I would love to see my home state ship as a Kancolle. I always imagined her as the "Most Beautiful" warship in the world. She is tall (an inch or so shorter than Iowa) with a buxom chest (as all Battleships have) and has long wavy black hair and, unlike Iowa, carries a certain lady-like gracefulness to her, similar to Yamato. She also wears a Bowler hat (representing the unique shape of her lookout "crow's nest"). She normally wears a long sleeve onepiece dress that reaches to her ankles. She switches between red, white, and blue dresses daily. But all of them have "55" sewn into the upper right sleeves and an upside-down pentagon shaped patch on left chest with "BB55" marked inside. In battle gear however, her dress shortens to her upper calves for mobility. She also has a CXAM-1 radar sticking out the back of her bowler hat. She also has a small seaplane crane and launcher than hangs off the back of her backpack turret. She's so beautiful that people come from miles around just to try and catch a glimpse of her. As such there's always a crowd following her wherever she goes earning her the nickname "The Showgirl" (a play on her nickname "The Showboat"). When she goes into battle she carries a Spartan like shield around and carries 2 5 inch mount "handheld" dual purpose guns. One in each hand. This gives her immense AA firepower. She is obsessed with protecting her Enterprise Onee-sama and keeping her safe (Akin to how the NC and Enterprise were nearly inseparable during the actual war). She can put up so much AA that she is often mistaken for being on fire do to all the smoke she puts out as a result. Two of her 16" 45 caliber turrets are to her side while her third Turret is warn like a backpack when not in use (Guns pointed up) and swings to either side when it's time for battle (depending on which side the enemy currently is).

I think tank design is starting to plateau, if it hasn't already. I don't expect their current look and function to change at all in the next century. The internals will always improve, engine design, gun and ammo composition, and armor composition as new materials become easier to produce, but their overall look would be completely the same in my opinion. We're starting to focus on the "not getting hit" aspect now that all the other stuff is basically achieved. Devices that destroy incoming projectiles before touching the tank are becoming widespread, and, besides things similar to ERA, that technology is still fairly new.
