New Aus fag here. I have no knowledge on guns, games and movies teach nothing. I would like to collect/buy milsurp rifles, primarily the Lee-Enfield (SMLE I think?) But all the different types confuse me. I was wondering if anyone could explain the basics to a noob. Things like target shooting, or getting gun licenses here in Aus.
OP here, forgot to mention. Any information would be nice.
>getting gun licenses here in Aus
go to the police website of your state. Follow their information. Usually requires you to buy a safe, and either join a club, or find someone with a load of land to let your shoot on.

Is it illegal to just go out into the bush and shoot? I know the .303 this gun takes is loud. And the drive out to the bush is short.
It just occurred to me that the AR-7 is the ideal volkssturm weapon. It's cheap to manufacture, easy to service, and easy to shoot. Depending on the circumstance, it can either be easily cut down into a pistol (useful for resistance fighters) or used with a full stock.
Only issue is the caliber: 22lr. But a 9mm variant would fix this. It's not going to penetrate armor, but it's good enough for ambush/guerrilla tactics.
>>31542313
Soooo.... basically a sten?
>>31542338
Stens are slightly larger, and cannot be as easily cut down into pistols
>>31542341
The hell they cant!
Ive built a few, they would be super easy to convert to pistols
>$650 for a roni chassis
>it's for fucking airsoft
Officially the worst Australian price gouging rip-off I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. Not just a shocking example of the gun "Australia tax", but dangerous.
Also, Ausfag thread.
>>31542234
I for one think it's dangerous to use any airshit accessories on "real steel". Especially a stock assembly with a foregrip. Would sue the fuck out of that guy if I lost my hand. Fuck "buyer beware" - it's being advertised as suitable for use on a real firearm
>>31542278
I would sue because steel is used for real firearms meaning this can be converted into a real firearm and not just airsoft.
>>31542280
Wtf are you talking about
Besides Trapdoor Action and Break Action what is the simplest single shot action for a rifle?

What game is that? It looks kinda fun.

Shogun 2 fall of samurI
By 2017 the world economy has collapsed. Food, natural resources and oil are in short supply. A police state, divided into paramilitary zones, rules with an iron hand.
What do?
Shitpost on /k/.
Women, or have they disappeared in this hypothetical scenario?
>>31541929
>>31541933
Please don't shitpost in my thread samefag.

The women are forced to dance for a gameshow called "The Running Man".
What weapons do you choose for your underground resistance forces?
>Be civilian after Shillary gets us into war with Russia
>Red Dawn is happening irl
>No guns to defend myself because Shillhill
>Neighborhood girls being pulled from their homes and filled with Ivan's Johnson
>Door is kicked down
>Giant she beast of a slavic woman is in my house in military uniform
>Grabbed by throat
>My 130 lb ass is dragged from my home
>Thrown to ground, punched
>One eyed snake is pulled out
>Her weight and motherland is pressed down onto my member full force from above
>No care for me, she is milking me like a tooth paste vile
>Dick about to break, cream pie
>Suddenly hands around my throat
>Stare at each other as air runs out and lights go black
>19 years later
>Mikhail is going through his moms things and finds medals from her time in the failed Russian Invasion of America
>Gets her drunk and asks her about her to tell some stories
>Mikhail realizes his dad is some dead American manlet about 30 lbs too light
>>31541856
>that pic
This is among other reasons why I stopped being as much as a slavaboo. I still appreciate Slav weapons, but as I began to dig a little into the Russkies I realized that culturally there's far too many differences for me to acclimate to living in that country. Its also why I think we're destined to be at a loggerheads of some kind for the foreseeable future.
Russians have nothing to smile about
>>31541875
well maybe it takes work to actually be able to live in a more sincere culture than yours

what gun should I get next?
budget is ~$1000
I've already got a gun for each of my needs, this one is for funnin n gunnin
Get a Tokarev and 1000 rounds of hollow point 7.62x25
Not sure if this is the right board but...
I'm an Ausfag, and have never even seen a real gun outside of a museum let alone fired one. I am, however, doing paintball for the first time tomorrow. What can I expect? Is it similar at all to shooting a real gun (minus recoil of course)?

