Can we talk about services?
I used to be a Windows guy, I used outlook, onenote, onedrive, groove, bing, office, MSN, etc for everything I did. I had a windows phone and a windows laptop.
Recently though I got tired of no apps on WP and moved to Android. Now I'm using keep, gmail, drive, play music, google news, google docs, google calendar, etc for everything I do.
Are you autistic like me?
I'm considering buying an iPhone right now because I'm tired of Android, how are Apple services like in comparison? I never used them too much
I'm on Android and I use no 'cloud services'. Don't even have a Google account. Stop being a moron.

any tips where to/how to learn stuff that I will need later when i finish school and start working for real? haven't learned shit during the first year that would be helpful
sysadmin shit is fairly straight forward anon get your shit together
Nothing you learn in school will help you be a sysadmin. You learn how to be a sysadmin by being a sysadmin
Congrats, you realized your own shortcomings and wana improve. That makes you far better than the curry niggers who plague our jobs.
XFX RX 480 AIB leaked.
RotTR gets DX12 Multi GPU update and async (Reports of lower min frames though).
I want to know if you can run shared AMD and Nvidia setups though. I bet it's still only SLI/CF.
>>55474006
looks better than the xfx 380 at least
>>55474006
Ehh looks good but is it possible to cut out the wierd atom symbol in the ceter parts of the fans?

What are some recommended apps for an iPad Pro?
Planning on purchasing the 9.7 version. Already have drawing apps like Procreate, Coda for some web development and Microsoft Office on the list.
Any recommendations are welcome.

You already know the answer.
Only your wallet is stopping you.

Depends on your contract...
On mine it says no servers etc.
Hey guys. I recently installed Ubuntu, just to get my feet wet into Linux.
Any tips on how to customize the GUI, media players, make it a more coding friendly environment (Java, SQL, C# mainly), necessary things to install to make it a good workstation?
>inb4 install Gentoo, why does Jave give you suicidal tendencies
>media players

mpv and vlc
>>55473897
VLC is a necessity lol
For media players I don't need anything facy, just something that is more efficient rather than bloated with bells and whistles
Except sound graphs. It soothes my souls lol

>staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers

Try blowing some air into the screen or some shit. If your warranty is over just open that shit up.

I fell for the bluetooth speakers meme
-no stereo separation; sounds really weird
-can't pair speakers; JBL could pair their bluetooth speakers but only on phones
-bluetooth connection is unreliable and sometimes stutters
>>55473664
>no stereo separation
What the fuck were you expecting, any wired speaker that small will be almost mono
>cant pair speakers
Stop being retarded Bluetooth is pairing is as easy as it gets
>Bluetooth connection is unreliable
?
>buying normie commercial garbage
>>55473705
Pairing as in, pairing two speakers for stereo separation.
Bluetooth doesn't seem reliable for sustained throughput.
Is the Samsung 950 pro a meme?
I have a MSI Z97 G45 and I'm considering buying one of those
>>55473647
Do you need it?
It all depends on what you use your computer for. I work with thousands of small files and it was a nice speed improvement for me. For regular desktop use it won't be any better than a sata ssd.
>>55473647
It's a meme unless you're doing video editing or database work.
Are there any alternatives to OGYouTube? It always resets after a few minutes of background streaming or screen off steaming. I heard about NewPipe, is that any good?
>>55473588
NewPipe is my choice, but it has it's limitations because it protects your privacy by only retrieving the video content. So you can't see the comments, you can't search for channels, etc. It has plenty of comfy features tho, just like OGYouTube. If you want privacy and the ability to download/play in the background then NewPipe is the way to go. Only problem I have is that if you start a video (not in background mode) and go to another app temporarily, when you come back the video restarts at the beginning
>>55473588
WebTube is an open source app with standard YouTube UI.
>>55473698
NewPipe is goat.
It can be buggy sometimes, but otherwise it's pretty good.
Are nvidia drivers becoming the new AMD?
I've had a 580 for a few years, and at some point the drivers started constantly crashing, usually when just doing desktop shit under no stress. Screen would go black, fans would speed up, and then back to normal. If I was playing a game it could start showing spooky green flickering on the screen, and if I didn't alt-tab out fast enough, it would take the entire system down with it. Underclocking and/or overvolting the card fixed crashing in games, but it still happened in the desktop environment just as frequently.
A while ago while having dark souls 3 problems, I reverted back to some driver version from 2013, and the problems stopped. Just like that. What the fuck, nvidia. Do they purposely cuck older cards in driver updates so I'll buy a new one? Anyone else have this exact issue?
>>55473583
>just know finding this out
>>55473583
well if you had enough money for the 580 then wait on the 490 because nvidia will never fix these issues unless people stop buying from them
>>55474819
Aren't the new amd's supposed to be full memecards?
What are /g/'s favorite GTK themes? Pic related, I really like Ceti 2.
