Gun show this weekend for me, looking for the same as you. I'm just trying to find a reasonably priced PTR or other battle rifle. If nothing shows up I'm also looking for a K31 for fun.

I recommend literally anything that fires .308 if that's what you want. For your purposes they all pretty much function fine. Go with whatever tickles your fancy / you can afford.

I recommend the Mayflower APC.
It's Swiftclip compatible, fits really easy and is as comfortable as you can get with armor. I use the cummerbund to holster a pistol and some extra shit, but the plate pockets work really well and it's got an overall high level of quality.

I bought mine for real cheap. SKD was having an Independence Day sale. I'd wait for black Friday if I was you.
