Have whips been weaponized before /k/?
>>29508113
Yeah, in one form or another.
They're not that effective though, or they'd be used more.
>>29508113
No, because if we are talking about the time after guns were invented you would just get shot and before that, turns out, whips are SUPER ineffective agaimst metal armor.
whips belong in the bedroom, along with hand cuffs and batons
I have heard it takes more practice to shoot a Compact as accurately as a Full Size.
Ignoring Sight Radius - What say you /k/?
Is the gun inherently less accurate if smaller?
cool first gen brah
>>29508044
lighter weight guns recoil more too. that plays a factor.
In most cases a compact will be harder to shiot, but not all cases.
The combination of a shorter barrel, shorter sight radius, more felt recoil, and often a less comfortable grip are the reasons.
That being said, some small guns can be shot really accurately, like say a Makarov with a fixed barrel.
Hey /k

Way to needlessly project
Before I get banned, I'm 20 and in college.
So, let's sum up the bizarre series of events. I work on campus, and we have a newsletter each month, with the employee of the month and a student spotlight. Student spotlight is pretty much participation award, and just goes through all the employees.
In mine, I stated that I may join the military after college, which seems increasingly likely.
Well, I didn't realize this, but anyone can sign up to get the newsletter, so my parents friend signed up. She saw it and told them I was on it, and is now sending it to them.
Anyways, for any of you that joined the military, how did it go over with your parents? I mean, I wanted to join in and become an officer, but odds are my GPA will keep me from doing that. So I'm probably going to just enlist in the Army to get that college loan repayment program, plus be able to serve. DESU though I don't want to be infantry because I don't want to possibly die. Yes maybe that makes me a pussy.
Dude who the fuck cares are you not an adult?
How the fuck are you gonna function in the military?
>>29507998
Naw it's not so much, that, I mean, I will do what I want to do. It's just, I wonder how other people told their parents and how they reacted. I love my parents a lot and want them to be happy.
i joined the army and didn't tell my parents till the day I left for basic because of religion. turned out to be the best choice I ever made.
Let me get this straight
>Be burger
>Shotgun too big for close quarters
>Saw off the barrel to make make it easier to handle
>Automatically have to pay a fine of 250.000 dollars and go to jail like if you are some pedo or drug dealer
Just what?
Here people don't even bother with all the gun laws, neither they are enforced, because i live in a third world country.
But i still don't get why the short barreled shotguns are so demonized in america, also today criminals have better firearms than some old shortie shotgun.
But still you are treated like a dangerous criminal just for having a firearm with a barrel 2 inches lower than some arbitrary law, it just doesn't make sense to me.
Can some american bother to explain this nonsense?
>>29507868
>fine of 250 dollars
Nigga what
>>29507868
because in burgerland we elect morons and pathetic she-men to public office.
>>29507881
Yuropoors and South Americans write $250,000.50 as $250.000,50
Welcome to the internet.
should I get a karambit or a straight edged knife for utility and self defense?
also general knife thread
Have you spent the last year, year and a half, training with a Karambit 2-3 times a week? Or are you a South East Asian Farmer? No to both?
Then don't get one.
>>29507728
Just get a gun. If you can't get a gun, then a Fairbarin or a stiletto of some sort.
>>29507728
Get the fox dart.
It has a wave feature.
Also train dumbass. If you want to use it as one.
What is the point of this thing? It has the form factor of an axe at the size of a knife and doesn't look like it does either of those jobs particularly well. Hell, it doesn't even have the "advantage" of looking cool like a Karambit.
Just another piece of metal designed to separate people who don't know better from their money, right?
>>29507721
You can use it to slice people's tendons apart at the lower ankles
What is a throwing axe
It looks like the head is wide and heavy. It probably has a good swing though the length of that handle is questionable
What are you building?
Muscle so I can apply to be a sheriff's deputy.
>>29507659
A really big fucking bomb.
Don't tell the FBI tho.
>>29507673
Since when?
>love handguns, love CCW
>not 21 yet, can't own one in my state
Who else feels this feel?
>>29507617
>be me
>live in Texas
>20 y/o
>own 13 funs, including 3 handgats
>carry in car and at work
>mfw
>>29507617
I'm 19. When I see a handgun I like, I tell my parents about it, and they usually like it too. Then they buy it for themselves and let me shoot it.
