Whats with these squatters?
single-thread? a9

Artyom here
My computer broke after my sister spilled salt water on it.
How much would a decent laptop cost? Preferably one that can run Ark Survival and other high-end games at at least 20 fps.
If possible, post a source, please.
>20 fps
You can play games on that framerate?
>after my sister spilled salt water on it.
Tell me more.
>>55289914
Build a custom desktop instead, you can do it for as low as $200 and will have better performance than a $600 laptop.
Post your thread again on /wsr/ and I will help you.
Have you made your switch to Whatsapp yet?
this is retarded.
You dont get to chose what messenger to use, society does. If everyone uses something, you should be using. If nobody is using, why would you use it?
There isnt a discussion here
>>55289821
nice try nsa. people use what you use, unless you are a beta faggot.
>>55289792
I'd switch to Signal but few people use it.
How fast (or slow) is your HDD, /g/?
Pic related is my WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm
Id post pics but my internet is being shit as AT&T is doing some repairs or something.
About 10mbps write and 9mbps read

Good evening, /g/entlemen. Which ISP does /g/ consider the best?
>>55289617
What does it fucking matter? 99% of people are stuck with a monopoly or duopoly.
>>55289617
They are all evil greedy pieces of shit.
>>55289617
Level 3
You can't afford it though.
Sup /g/. I want to stop being a neet and learn to program. I want to learn either C++ or Java as they seem to be the most in demand in London which is where I live. I was looking at python but all the jobs are fucking web shit which i hate. java and c++ seem to be comfy office programs and shit like that. so which should i learn? i have some C experience from college so i know what a pointer is but cant remember shit on algorithms or maths.
>>55289271
bump?
>>55289271
If you have to ask, Java.
>>55289645
cool. any particular reason?
Why do people still use this after all the shady shit they have done?
>not using Transmission in the year 2016
>>55288571
>shady shit
>literally nothing, ever
The same reason there's still like 2 million AOL subscribers.
It still works and they don't give a shit. utorrent users are probably all children, old people, or complete retard normies.
Help me out, /g/, I've been lurking for about two months, and I'm going to try building my own pc. Here's what I've got so far, tell me what I'm missing/ where I fucked up

I want a pc that can play World of Warcraft and other Blizzard games better than my laptop
Here's Blizzard's recommended specs for the new expansion if it helps
https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/world-of-warcraft-legion
there's a stock cpu fan with intel cpu's, and it works damn well and you also don't need thermal paste because it has that pre applied. Smart choice on an H series motherboard but you don't need a gaming one. Just get one with the necessities. Anything that has 'gaming' on it is overpriced. (bullshit you're not telling me 1tb is only 46 dollars now my 300gb hard drive was like 150 fuck you and it was 5200rpm) I reccomend a quad core processor. To save on money, reduce your power supply to like 450 watts. I got a 700w and only need 450. Your CPU isn't going to carry your GPU by the way. If you want that kind of GPU you need a good cpu to go with it.
not OP but i figured this would be a good theard
could anyone please tell me if they see any issues with this build?
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/vasylus/saved/gvTdnQ
im not super experienced in this so any advice would be much appreciated
>>55289717
OP here, so I should drop the cooling fan? Should I keep it if I get a better CPU? I tried to follow the guide on Logical Increments
2 days.
Thoughts?
>>55288000
It's a thing.
Also nice trips
Motorola 88000 was a failure
Slow, overpriced garbage.

just rip and upload FLACS and the subsequent transcodes
>tfw its 96 degrees outside and your cpu is starting to overheat
fuck
No wonder. That's almost hot enough to boil water.
my cpu does fine if I crank the fan high enough
my AMD Reference Jet Engine R9 290 at 55db doesn't is throttled down to 700 mhz

I use arch, and i just google any issue i have and learned nothing about linux
>>55287573
Better is fairly subjective.
I use arch because it works out well for me and my applications. Since it works, I enjoy it, and it's completely open source, I have no reason to switch. I'm sure I could do the same with Gentoo, but I don't have a reason to
>>55287573
neither
at the core they're both linux so they're both essentially the same
stop posting this thread every fucking day please
hmmmm what could this be?
I wonder....

This was posted in a thread earlier, this is some Asian guys who benchmarked it. Nice try, faggot
>got a new number due to being harrassed with too many telemarketer calls
>now afraid to sign up for anything with it
>had only used it for things like Amazon, etc.
Is it safe to use it for Google Voice?
>>55286443
Dialing a 1-800 number will put you on telemarketers db.
>>55286443
You can't opt-out of telemarketer DBs? What a shitty country.
>>55286485
Will do. But can I use my new phone number as a forwarding for Google Voice without getting on any lists?
>>55286547
There's our National Do-Not-Call registry, which keeps official telemarketers from calling, but not robocalls or anything like that.
Will I have to buy this GPU instantly when it comes out to ensure that I get one? When will real benchmarks come out?
I want to know if I have to order fast or if all supplies will be sold out in less than 3 days.
me to
Not all companies do paper launches months before actual stock
Real benchmarks will come at the same time it's available at retail.
As for supplies- don't worry, no-one is actually going to buy one.
Seriously, the card could be 980Ti at $200 and it'd sell poorly. You have to understand what the market is like right now, 85% of the people who buy GPUs are nvidia fanboys
