Sup /k/. I've come into possession of a Lee Enfield Rifle that has unfortunately been decommissioned by having a small hole drilled into the receiver and the barrel plugged. The firing pin appears to the the only part missing, but other than that the rifle appears to be completely together and operational, the bolt is complete, the safety is complete and functioning, and the trigger group functions normally. I'm no Enfield expert, so from my research I think this rifle is an Indian made Ishapore No1 Mk III Rifle in .303 British. I would like to restore the rifle to working order, so I was thinking about buying a barreled receiver and replacing the current decommissioned barrel and receiver in order to get it shooting again. My question is: 1, is this a good idea, and 2, do parts from the British Enfields fit on Indian models? If any Enfield experts could weigh in on what I should do to get it shooting again, that would be great. Pic related, markings on the right side of the rifle.

Never shot a Creed, but I've played with a PPX, which was the previous generation.
Pros:
