Learning Python as my first programming language. Would It be wise to create text file defining all the keywords I learn? To cement the information?

>>
Make flashcards out of it.
Best of luck, Anon
>>

Sure, why not.

Taking notes is usually very helpful. You will better understand the topics you learn about by paraphrasing what the material says into your own words.
>>
When I was learning C as my first language I wrote my notes by commenting on the same line.
Sure there may be gaps between my code but I could always read my notes on the right incase I forgot or to solidify my understanding.

*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***

1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

I can't install drivers though.
It says that my Windows version doesn't match. I downloaded them directly from NVidia site and from geforce experience but they won't install.

I don't have activated system.

What materials can be used in place of missing pins?

After seeing a few videos on youtube where pins were placed into the CPU socket on the motherboard and they were able to make contact, I have decided to make an attempt at repairing this CPU, or at least get it up and running again.

I'm quite curious to hear your thoughts. If you've got something insulting to say, please don't bother posting in this thread.

Any other constructive ideas or suggestions as to how I can go about this would be appreciated.

Could maybe gold plate some copper wire.
Easy to do at home.
No idea how you would get it to attach very easily though.
>>
>>55681303
If you haven't broken any pins just bend them back
>>
>>55681303

Does /g/ have problems with thrips (thunderflies) in your monitor?

Any way to prevent this, maybe even get them out?
9 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>55681183
Had problems with them last year, one died in my monitor, it's still there and it'll stay there for eternity. Not using your monitor helps since they are attracted to light. Also, not having your monitor close to the window or in the wind from an open window helps.
>>
>>55681183
I know how to prevent them from getting in.
Spray a liberal amount of generic bug killer onto a cloth and wipe it over the monitor case once every three days.
Kills them quickly whenever they come near.

Here's the situation.

I've been getting really unreliable internet speeds lately to my PC only, from my standard connection to absolutely crawling speeds. All I've been able to diagnose is the following:

>it's not my router - other devices work fine
>it's not my wireless dongle or drivers - I've tried multiple with the same issue
>it's not distance - other devices work from farther away

I'm out of ideas of what the cause could possibly be, nor any fixes short of wiring which I can't even be convinced would work, and is currently impossible.
