What's the value of tradition when it's wrong? For example - why bother to maintain the illusion of religion being relevant (attending mass, etc.) when the Christian religion is of a very man-made origin and lacking any supernatural/divine inspiration or element?

There's no point in actual philosophers even publishing anymore since everybody is too self-absorbed for a decent philosophical work to gain traction across a broad readership. This is why Zizek is a famous intellectual today whereas in the 2000s you had Goedel and Quine and so on.
