What kind of gun is this?
Beretta 92fs
Blue plastic training beretta.
I'm almost positive that's a break barrel air gun above the probably airsoft G36.
AR-15, AR-10, FAMAS, XM8, G36 got them
But I have never seen a single person actually using them as a carry handle.
So what's the point of these? They just seem to add weight
>>29787258
they raise the rise above bore and make it look like shit
pretty tactical desu

they usually protect the rifle's sights, and are convenient for carrying in a pinch, but often aren't. historically rifles used slings, and prior to that were just carried by the stock. during the early 1900s, protecting rifle sights became a thing, and most developed ears. in the 30's and 40's dedicated handles were popular.
as most modern weapons are derived from rifles 50+ years ago, they maintain certain vestigial qualities.
ostensibly, complacent use of a carry handle on a loaded rifle (and most long arms lack drop safeties) and flagging someone has the possibility of an ND.
Hey, /k/
Nogun here, I'm going to go shooting guns for the first time in my life (.22-.32 cal pistols, probably) within a week
I know a little bit about guns, due to some research such as: it's a mag, not a clip, don't point it at things you're not willing to destroy, and the basic operations of a firearm.
Do I need some more preparation going into this?
Are there some things I need to know?
Thanks for sharing your /k/nowledge
>>29787249
Always make sure the chamber is clear.
>>29787249
After removing a mag, pull the slide back and forth to make sure it's clear
Lean into the gun, unlike your gif
If firing rifles, place the stock under the bend in your clavicle
use both ear protection and eye protection
you sound like you're not retarded, so you should be fine. have fun anon

When not firing, I assume?
A fucking USAS 12 was seized in an australian raid....
Welp, looks like it will be melted

ISIS ambushed them and fucking killed them all: http://www.debka.com/article/25391/Italian-British-force-ambushed-by-IS-in-Libya-
ISIS fighters smashed a force of Italian and British Special Ops troops on Wednesday, April 27 in the first battle of its kind in Libya, DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report. This battle will result in the delay of the planned Western invasion of Libya, as the encounter proved that European forces are not ready for this kind of guerilla warfare. The sources also said the planners of the invasion were surprised by the high combat skills of the ISIS fighters.
Our sources report the following details:
The convoy of Italian marines, British special forces and Libyan troops was traveling from the northwestern city of Misrata toward the ISIS stronghold of Sirte, located 273 kilometers to the southeast, when it was ambushed and hit hard by ISIS forces.

Inb4 a bunch of cucks start yapping that the sources are unreliable. They need a day to spin this properly and come up with a narrative.
I love seeing wops and limeys get shown up as much as anyone, but
>The sources also said the planners of the invasion were surprised by the high combat skills of the ISIS fighters
has me thinking embellishment, outright lies, or Russian cosplayers.
>>29786802
I'm more disappointed by what passes as '''''journalism'''''' in this case. I know the Daily Mail has a bad reputation but that was pure fucking bullshit

This is how a teenager would write.
Is it possible to dodge bullets?
>>29786776
No.
Even a "slow" bullet going 600fps will traverse the length of a football field in not much more time than it takes for you to blink, much less get out of the way of it.
>>29786811
That was a quick thread.
.45acp travels slow enough that you can
http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2015/09/18/3703319/trump-concealed-carry/
Donald Trump imagines a world where regular citizens can buy automatic weapons; where gun owners can hide their weapons in any state; where there are no expanded background checks for gun purchases; and where citizens fight crime with their own assault rifles.
If Trump gets his way, which gun would you hope to get first?
MP5 unmolested here
OP has good taste, MP-5's are fun to shoot.
As for me, I'd like a new production Thompson in the WW2 configuration.

So he's going to do things that will actually get him elected?
10/10, no visa, cant vote. Still buying my cousins vote.
Come one, come all, and bring those scatterguns with you. Here, we discuss our shotguns, loads, scores, and everything else. And, of course, pictures of shotgun porn. British big bore rifles can play too.
this thing is stupid and fun
>>29786593
If I had the money, I'd love to get my hands on one. I just love how the maker managed to get these transfered under an AOW stamp.
this thing is also fun.
>inb4 less lethal
im not LEO, orange doesnt really mean anything special to me
Does anyone sell reproduction, refinished, or refurbished mauser c96 pistols? I would like one, but the price is rather high, and I intend to shoot this often, so it doesn't have to be particularly nice. I'll still buy one in original condition, but I'd rather not.
You and me both. I'm keeping my eyes out for a cheap one I can take to the range once every few months and keep on display, don't have the money for a 5k one with matching stock and numbers though.
Go buy a bolo, where are you that they cost that much? Hell the gunshows near me sell them from $700-1500 depending on condition
>>29787080
What is this bolo? And I haven't seen them locally for less then $1000. Well, at least any that you'd want to own.
Are sigs a meme?
captcha: 226
>>29786508
Owned an m11-a1 and agree it's a great gun but god damn I don't think it was worth $800.
>>29786508
Swiss made SIG is high quality stuff.
The shit they are crapping out of exeter is pure, nitride coated memes.
So only the carbon slide sigs have rust issues, correct?
Earlier I got into an argument with a friend of mine because he staunchly defended the right to free speech but tried to tell me that the right to bear arms is invalid and should not exist in 2016.
This person thought that it would be perfectly acceptable for the government to abolish gun rights (220 years of legislation) and confiscate weaponry from citizens.
My question /k/ is should I DROP this friend? We have known each other for over 10 years but I never would have imagined he was this much of a liberal cuck
If it means that much to you then sure. I wouldn't personally, but that's because I'm not 12 years old.

What the fuck happened to all the gun companies our Grandfathers used to love and take pride in their hunting rifles in? Are their any MADE IN AMERICA, non-shit tier companies making classic hunting rifles left?
>No Savage
Quit gargling so much advertising and do a basic search for hunting rifles /k/ likes.
>>29786289
Don't forget Henry. although they only make lever guns.

Now one of the biggest middle fingers to Bill Ruger's fudd beliefs.
Is the KRISS Vector an XM8-tier meme or an actually viable weapon?
Kel Tec tier design study.
SMG are fucking obsolete.
The gun's recoil dampener used to shake the thing apart in earlier models, but supposedly it works a lot better in the latest gen. SMGs as a whole are pretty obsolete though. I'd be interested in seeing how well the system would scale up to a rifle caliber.
>>29786149
Coming out with 10mm soon
Is it possible to get a KS-23/TOZ-123 nowadays?
No.
>>29785886
What's the most similar shotgun to it?
>>29785981
I can't remember what it's called, but there *was* an export version that made its way over here. We're talking a handful at most. Last I saw go at auction went for $4k.
