of bow string I would use. It's also very awkward to grip, and no matter which way I hold it, in either hand it never seems comfortable.

you can make reliable 40-60lb+ bows with this dude's methods, totally legit too
I posted in the other thread, I have a buddy who regularly hunts with a pvc bow and he's scored multiple through and throughs on whitetail
