The incredible part is that the Mongols sent TWO envoys. They fucking kidnapped one of the only examples of Mongol kindness, and got a second envoy for talking things out like adults. He fucking begged them with tears in his eyes to give a reason, any reason, not to exterminate everyone. He tried so hard for the only time in his life to be merciful and the fucktards turned good ol genghy down. The Khan came to town, every town, and wiped them clean. He reminded them that if they had not sinned, none of this would be necessary. It was all their fault, it didn't have to end like that, dying like dogs. This is the largest unforced error in human history. Nothing comes within a fraction of the sheer number of extra chromosomes displayed by the Kwarezmian leadership. Fifty thousand years from now they will be remembered still as the apex predators of poor decision-making.

95% is wrong

Mongols spared the Turks and Turkics because of the Ancient Pact made in Baideng.

Intellectual and moral cowardice/dishonesty of /his/torians.

People will artistically sperg about minor historical accuracies, but they are perfectly willing to sacrifice historical accuracy in the altar of political correctness and make apologies for whatever bs the current political regime feeds them, because they agree with its ideology and goals.

How do you want people to take history seriously as a science if you use it or support those using it as ideological tool and propaganda?

You have underwent the test of intellectual and moral courage and honesty and you have failed. You have reduced yourselves to the role of state apparatchiks, flatteres and courtiers.

Shame on you.

How did life arise on Earth in such a short period after its formation? Only ~600 million years had to pass before life suddenly began manifesting in the form of single-celled organisms, that seems absurdly short considering the ridiculously precise conditions necessary for life to abiotically generate, compare that to the time necessary for life to become multicellular, about 2 billion years, and that seems fucking absurd. Are scientists suggesting life will spontaneously generate in a pre-biotic environment more than twice as quickly as multi-celled organisms will develop from single-celled ones? How am I supposed to believe this?

I hope /his/ is a good board to post this on, it is history. Somebody convince me that abiogenesis isn't total horseshit, at the very least life on Earth came from some other place, I refuse to believe ~600 million years is enough time for life to spontaneously begin when billions are necessary for life to even evolve to be even slightly complex.

Life needs right conditions to manifest itself
>>
>>3159428
Obviously, but how is it that in only 600 million years those "right conditions" occurred? If you actually look into how absurdly unlikely it is for life to arise from non-life, it really makes it seem ridiculous that 600 million years is enough. If the conditions are so easily met that life can begin spontaneously in a timescale so short we should be able to much more easily prove that it can do so, hell there should probably be some species still alive today that have spontaneously generated and developed alongside older species, but that isn't the case at all, everything shares a common ancestor despite spontaneous life being apparently so easy to generate naturally, even in the most remote places on Earth there is no species that is a result of an abiogenesis separate from our apparent own.

Atmosphere first had to change to oxygen to permit complex multicellular life forms. It took billions of years to do that. Once oxygen levels where set, evolution went quickly.

Why is Eastern European history so underrated?

It's always: WEST, muh England, muh France, muh Germany. But no one really cares about Eastern Kingdoms and Empires. England was an irrelevant backwater compared to: Poland-Lithuania, Bohemia, Hungary and Muscovy

Is there anything to the claim that WWII was a continuation of WWI, which was itself the campaign of the British to destroy/weaken Germany's rival industries? And that the British wanted a Fascist type to prevent an alliance with the Soviet Union, which would be a nightmare for Anglo-Saxon hegemony? How close did Germany come to becoming communist instead of fascist?

like getting murdered by the gods after a few seconds of pleasure, if you could even get inside.

Do you really think that you could please Aphrodite? Hephaestus couldn't even satisfy her and he was a god. You'd probably cum upon glancing at her, and then she'd make fun your dick for a few minutes.

Think of the mortals she did sleep with.

Butes-An Argonaut. You aren't one.
Anchises- Zeus forced her to fall in love with him for constantly messing with the other gods.
Adonis-literal male perfection.

What's up with this, figure shown is the Oseberg ''Buddha'' that was taken by the Norse, it is of Irish design and has swastikas, figure is actually believed to be the Celtic god Cernunnos but as far as we know Ireland didn't have any contact with India.

I hate how I feel under pressure to do millions of things at the same time in millions of different ways. But one of those things is reading. I hate how you're told by the pseudo intellectual masses that you have to read shitloads of "classic" books and are forced to claim you found them entertaining and filled with "profound psychological and philosophical insights".

Firstly, books and reading books all the way through (in contrast with reading as a means to an end, e.g., reading a physics equation) no longer even encompass the huge majority of intellectual activity. 1000 years ago you would be known as a huge genius if you were literate, read the bible, and made up your own 5000 page segment of unfalsifiable theology where you try to work out whether god approves of lightly salted pretzels. These days we have the bullshitty, unfalsifiable philosophising strands of intellectual activity. We also have programming, mathematics, chemistry, and many other things. Stop telling me that reading books all the way through is the only way to be intelligent or do intelligent things.

Stop pretending that the huge, huge majority of books can't be summarised. I hate how "erudition" is praised and I'm threatened with exile if I don't constantly read. It's ironic how erudition is praised by people who love seeming like curmudgeons who want to live back in Ancient Greek or Roman or Medieval times "when scholars weren't so narrowly focused and could grasp the complexities of life, in contrast with out simplistic scientists and so called intellectuals these days, such as Stephen Hawking". Of course it's ironic because erudition is like aspiring to be a really fucking dumb and basic computer database. Beep boop! There are 27 moons of Saturn! Did you know Proust's third novel had 27 deaths? Did you know the Ancient Macedonians worshipped 729 types of cat-like Gods and 729 is 27^2? What's that, you want me to use the information in a non-trivial manner? I'm just a database. Boop beep!

This isn't just non-fiction, it's also fiction where the pseuds are out in full force. Fiction was most likely originally written for fun. These days, "fun" and "enjoyment" are dirty words for the pseudo-intellectuals. All the classic novels are supposedly filled with "profound psychological and philosophical insights". Novels these days are supposed to facilitate an English professor's activity of making unfalsifiable, post hoc inferences or playing spot the allusion. Even though everyone today is supposedly too stupid to know what a good novel is, every surviving novel ("which stood the test of time" supposedly) first had to survive by having some measure of popularity in its own time, where everyone had an IQ of 200.

You can't just call something boring these days and stop reading it. You have to claim that the author's understanding of Sanskrit linguistics as applied to the design of chewing gum wrappers was deficient.

Hello fellow Sub-Saharan Africanologists

Is there any chance that the Nsibidi ideographic script evolved from Egyptian symbols similar to how poto-Phoenician and Nubian did and spread throughout their respective regions?
Or is this an entirely isolated case that could potentially predate all written languages, since we don't know its true origin and only ahve traces with the Ikom monoliths of todays Nigeria?