Philippines' Duterte says China, Russia supportive when he complained of U.S
Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte said on Sunday he had received support from Russia and China when he complained to them about the United States, in another broadside that could test his increasingly fragile alliance with Washington.
Duterte said that during a meeting on the sidelines of a leaders' summit in Laos last month, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev had agreed with him when he railed against the United States.
"I met with Medvedev, I am revealing it to you now," Duterte said in a speech. "I told him this is the situation: They are giving me a hard time, they are disrespecting me; they are shameless.
"He said: 'That is really how the Americans are.' He said: 'We will help you.'"
Israel was the largest arms supplier to the Philippines in 2016.

Is it the parka?
Is the Walther P1 (with hex bolt) worth getting? Will it scratch my itch for a P38, or will the fact that it's not a p38 eat at me eventually?
gotta be comfortable while muslims use your boipussy
>>31541666
Well, the Flecktarn itself is comfy, although the quality is not always too great. But the rest of the personal equipment isn't that good.
Yes, get a P1 the Bundeswehr holsters for it are kinda nice if you like our shitty chest rig
>>31541695
Also yes that's the standard issued parka
ITT: Guns you love the look of but hate the feel/function of.
>>31541612
It pains me to agree with you on the 941.
I'm just mad that the Jericho/Baby Eagle doesn't have a 10mm version with the full-size barrel and no rail.
Speaking of, is it just me or does the 941 just look ugly as fuck with a rail?
>>31541651
A 10mm Jericho would be the best shit ever.
Is there a better all round camouflage than multicam/MTP?
Not trying to just shit stir but I'm looking at picking up some camouflage that'll work most of the year round. I live down in Alabama. I know it's the tacticool shit but if it does the job then I don't see why not.
Also general beautiful camouflage.
> inb4 shit tones of flectarn and cadpat
Fellow Alabamabro here (334), I actually just use M81 woodland, tigerstripe or flecktarn. They work very well for me innawoods. I can get a decent blend with very minimal contrast. Plus, they're all 3 pretty cheap and easy to find at most milsurp shops or sites.
>>31541730
I'm from the UK originally so I have the old British woodland gear which is pretty simmilar to the M81 I was just wondering how it faired through the winter months
251 myself.
>>31541749
DPM?
Is an sks worth buying at the current prices? All the forum posts and guides I've looked at seem to be written back when it was cheaper.
Also sks General (since there wasn't a thread in the catalogue)
How did the SKS become associated with Canada?
No
The only reason the SKS got so popular was because it was cheap and so was the ammo. None of this stands anymore.
its heavy and overpriced
>>31541376
>$340
>semi-auto with 10 rd, can accept higher if bubba'd
>cheap steel case ammo
>not worth it anymore
Does anybody have any experience with London Bridge? They have a plate carrier on sale and I could use a means of carrying my spare mags ect in a shtf which is possible while I go to school here in Florida. Any thoughts on pic/link related?
http://lbtinc.com/6094c-cb
LBT makes some of the best gear around... I love my 6094. It's a no brainer.
>>31541009
Yeah this is like $200 off so I'm thinking it's a good deal.
>I love my 6094. It's a no brainer.
What do you like about it? I really know shit about plate carriers or body armor
>>31540982
LBT is all around solid. I'd go Mayflower APC if you can stomach not having radio pouches/kangaroo flap and plan on using a chest rig with it. It's also a bit lighter.
Either way you can't go wrong and both will have very high resale.
Hi /k/
I've been shooting firearms most of my life and finally want to get one of my own
I want to get a practical handgun but I also know that I'll probably never be in a situation where I need to concealed carry a 12 round pocket pistol
So i was thinking a deagle with top and bottom mounts to have fun at the range
knowing that I don't know shit about fuck, or what to buy or why, anyboy know what else I should be looking into buying?
If it's going to be nothing but a range toy there's nothing wrong with a deagle. There are cheaper options, but if it's what you really want, then go for it.
>>31540822
Magnum Research also makes a great 1911.
thanks for the help! i just don't want to look like a douche or something with an oversized, unnecessarily big pistol, heard a lot about that.
what would be a cheaper, comparable, maybe humbler option? anything other than the 1911 model?
also kinda unrelated, but does this barrel mod actually help w/ accuracy haha
