In a nuclear attack on America, how safe would the east coast be from potential enemies?
>>31322584
That depends. How close is the nearest military base to where you live?
>>31322584
Well, the east coast has a lot of the economical and political influence of the country (but that's not spread down the whole coast)
You'd also want to look at common wind currents (although, those may be temporarily disrupted to LOLGIANTFUCKINGBOMB) to see if you're downwind from any major cities/priority targets (ex. Dams and shit)
TL;DR your question is vague and retarded and you are likely a living depiction of your question
>>31322584
After a full scale nuclear war, including Russia, the U.S would probably be completely vulnerable to outside invaders(think China) for at least several weeks following the attack.
Settlements near the coasts or borders would be the first to be attacked in an invasion.
In short, you'd be fucked.
Is there a single example in history where SOF from one significant country engaged SOF from another significant country?
>>31322547
well-documented example*
>>31322547
Maybe Vietnam somewhere
Stalingrad?
If you count the snipers deployed specificially to counter other snipers, and then the enemy snipers deployed to counter the counter snipers.
Return of Tales from the Gun Counter
'The other boys don't know I wear girl panties to work' edition
About two years ago I started posting these (shitty) threads, which contained stories from working the gun counter at a sporting goods store. The amount of truth in these stories eventually ran pretty thin, and I had to get creative. The quality of the threads declined, and the stories became filled with mythical German Shepherds.
I quit that job a while ago, but last week I started working part time at my LGS to supplement my income. I invite you to please also share your amusing gun shop experiences. This is the Return of Tales from the gun counter...
>get handed some paperwork for a transfer

Does anybody know what the deal with this guy is?
I can't tell if he's some dangerous borderline autistic, or a maniac who's trying to troll us all.
He has Mark Serbu helping him with videos now, but that just raises more questions than answers
Bitching about the personalities of people on YouTube is not weapons-related.
Fuck off.
>>31322199
His weapons are fascinating, this isn't some touched rant about how nutnfancy makes me feel bad.
>>31322177
Man, that HK trigger.
Can someone tell me what this is?
It's one of those secret symbols that homosexuals use to covertly identify themselves to one-another.
Post cheap 3rd world CAS platforms. Something that would pair well with an army that issues FALs.
If israel did it and one against a superior force than it must have worked well, pic related, romanian bf109 sold to Israel for first air force
Brazilian Super Tucano. Prop plane in the age of next gen jets. Looks fun to fly tho
>>31321774
Wow, the irony of your first air force sporting the fighters of the nation that tried to exterminate your race...
So, I grabbed my sks and went innawoods today, how was your day /k/?
I need to join you. Where did you get your SKS from? How much was it?
>>31323702
I second this question
>>31321631
>innawoods
Are you going to get it, /k/?
It's basically sex in pistol form, but not right away. I'll wait awhile.
>>31321626
Most likely. Was unaware of it until recently. Good timing as I've been looking at 9mms in that price range. Tough call between this and a USP Compact but those features....
i can hear a rat scratching in my ceiling right now above my bed. i have my Winchester 1300 defender loaded with #6 bird shot. What do?

Are you that Aussie from earlier?
Don't shoot because you'll miss. Just get a mouse trap like everyone else
You could shoot yourself
How I do load wooden stakes as bullets? I need something for defense against vampires.
>>31321549
I read that at the beginning of DDay, some American soldiers were hit by wooden bullets because the Germans were so flustered trying to get to their defenses they took every bit of ammo they had.
Didn't kill but they made large, ragged wounds that hurt like a bitch.
>>31321702
Did the Germans use wooden bullets in place of lead as training ammunition back then? I know they used blue plastic bullets in blue plastic cartridges during the Cold War for training (not sure if that's still happening today).

NEW YORK STRONG!
I'm looking at picking up a rifle in .22LR for paper shooting, perhaps in time being competitive at a club level. I'm in Ontario and recently saw one of these Schultz and Larsen M61 rifles for sale at a local gun show. They wanted 800 CAD, which seemed a little steep.
Anyone have recommendations for a decent target rifle around 600 CAD? Used is fine if they can be found in decent shape. I'm no crackshot but I'd like to feel confident the rifle is better then me. Plus I love the look of Olympic style rifles.
Thanks guys.
I'm going to bump with a couple rifle pictures
I don't know your market but I wouldn't buy a 22 unless it was new or I could shoot test groups. To much can go wrong with a target 22. Your best bet is to go to a range that has an amateur club and ask around to find out how to get involved. Eventually a club member will take pity on you and find an old guy willing to sell off his rifle.
This is literally how all of these competition groups run. New guy shows up, when he/she has passed scrutiny by applying themselves to the practice then club members find them deals on the right kit. Folks who show up cold with gear either spent too much or bought the wrong rifle or both.

A local gun shop near me got robbed by guys who drove a truck through the front door.
Made me pretty mad desu, how would /k/ as business owners prevent this?
Build a moat.
Mines
concrete stanchions out front.
How would a war between China and Japan turn out?
Would China be able to invade Japan?
Would they use nukes?
>>31321341
>would they use nukes?
Did somebody say Electric Boogaloo?
>>31321341
>Would China be able to invade Japan?
Certainly
>Would they use nukes?
I could imagine limited use of clean tactical nukes but not on population centers.
>>31321457
what constitutes a clean nuke?
Will we see shit like this again come November
This is not a political discussion, but rather an economic one concerning firearms/accessories and prices. (Mods)
Did companies back in 2013 rev up manufacture enough to prevent shortages on mags/ammunition?
Will price gouging return regardless?
Take all non-gun related stuff to >>>/pol/ as much as it pains me to do so, that's where the mods have decided gun-politics belong (despite the lack of nuanced understanding of guns/gun politics on that board)
>>31321138
jesus christ I sure hope not

fuck my asshole "Our Low Price"
I remember seeing a guy pay $1,200 for a single stack Npap during this time.
A lot of people that were interested in these things learned from that scare and used the last few years to make their purchases.
Of course some people are just idiots, so I've been buying Magpul mags every time I've seen them at a good price the last two years and plan to clean up at the flea market this December.
