Gonna buy one of these in 5.56 in a few months. got a chance to shoot one last week and it was very nice
>>31537827
I keep getting close to buying one. Every time, I stop myself, though. If that thing breaks, it would be a pain in the ass to find parts, as Bushmaster's website still doesn't work, and the accessories are next to impossible to find.
Even Remington Defense canceled their ACR program, so it's only a matter of time before Bushmaster cans this as well. Perhaps some day, Magpul will create their version the way they intended.

Is the folding sleeping mat a meme? Will I end up with a pack without sufficient structure/support as well as a useless, uncomfortable sleeping pad?
Sorry if this belongs on /out/ (or in a gearqueer thread), it just seems more likely that someone here has experience with these or the other packs I'm about to post.
I won't be thru hiking the AT, or hiking far in general. I'll be hiding my truck off the highway in the desert, then hiking a couple more miles to a remote enough spot to shoot and camp freely. I'll probably also use this for traveling (air, road trips, whatever). I'm a poorfag and weight is not a big consideration.
Looking for a cheap pack that will fit tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, canteens, food/mess kit for 1-3 nights with the ability to attach knives, e tool, possibly a rifle, pouches, and other accessories.

>Is the folding sleeping mat a meme? Will I end up with a pack without sufficient structure/support as well as a useless, uncomfortable sleeping pad?
Yes, yes, and yes.
Here are the other packs I'm looking at. I'm thinking about getting 2 of these, for some versatility and also so I can make my poorfag friend help me carry gear if he accompanies me. I also just like collecting stuff like this, especially when it's this cheap.
I like how those giant side pouches on the radio pack are able to be removed and turned into a shitty daypack. Would the bundeswehr pack really be worth 10 dollars more (20 with sleeping pad)?
That British patrol pack seems like a far better choice than the gebirgsjager ruck, but both are cheap and would be neat to have.
Which two would you pick? Or if you'd choose 1 or 2 different packs, what would they be?

Hey /k/, use to lurk but never was able to really get into guns. Circumstances have changed and I want to get an AR15. Now money won't be an issue after the first of the year, but I'm impatient. I have around $500 to play with. Is it possible /k/?
Suggestions on parts, post your builds, inspire me.
I built this one for around 600

Nice, did you get complete upper/lower? Or assemble your own?

Stop being a fag and save up a bit more money
I have a question /k/.
Why does the simple action of me owning a firearm offend so many people? Why is there so much hate? There are many things I prefer over other things or don't like. Nothing is made of it.
I'm constantly insulted, not that it bothers me but an observation, blamed for things out of my control, seen as an enabler, and constantly having to defend myself from people wanting to control what I do with my private weapons.
Why? Why can't those, that don't care for or like guns, just leave me alone and allow me to live my life?
Why is the simple act of me owning a gun, that hurts nobody and never will, attract such blind hatred? I never did anything to deserve this.
People want easy solutions to hard problems.
This is because people, especially 21st century Americans, are lazy and stupid.
>>31537624
Shut the fuck up and delete this thread.
Because if you were to snap and decide to kill 50 people before committing suicide, owning an automatic weapon gives you that option. This, understandably, makes people feel uncomfortable in their day to day lives.

This or Shield .45?
>>31537621
I've not heard any non-aesthetic complaint about them, and they're something different at least.
I have a PM9 and it is a sweet little shooter.
I've narrowed down my next purchase (pocket pistol/ankle holster for concealed carry) will either be a CM9, PM9, or Shield 9, probably leaning toward the CM9 though.
Are you ready? Ordering will start in ~1 week.

What is mountain ale?

It's a 34IBU 7.4% ABV English Strong Amber Ale, it's fairly sweet for what's usually a fairly bitter beer
It's pretty widely available, totally worth $9 for six

Tannerite in the winter.
I'm thinking about taking a long trip through the woods/mountains for about 150 miles, so I'm thinking about 3-4 weeks.
Is hunting my only option for food? I would need something like 100k calories worth of food total at 3k cals per day, so it seems it wouldn't be possible to carry that much.
What's the best way to hunt for food in a situation like that. Killing a deer/elk is a waste because I'd eat 1 lb of it and then continue my hike and waste the rest. Fishing seems good, but I don't think I can fish 3k cals a day.

I'd learn trapping if I were you. Birds, small mammals, bugs and fish (look up primitive fish trap in particular)
fishing takes a while, but I know salmon is good
rabbit and squirrels both are small and easy enough to catch, but I don't like the taste of squirrel and there aren't many rabbits where I live. birds are always a good option too.
So tell me /k. How the hell we are still losing war on terrorism? We have technology, numbers, jets n shit... And we still can't beat them? Maybe they are really a CIA plant.

pretty much this
their goal is greater israel, why do you think we've fought all the good goy wars in the middle east?
iraq was first, now it's syria. soon it will be iran(if you don't think there's going to be war in iran you're a moron). why do you think they're pushing the syrian refugee meme so hard? israel is going to steamroll through there eventually too and there won't be any young men to fight for syria

Who on /k/ went to the range this weekend?
I went out today with 3 guns, my Berthier rifle, Burnside carbine, and William Powell & Son 450 BP express double rifle. My dad took this picture of me shooting the 450 BP Express, pretty impressive I must say. Gives you a pretty damn good shove, 405gr lead bullet with 110gr of FFFg black powder.
i wanted to go to the range but i was sick
>>31536910
Same here. Im firing out both ends.
Some one please kill me.
>>31536885
I wanted to, but I'm a poorfag.
I did dry fire drills at home tho.
Which gun should I get for my very first firearm? I've been thinking about getting either a Mosin Nagant 91/30 or the Henry repeating rifle in .22
Let me know, and explain why it'd be better for beginners. Thanks /k/
