Okay, okay. So let me get this straight. Atheists believe god doesn't exist despite there not being any evidence for his none existence? and people eat this shit up?

They deny the existence of god, but bring nothing that confirms this world-view to the table. It's literally a leap of faith.

The Nazi were not something alien or foreign other. What they were was the worst qualities of contemporary western civilization inflated and focused inwards instead of outwards. They showed Europe and America the faults of western civilization (racism, bigotry, eugenics, scapegoating, nationalism, belief in "survival of the fittest") and that for all it's machinery and industrial power they were still capable of horrible evils.

If you respond by saying "Western Civilization is/was perfect!" then congratulations, you're the exactly the sort of collective narcissist that drives civilizations into the ground.

I will attempt to make a thread about a major historic issue, consciously knowing that we are in 4chan, hoping to start a discussion in an international level, since we are in an international forum.
Has the western human abolished all of the values that made revolutions, such as those in Russia, Spain and even under the grip of the 2nd world regimes in Czechoslovakia and Hungary, possible? Values like solidarity, sense of duty to the next generation and decensy to fight against fear and oppression?
Is it a legitimate question to ask whether the process of a brewing uprising is positive and should be understood as preparation for a social transition or just the incarnation of the masters pitting us against one another? How can we differentiate, if so? By asking qui bono?
Should we question opinions that place a christian-inspired role of self-sacrifice to the revolutionary subject or blame the lack of action to defeatism?

>>
No, but these revolutions are part of what abolished any trace of value in the western man.

I am turning the question, I suppose, towards the "subjective conditions" of history, as marxists-leninists would say.
Is the matter in the present really all about whether the proletariat wants to move on? Do you think we have reached that point?
Should we be discussing how to proceed or should we use use the tool of theory to figure out how developments will unfold? Do you even think this is a valid dillema?
Remember, one should always first seek to pose the correct questions before attempting to give answers or present views and opinions.
And that is really the point of this thread.
>>
why the need for revolution or change when everyone is comfortable with the conditions. no one cares anymore. Those who see the problems don't organize.

What was his endgame?
23 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
Security for his state.
>>
Stalin believed that if Communism were to spread worldwide, he had to ensure that Russia was to be strong enough to sponsor communist revolutions across the world, seeing as every revolution in the 1920's failed except Russia and Mongolia.

He instituted a policy called "Socialism in One State" to hyperfocus on improving the Soviet Union to become one of the world's greatest military and economic powers, and once that was accomplished, use it to be in a position to orchestrate successful revolutions across the world.

You could say it worked. His rapid industrialization and massive overhaul of the Red Army to be able to take on and defeat Nazi Germany in time, as well as be able to establish the Warsaw Pact and sponsor the Communists effectively in the Chinese Civil war during their takeover.

>>
>>433990

his endgame was satisfying his pathological need to dominate absolutely and relieve his constant paranoia by making sure every single even remotely potential opposition is literaly killed, so he can sleep at night without constantly imagining someone bursting in with a machinegun and a stick of dinamite

dude was raised by a tirant mother, educated in a monastery, ran away and finished growing up as a practicaly homeles migrant worker, then he turned a communist and started robbing banks, dealing with the worst kind of people you can imagine in tzarist fucking russia, spent time in tzarist gulags or hiding out in caves and forests, almost lost the use of one arm, prolly killed more people and been in mortal dangers more times than hitler fired bullets in the whole WW1

dude was hardcore, but life made him insane, practicaly a paranoid sociopath with somekind of cezar sindrome, holding on to power and killing people by decree was like a nervous tick he couldnt control, it was opsessive

France also has a bunch of independent* countries in Africa.

*not at all
>>
>>433790
True, but then UK also has the commonwealth. Lets leave this out for the sake of discussion. Lets just talk about the turf they officially hold.

What do you think it's like being some Iraqi living in baghad when it was bombed, or some north African being bombed because you live near ISIS? To have your family killed or whatever, plus being injured yourself, while westerners justify this and don't give a shit about the fact that you're collateral damage?

