Why were the others cropped out?
>Wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muß man schweigen.
What did he mean by this?
Why did you abandon your blog, you piece of shit? No one wanted that stupid book about porn, and now we don't even get the articles.
Pp iwanted to read the porn book
What were his best posts?
Salve, my name is Meximedius.
I’m a 21 year old Ottoman Romanophile (Roman fan for you barbarians). I assemble mosaics and write poetry, and spend my days perfecting my art and reading superior Greco-Latin literature. (Julius Caesar, Cicero, Homer)
I train with my Paramerion every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I started getting tutored in the art of the sword 8 years ago, and I have been getting better every day.
I speak the languages of the Roman Empire fluently, both Latin and Greek, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about Roman history and their Corpus Juris Civilis, which I follow 100%
When Orban is done building my cannons, I am invading Konstantiniyye to crown myself the Casear to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an architect for Hagia Sophia or a mosaic designer!
I own several laurels, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Rome, so I can fit in easier. I salute my elders and seniors and speak Greek as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.
Wish me luck in Rome!
100%
That kid is gonna be a Roman emperor someday

It would have worked if turks converted to Orthodox Christianity. Then you'd have an Ottoman-led Roman Empire, which would have been the coolest thing ever, maybe able to land in Italy due to increased stability brought by having a population of the same religion.
TL;DR: Islam is cancer
>dude history lmao
How did anyone take this clown seriously?
>>1279210
Because this faggot right here.
Was surviving the black death the best thing that could possibly happen to a peasant?
>all this vacant land
>nobility can't push you around anymore
>qt's everywhere ready to be impregnated

I fucked up
Post history's biggest disappointments.
>One of Germany's greatest emperors
>Shows himself ruthless and cunning against your foes
>Decides to lead an army to the middle east to fight in the third crusade
>Gathers an army of 100.000
>Crosses some river when halfway there
>Falls off his horse and drowns
What would have happened if he didn't die?
No fights over who would lead the Crusade. Barbarossa was older, more powerful and outranked the two Kings.
German contingent reaches Jerusalem = stronger Crusader states
The interesting thing would be if he found out the Byzantines were helping the Muslims.
>>1278397
>One of Germany's greatest emperors
>lived 1122 – 10 June 1190
>"Germany"
>12th century
kill yourself

Even more disappointing is the fact that he was illiterate and actually not a very good military leader.
If I fear death, should I also fear sleep?
How does one live with the idea that continuity of consciousness is what matters?
>>1277976
>If I fear death, should I also fear sleep?
Yes. How do you know the "you" who went to sleep is the same as the "you" who woke up?
>>1277989
Why would that be a worry if it's a continuous experience anyway?
>How does one live with the idea that continuity of consciousness is what matters?
They live ignorantly, which is fine. Everyone does in one area or a lot of them.
The "self" is an abstract object. There isn't anything that actually separates you from the rest of reality. You're made of the same shit and are constantly exchanging materials with other stuff around you, it's all one big soup. You were simply taught by society that you exist, and this is how society and linguistics function globally at the moment, and you're not really going to be capable of thinking any other way without spending a lot of time alone up in a cave in tibet or something, and even then it's not like those guys are doing anything superior to having an ego. They're just dissolving theirs because it feels good.
Phenomenologically, the illusion of "self" and free will are strong enough to simply accept that they exist solely in your first-person perspective of reality, which is all that really should matter to you.
What does /his/ think of Even Hoxha?
>>1277932
Irrelevant tinpot dictator of an irrelevant nation.
If Albania vanished off the map tomorrow, it would take a week for anyone to notice.
>>1277941
I don't think we're getting a better answer than this
>a
>dirty
>commie
Even in the communist community, this guy is seen as a "joke," in a way.
He was overly paranoid and quickly pushed away all allies.
>required passports to travel between TOWNS.
>banned beards
Just why?
Do nonhuman animals have autonomy that needs to be respected?
>>1277860
Is autonomy something that needs to be respected?
>>1277860
If you're empathetic to autonomy and life, then yes.
If you're autistic or sociopathic, then no.
It also depends on how firm the animals consciousness is. Dogs, cats, pigs, birds, cows, monkeys et cetera have relatively high levels of consciousness and don't like being hurt. However, oysters and jellyfish don't feel the same distress and don't feel pain, so if you accidentally kill one, don't feel bad (anthropomorphism takes care of this one too, since both look like alien cumshots)
>humans
>animals
Hi, /his/torians, what period/s of history interest you the most.
(After 1980 is not history, it's just a rule)
August 2013 - February 2014
End of the 3rd Punic War -> Death of Julius Caesar
The First Crusade
The reign of Justinian
Alexander's Conquests
>>1277128
Late Anituqity and High Middle Ages.
Which of those was right?
>>1276900
Foucault doesn't belong in this mosaic. He was a neo-liberal.
>>1276900
Gandhi was right. I'm not actually sure who the others are anyway.
>>1276911
Still can be right/wrong/whatever
What if God is not omnipotent?
>>1276800
It would solve the problem of evil but would beg the question of then who was god's god?
>>1276800
He'd be a pretty pisspoor excuse for a god.
>>1276820
Another god.
They're not omnipotent either.
Also the same situation for that god's god's gods' god etc.
But with enough god, all the responsibilities gets covered. So hinduism wins.
was there ever a worse period in the history of mankind than the 30 years war?
>>1276677
The Thirty Years War has a lot in common with the recent Second Congo War which claimed 5,000,000 lives.
>>1276689
>equivalent deaths today
Meaning? How many deaths there would need to be nowadays to mirror how much of the proportion of the population died?
What are some of the most embarrassing 'victories' in history?
>What are 'force multipliers'
>>1276750
Something chinashills edited out of the summary.
>The defense was also stiffened by a significant number of British-supplied mortars, two batteries of French-supplied 75mm field guns and several 2 pdr anti-tank guns. Also of great importance were eight new U.S.-supplied M2A1 tanks which were deployed within the city itself.
>>1276758
Also there is almost zero chance that three IJA divisions had 600 artillery pieces. Chink revisionism at work.
Alright, so... Which non-Hitler Nazi is Best(Worst?) Nazi? And no, we aren't limited to pic related.
