From oblivion, what was the original attack?

Probably the first expansionary conquests made by Kyösti Korpela in the early days of Finland, before their consolidation into the Finnish Empire in 59745 BC. Regional disputes with Korea had not yet been a significant issue.

>communism is the end state of capitalism
>yet that will never happen because the greedy markets are the main ones profiting from capitalism hence they will continue sabotaging any plans for evolving into actual communism
>capitalism without markets leads to collapse
>communism that's not the result of a peaceful transition from capitalism will lead to a gigerian abomination that in time will also collapse
Is communism a lost cause?

This plus the Arabian peninsula had never really been controlled by any non Arab government so when the ottomans tried to assert control over it they got pissed. The people there are naturally nomadic Bedouins.

Would the other Amendments have lasted this long without the 2nd to protect them?

>>
muh speech is a meme. read up on alien and sedition acts.
>>
The 2nd amendment has had no real effect on anything.
>>
>>1775356

Almost certainly so.

The 2nd amendment has a lot going for it, and I want to make things clear, I am very much for the private ownership of firearms by the citizenry; but the claim that it allows for a democratic safeguard in the form of rebellion is bullshit.

You look at places that currently do or did have armed insurrection against their governments, like the ongoing kurdish resistance against Saddam's Iraq, or the LTTE in Sri Lanka, or ISIS in Syria, and you see that they manage to get guns even when there's nothing comparable to the 2nd amendment and there's usually restrictive gun bans.

If something so bad happened in America such that you'd have an insurgent movement against the government, you can bet that people would manage to find rifles, 2nd amendment or no 2nd amendment.

The powerful and educated are always at the forefront of any revolution; the majority also typically don't care and prefer the status quo because they're lazy. That doesn't diminish their philosophy or the new, humanistic system they created.

They weren't all slave owners, nor were all the slave owners cruel. Even intelligent, otherwise morally decent people can experience cognitive dissonance; just because they were imperfect doesn't diminish the good they did.

Religion as it is practiced has very little to do with religion as it is detailed by its founder. People will pick and choose whatever parts of the original message best fit their current situation and world view and will even at times make shit up in order to shape the religion into something more appealing to them.

How close did the United States get to communist revolution during the Great Depression?

Just read Hammer and Hoe by Kelley, and I'm amazed how powerful and widespread CPUSA organization was.
8 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
CP was directed from Moscow and Moscow was getting into the "National Fronts" policy. Hence there were a few party members in the FDR administration
>>
>>1773094
Not very, 2bh. Considering that the Communist Party's strength was most visible in the most impoverished rural areas that had no ability to influence national society even in the best of times. Maybe if FDR hadn't come into power and supported labor unions it might have had more influence, but even then it's unlikely that the party would have ever had political influence beyond the local and state level. Things were never bad enough in terms of food availability for there ever to be a communist revolt in the country.
>>
>>1773206
The CPUSA leadership was closely tied to Moscow, but there was no direct contact between Moscow and local parties outside of New York and Chicago.

Why do people give this guy so much credit for """"liberalizing"""" China's economy? China even today is still a statist shit hole- regulations are everywhere, state owned companies abound, corruption is rampant.

Deng's two biggest accomplishments IMO were to stumble upon the idea of "let's not fuck with the economy every 5 seconds" and succeed Mao "JUST" Zedong.

Because even if it's barely a liberalization it was way better than having millions die of central planning bullshit, I suppose.

If you take a ball or more, and seeme to put it into your other hand, and whilst you vse charming words, you
conuey them out of your right hand into your lap, it will seeme strange, for when you open your left hand,
immediately the sharpest lookers on will say, it is in your other hand, which also then you may open, and
when they see nothing there, they are greatly ouertaken.
