So .Net was released for Linux. What is the point of using Java anymore?

Do you have a FB account?
I noticed this a few months back. I noticed that I was getting a lot more friend suggestions of people that I didn't know, which was the first thing that made me curious. Facebook had always been suggesting that I friend people when I had mutual friends with that person, but suddenly it was suggesting that I friend people that I didn't recognize, and with whom I shared no mutual friends. So I started paying a bit more attention. Then I noticed that, among the random strangers, there were a few people that I did know but did not have any mutual Facebook friends and hadn't checked in at the same locations or anything else. That was my first tip-off that Facebook was trying to do something clever to link up friends, so I scanned the suggestions again looking for a possible pattern. Then I noticed that some of the strangers looked familiar. It took me a second to place them, but they were people who lived in the same apartment building or worked in the same office building. In some cases, it was people who lived in a nearby apartment building and got coffee from the same place that I did. They're definitely using location data to match people up.

So how is that a bad thing?

FTFY.
The lack of privacy is a bad thing; on the other hand, what do you expect from FB?

Goddamned it Sherlock, maybe you can put that shit to good use and find the Unabomber, or who killed Sharon Tate.

Am I understanding this correctly? This guy is claiming ATI head guy is deliberately sabotaging his division so ATI would be bought out by Intel, even though AMD is the owner and it's up to them whether they sell, and the AMD CEO isn't going to do anything about it because of reasons not explained. All of this is proved by AMD having a product launch in an exotic place.
I'm confused.

Is there a way to "upgrade" old Windows 7 product keys do Windows 10 without actually installing the OS on a computer?
I've collected about 10 Windows 7 Pro serials throughout the years (Dreamspark, 3 laptops, various old machines) but I have currently only upgraded one of them to Windows 10 (I currently own only one computer).
The free upgrade period ends in one month, so I'm afraid these Windows 7 keys become worthless (I kinda like Windows 10).
So what do? I don't wanna install Windows 10 ten times in one month.

Why are people shilling this hard? Whats to gain from it?
>>55297356
>Whats to gain from it?
people have a psychological need to associate with a tribe of like-minded people, and to feel that that group is strong.
people are also insecure about their purchasing decisions, because they don't want to realize that they've made a poor choice. So they talk up things they've bought as superior.

decline the windows 10 license agreement and it'll revert back to 7/8.1
get gwx control panel

How do I decline it? Like I said it will try to auto update if I restart or shut down.

Currently, the best Android phone is the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by Samsung Electronics, Ltd. Of South Korea (the best Korea) with up to 256GB mSD card support and a removable battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 might surpass it but we'll have to wait and see, senpai.

So I have a laptop here with bitlocker on it, how do i break into this thing? Its a friend's laptop and he says he forgot the password, can anything be done?
BitLocker is some trashy unsecure M$ shit right? So this should be easy for /g/ to figure out
>>55297129
Give it back Miguel...
Give the rightful owner back his laptop, Jamal.
Bitlocker is very secure against criminals and rogue agents.
It is, however, backdoored by the US government.
Contact the FBI, they'll be able to get into it.

So I just started using an overclocking tool for my 660, and it turns out my CPU is running under load at ~90-100 degrees celsius
What can I do to fix this?

Should I upgrade from my GTX 970 to this?
Probably a sidegrade desu
>>55296941
What's a sidegrade?
>>55296988
The performance increase is probably not noticeable and the upgrade is a huge waste of money.
You're better of getting the 1070 or just keeping the 970.