I'm not trying to be sentimental, I'm just like you guys, this is too remote and abstract for me to have a meaningful level of sympathy.

Do you think that there is mass societal delusion when we ignore our countries doing shit like this? There's stuff other than this (e.g. badly treated Chinese workers making our smartphones), but so much gets swept under the rug.

I hate to say it, but Stirner was definitely right about everything.

There is why karma is a silly concept.

Most people living in ISIS controlled territories want to be there.
It's their slaves I feel bad for.

What you are imagining is happening in regime held cities. That is where the majority of civilians were being killed by foreign bombing campaigns, at least till the other night.
Now it's people who mostly support ISIS ideologically, and I do feel bad for those who don't wish to be there, and especially the slaves.

if we have agreed ISIS has to go then rather than a month long bombing campaign there should be a jointly coordinated desert storm style offensive.

Clean them out in 3 days, reinstate the regime and guarantee autonomy for the kurds, as they have in Iraq.

It's the only hope there is for a secular Syria that isn't a fracture state living with an un-easy peace with the caliphate.

If the populace is favorable to it, why not? If there is enough dislike of a monarch the people will (depending on the affluence and level of development of the nation) either protest enough for a referendum or overthrow it in favor of some junta or some shit.

>Where some states have an army, the Prussian Army has a state
>>
>>433226
"The government of Napoleon III of France was undoubtedly startled by the Prussian victory over Austria, and urgently sought to reform their army to face the conflict with Prussia which seemed inevitable and imminent. Their senior officers entirely failed to grasp the methods of the Prussian General Staff. The Chief of Staff of the French Army, Marechal Edmond Leboeuf, fatuously stated in 1870 that the French Army was ready for war, "down to the last gaiter button." In the event, at the outset of the Franco-Prussian War, 462,000 German soldiers concentrated flawlessly on the French frontier while only 270,000 French soldiers could be moved to face them, the French army having lost 100,000 stragglers before a shot was fired through poor planning and administration. (Most of these were reservists who had not been able to join their units before the units were hastily dispatched to join the armies forming up near the frontier.)
During the war, there were again the inevitable mistakes due to the "fog of war", but German formations moved with a speed and precision which French staff officers, accustomed only to moving battalion-sized punitive columns, could not match. In the French (and British) armies of the time, there was an anti-intellectual prejudice in favour of brave and unimaginative regimental officers over intelligent and well-trained staff officers. The French Army paid dearly for this bias in 1870 and 1871".

It didn't technically belong to England, inheritance laws weren't handed to humans by the hand of god or anything.

That said those guys were not descended of William.
>>
>>432826
William's house didn't hold the throne forever, and eventually, a family with a claim to the French throne came to power. That's more or less the basic jest of it, though England never belonged to France since William ruled it along with his holdings in Normandy as a separate domain from France, which is why England held land on the mainland.
>>
I think Feudal law wasn't that simple. While the Duke of Normandy was a vassal to the King of France, the fact that the same person held Normandy and the English throne didn't make England a French possession.
And when William I died, he left Normandy to his son Robert and England to William II. Once his fourth son Henry I defeated Robert's invasion and conquered Normandy, defeating Robert and Louis VI of France, and the whole confusion of the Anarchy happened under Stephen and Matilda, things became a bit more unclear.
Anyway, the exact status of Normandy was always controversial. Normans owed their service to the Duke of Normandy, not to both the Duke and King of France as in other dependencies, no appeals could be made to the Royal Court from the Ducal Court, and the Norman dukes claimed the act of homage by the Duke to the King did not establish his sovereignty over Normandy but only the personal suzerain relationship between the King of France and Duke of Normandy . Of course the King of France disagreed, but until the 14th century didn't have the military strength to force the issue

It's not good business to dispose of the leader, one that the people still held in high regard, of a country you're about to occupy and basically tell, "You're doing this because we aren't coming back over here again to deal with you."
