>tfw I fell for the Arch Anywhere meme
It feels good
Sure, any retard can set up Arch, but why go through all that tedious shit?
>>55480169
Architect installer is better?
I think it's ironic that I know how to install Arch faster manually instead of using Architect.
>>55480783
does it offer all the optional stuff that Arch Anywhere does?

Hi /g/.
So i recently managed to sucessfully root my phone. Now, i want to know what are the next important steps to take.
I've read that i should install a custom recovery.
Do i really have?
Which is better? TWRP or CMW? I can't find CMW supported devices anywhere.
My pourposes with the root is customization of Android.
Please, help.
Thanks in advance!
TWRP is leaps and bounds better than CWM. What android version is your phone? That matters when installing a custom recovery
>>55479772
Thank for the answer!
I'm with 5.0.2.
Does the phone model matters?

Can any of you code monkeys make this shorter?
// returns an int from N to NW clockwisepublic static final double direction(Point foo, Point bar) {
double angle = toDegrees(atan2(bar.y - foo.y, bar.x - foo.x)); if(angle < 0) angle+=360;
if(angle > 247.5 && angle < 292.5) return 1; if(angle > 67.5 && angle < 112.5) return 5;
if(angle > 292.5 && angle < 337.5) return 2; if(angle > 112.5 && angle < 157.5) return 6;
if(angle > 337.5 || angle < 22.5) return 3; if(angle > 157.5 && angle < 202.5) return 7;
if(angle > 22.5 && angle < 67.5) return 4; if(angle > 202.5 && angle < 247.5) return 8;

I've been using the fucking botnet for too long and I'm getting tired of it. Chrome is slow, it crashes, it's got big privacy issues. I want out.
Now the question is which browser do you recommend for Windows? I've tried Firefox and I wasn't really pleased, Microsoft Edge seems to be complete ass, what other options are there?
Have any of you guys used the new upcoming browsers like Cliqz, Vivaldi, Brave?
Pls help a technological retard out.
Here's an article on the matter of new browsers:

Is there any reason to learn heavy back-end languages like PHP, Ruby on Rails, and Django anymore?
NodeJs, Angular, Express, and Meteor is taking the place of these languages and are dominating the industry in terms of job growth and adoption.
>>55479542
Django is fun to use tbqh fampai. We use it at work, and I've never had more fun working
Meteor and Node is the fucking future no doubt

Looking to buy a tablet to read books and manga on, also the occasional web browsing. Got my eyes on Lenovo Tab3 A7-10. It's got a 7" screen with resolution of 1024x600. Would this be sufficient to not put strain on my eyes? Anyone with this tablet reccommend it?
Reposting since it didn't get responses the first time:
I was downloading some Twitch VOD [https://www.twitchvods.com/download/] and as usual, after it finishes downloading the video isn't playable for a bit, but if I wait some time and let ffmpeg do its thing, the video will be ready after some minutes (at which point the process is finished, ffmpeg closes and the video is ready).
I started another download after this one, from the same channel, and it worked perfectly as usual, so I don't think it's a problem with any of my software.
It's been many hours and the ffmpeg process is still open, and the video is still unavailable.
I can't redownload it because the video has been removed from the page, and I really need it (it was a guy producing a song in Ableton and he explained a technique I really need to learn).
Is there something I can do?
PS. I'm on Windows 7 BTW.
What is better at cooling? A Zalman 7000 (pic related) or a stock amd cooler from a Kuma era chip? (stock amd's coolers were beefier before). I have both kicking around.
It will replace the tiny stock cooler on a AMD A8-7600 chip.
