>Physiologically, a determined adversary can be stopped reliably and immediately only by a shot that disrupts the brain or upper spinal cord. Besides a hit to the central nervous system, massive bleeding from holes in the heart or major blood vessels of the torso causing circulatory collapse are the only other ways to force incapacitation upon an adversary, and this takes time. For example, there is sufficient oxygen within the brain to support full, voluntary action for 10 to 15 seconds after the heart has been destroyed.

Or y'know, just inflict lots of pain to the point where they effectively mentally shut down.
Not every assailant is an out-of-his-mind meth head.

You prepare for the worst not the average, otherwise why even own a gun since your average day is you masturbating to hentai.

>For example, there is sufficient oxygen within the brain to support full, voluntary action for 10 to 15 seconds after the heart has been destroyed.
A lie of omission, here. You may be able to stay conscious and somewhat move around for that long, but you are absolutely not going to be able to do anything physically demanding. 10 seconds of merely standing would be a herculean task with a destroyed heart.
long-nose tribe trader offer Roogh long piece of hide pouch in middle, call sling-shot, want 20 squirrel skins, Roogh trade?
What is wrong with spear? Sling is for weak berrypicker and women.

>I'd rather get mauled by a bear than intentionally take his life, I refuse to carry a firearm in the woods
I heard this while eavesdropping on some customers at work. Personally I'd rather just take the bear's life. Sorry to bears, just want to live.

All I have is black bears. Getting mauled by them would be the most adorable way to die.
Dear /k/,
I'm a democrat who voted for Hillary and with the rise of Trump I've finally realized all of you have been right about gun legislation. I'm pretty tight on money and I'm wondering if there's a gun I can get for cheap and what would the requirements be? Something around one hundred dollars would be great. I'm in Texas but I don't want any of my friends to know I'm looking into buying a gun.
100 bucks? Get a used hi point.
Push your budget to 200, you can find many used firearms in that range of good quality. 100 will blow up in your hand
I am looking in to getting a shotgun for my house. I have decided on either the Remington 870 or the Mossberg 500. I am most likely going tactical build for this gun, other suggestions are welcomed as well.
>>32747063
Remington QC has been spotty since '08 or so. I'd stick with Mossberg and that delicious aftermarket.
>Tactical
Mossberg 590, no contest. Remington safety placement a shit.
>>32747079
Lol ok a crossbolt safety is bad because you don't like it, I've seen more Mossbergs with ghetto rigged broken safeties because idiots drop their guns and it shatters the shitty plastic safety than I have functional guns
Do you guys think the ATI 9mm Mp 40 will be worth it?
>made in germany
>$650
>stocks are in the works
handled one at a gun show today, buttery smooth and real attention getter, although most of the bearded tacticool fags wanted the tavors next to it
>>32746022
>semi auto
no, fuck that shit. I'd rather just get a $200 non firing replica if I wanted to be a faggot.
What's the deal here.
Buy it as a pistol then buy the stock later?
Pls tell me barrel is threaded
Why dose anybody care about the F-35 when the F/A-18 dose everything better or as well for a lot cheaper?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inN8zSrr8OA
>>32745734
F-18 is not low observable and the air frames are getting old.
>>32745734
It isn't that much cheaper.
>>32745755
This, production line for E/F models is still open.

Imports are artificial, what kind of logic do you subscribe to? I am pretty sure import laws are real and regardless of how you "view" them they are the law and set a standard. Want a $300 AK, move to south america or Africa. If not don't whine about the "high" American prices due to import law.
I do not agree with many laws but it does not mean I just look past them and make my own set of prices for what should be standard sales in the US. Sorry brother I live in the real world...
Also sorry your stuck with me, this isn't a safe space faggot.
Repost so you can see this ;)

Shitty. But they've definitely gotta be close
Next time you need to put more in one box ^)
And for whoever was asking about Vector Arms, IIRC they were a mid-tier builder but the name apparently makes people wary. If you can avoid it that's probably for the best

depends on what you mean by "done".
Why does the military spend so much on non-military-essential personnel like cooks or lawyers or doctors/dentists? None of those jobs are related to fighting, so why doesn't the military just force civilians to do those jobs for them? There's no reason to be paying for cooks or giving them veteran benefits if the military could just force local restaurants or whatever to provide food, and force local doctors/hospitals to provide medical care.
Forced labor isn't really America's thing, you know. Besides, it's a huge liability relying upon civilians for food and medical service, especially if you're doing it with local civvies (if there are even trained doctors and enough farmers to feed an army in some of the more fucked-up parts of the Middle East now).
Also, that's just begging for some allahuakbar to quietly slip poison into his patties, or for a doctor to let some poor schmuck with a few 7.62 rounds through his stomach to pass away "despite all that he could do".
>>32745484
>so why doesn't the military just force civilians to do those jobs for them
Because volunteer does not mean conscription.
>>32745484
becuase it costs less to have a guy they pay 30k anually to deploy and make food, than it would to get a civilian contractor.
have you ever heard of a doctor wanting to go to Afghanistan?
or a cook?
or a lawyer?
typically those people arnt in the military because they are trying to avoid fighting.
Pay up or get booted

>NATO is obsolete and needs to be updated
>Members must be beholden to the same levels of spending that they had during the one of the most tense periods in recent history

>>32743880
The point of NATO is to be ready for armed conflict, to assist each other.
The ones under 2.0% are not ready for any form of armed conflict at all.

Pack it full of enough explosives. Find a pilot that just doesn't give a fuck anymore and point him in the general direction of your enemies and wait.
It's already killed more people than most military airframes.