>>29507617
I once read the law the wrong way and tried to buy a handgun at 18
Man at the counter asked me how old I was and then just shook his head at me, it was embarassing as fuck desu
Ol' Chuck Schumer is at it again, this time the fucking gun hasn't even come out yet.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/gun-that-looks-like-iphone-draws-senators-ire/
About the gun itself, it looks like it's just a little derringer type gun that has a folding grip, it doesn't seem to be that extraordinary.
>>29507278
that would probably be classified as an AOW like pen guns and the like before it
>>29507278
This gun has been around for years......
it is a sky marshalls backup weapon. Seen one in person many moons ago going thru an airport. Their 10 year secrecy patent/contract has expired and are now going to sell it to the public.
>>29507291
Negative; it has to be opened to be fired.
If it could be fired while looking like a phone it would be an AOW.
It's like a pen gun vs a pen gun that you have to twist and fold into a gun shape. Weird, I know.
You are in charge of the Southern Country, divided along the red line. A few years prior, the South won its independence in a civil war, on account of ethnic nationalism (North was/is a different tribe).
Your overall population is 5 million to the North's 7 million. In general the South is more poorly developed than the North, with one exception: it housed the historic arsenal in the Southwestern hill country.
The North has a standing army of ~70,000 and the South has one of ~55,000 combat troops. However, the hills which divided the plateau of the South served as a good place to set up defensive lines in the civil war.
At the moment, your arsenal consists of a combination of "Lebels" and "Hotchkiss Guns." Your artillery mainly consists of a combination of 1913 105mm cannons and 1913 150mm howitzers. The tank, of a design similar to the FT-17 for knocking out machine gun nests was also developed.
How do you prepare for a war which you expect in the next decade? Plans can be as simple has "camo smocks" or as detailed as showing the creating an actual war plan with brigade movements on the map.
Note map scale is such that each hex has a distance of 6mi/10km between parallel sides.
Genocide the Jewish population in your country and put their money in your coffers
Get something less shitty than Lebels
>>29507532
Eh kinda this.
Also, what autistic game is that OP?
Why, of all calibers, is 22 LR subject to panic buying? If I thought the government were about to take our guns, the last thing I'd be worried about is having enough of a squirrel-hunting/plinking round. Why not hoard a more useful caliber like 308 or 270 or shotgun shells?
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/01/27/midway-usa-one-million-22-rounds-fly-off-our-shelves-in-three-days/
http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2015/11/19/keefe-report-why-can-t-i-find-22-ammo/
Several reasons.
It's generally been cheap plinking ammo, thus cheap to stock in bulk
If shit hit the fan a .22 would be great for small game and light ammo
Pretty much everybody has a .22
>>29506777
22lr shortage was an attack by bloomberg and his chronies. They figured if they could make an artificial shortage, they could raise the price forever, and make it cost more for generations, thereby getting less people interested in shooting.
They pretty much suceeded in driving its baseline price up three-fold.
>no more 4th of July Penny-Shot sales.....
>FUCK anti-gunners.
22 or 308 your still going to duck if it's coming your way. And can carry a bunch more.
Been forever since I posted here. How has /k/ been?
>>29506754
Quiet
>>29506754
Good until you showed up again
>>29506754
Still loving guns
Still hating Howard, Bloomberg and Feinstein
Are these ar's legit? Someone wants to trade one to me for my fnx 45 tac.
I really need to know if these things aren't cursed with bad quality control or proprietary parts.
Pic related. The ar in question.
Bushmaster XM15-E2S AR-15 Patrolman's Carbine w/some upgrades.
>>29506749
Bushmaster makes quality shit.
Despite what some believe my department uses Bushmasters as our patrol rifles and for SWAT/SORT and they have been fantastic and on par with the select fire Colt's.
Many LE agencies use bushmaster.
>>29506785
I forgot my point: Get the bushmaster. Great basic bare bones milspec rifle.
My experience has been stellar despite what some may spout about them
>>29506749
>Pic related. The ar in question
I don't believe you
I only buy certified good weapons from trustworthy companies, so do Century and American Tactical make good and reliable guns? I want to add 7.62x39 to my collection and I don't have much money. Should I just save up more and buy a milsurp AK?
>>29506712
