1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Some time ago some anons were talking about cheap e-book readers as an alternative to amazon monopoly in this field. I want to know /g/ opinion about recommended readers for small amount of money 100$ max would be great, poor anon here.

I have it finally.

I can't install drivers though.
It says that my Windows version doesn't match. I downloaded them directly from NVidia site and from geforce experience but they won't install.

What materials can be used in place of missing pins?


After seeing a few videos on youtube where pins were placed into the CPU socket on the motherboard and they were able to make contact, I have decided to make an attempt at repairing this CPU, or at least get it up and running again.

I'm quite curious to hear your thoughts. If you've got something insulting to say, please don't bother posting in this thread.

Any other constructive ideas or suggestions as to how I can go about this would be appreciated.

Here's the situation.

I've been getting really unreliable internet speeds lately to my PC only, from my standard connection to absolutely crawling speeds. All I've been able to diagnose is the following:

>it's not my router - other devices work fine
>it's not my wireless dongle or drivers - I've tried multiple with the same issue
>it's not distance - other devices work from farther away

I'm out of ideas of what the cause could possibly be, nor any fixes short of wiring which I can't even be convinced would work, and is currently impossible.
