It's not an M249, it's a traditional SAW much like the RPK.
It suppresses using more accurate bursts and is much more portable. These automatic rifles work in conjunction with an LMG; the LMG sets a base of fire while a maneuvering team flanks, within that team is an automatic rifle which functions as a rifle but also can be used to set up a smaller base of fire.

How do I survive boot camp? I'm kind of a Pvt. Pyle type of dude.
Any tips for getting this over with as painlessly as possible?
Also, would it be possible to become a combat medic or something like that even though I'm a conscript? I have no problem with blood and gore and I kind of want to help people not die.

The Colombian Army lays siege to the Palace of Justice in Bogota on November 6th 1985. The Palace had been taken over by M-19 guerillas, possibly in league with senior cartel members. The operation left 19 Colombian Supreme Court Justices and 48 Colombian soldiers dead. 35 M-19 members died in the operation, with at least 7 disappeared afterwards by the Army.

COAG style meeting happening in NZ next week with guns being the issue, Minister Keaton has stated the federal government will NOT be looking to change firearm laws, but the state governments (the ones who matter) are still undecided and are attending the above mentioned COAG meeting.
Reminder for Westfags to get your additional applications in asap. Licensing is changing over to a new system coming into affect on the 29th of April, the switchover starts on the 18th and no licenses will be processed until the 29th.

They ain't pretty. Most SKS's available are Norinco/Chicom (very few Russians/Com blocs) and quality isn't great. That said it they are cheap to buy ($300-400nzd) and feed.
My SKS is a 16inch "paratrooper" so for A Cat you won't get a sweet as bayonet and the sights were canted...

I'm in the market for a solid, cost-effective (not necessarily cheap. Definitely not cheaply made) recurve or longbow that I can carry with me innawoods.
Do you guys have any recommendations? Good brands? Anything?
I used to shoot arrows in my backyard with a Lil' Sioux when I was a kid. Now I want an adult bow.
