how do people get away with this?
do these buyers not test ANY games with their 500 dollar PC?
They don't care. They'll tell you the specs, and give you what they said they would. If that doesn't work well, that's not their problem, it's yours. Sucks they can do this, but that's life.

After years of ridiculing "freetards" in this Bhutanese rabbit manure collecting and storing discussion forum I have discovered that I was only ridiculing myself this whole time. I want to get out of this closed down baby os of non productivity ride but pic related is just too comfy piece of hardware to give up.
What will I ever do /g/ee?
What is that? Can't you install Linux on it?
>>55719856
You can, but op is a faggot.
>>55719856
its a surface pro 4. I have "tried" Linux on it with a Ubuntu live usb I had under my hand. It booted up nicely, I was able to select whether I want to install or try live cd but as soon as os booted my keyboard stopped working. As surface has only one usb port I couldn't connect a usb mouse/keyboard.
I suspect that boot selection part only worked because it was handled by UEFI. Since the keyboard part and connection is propriety it didn't worked under Linux.

how then friend'o?
Can we have a thread on blu rays and DVDs as back up media?
It sounds alot easier to backup all my shit onto 40 or so blurays rather than 200 DVDs.
What burner are you using? What are the best quality to cost discs to buy?
Data hoarding thread?
I have about 400 25 GB discs (Verbatim, among others). I'll be using them to archive console scene releases. I have a rather inexpensive Pioneer burner, worked just fine in my test runs.
Literally just started today on PS3. Downloaded five releases to test my scripts and cataloging system before I dump terabytes upon terabytes of data in the download queue.
The Excel 2016 cataloging system will be automated by a combination of VBA and Python when I'm done. Right now I'm more concerned with retrieving the actual data, the indexing can be done at a later date when I start burning content to discs.
Actual archiving will consist of the original scene release .rars and parity files (PAR2) for redundancy in case of disc read errors.
Storage is important, make sure to dump everything in a cold and dark place. I have a garage where I can put all my containers of discs in.
Data hoarding thread.
I've just got around 11tbs of data and they're all across various hard drives. With the most valuable to me backed up across multiple disks.
I was thinking about getting into blu rays since they the seem pretty robust.
/G/ is this chink? I was planning on getting the honor5x or the moto g 4th gen

Why does current /g/ hate Lisp again?
>>55718888
Nobody actually hates lisp, it's just "my programming language is better than your programming language" fanboyism.
You use a tool and it works well. Some idiot who sounds like those Reddit atheist parodies comes in and tells you that your tool is bad and you should use his favorite tool (Lisp) instead. This idiot has never been able to get the tool to work, but it has to be good because he heard it online. He constantly says that he is more intelligent and his tool is superior despite never being able to make it work.
If he's more intelligent than you and uses a better tool, why can't he do one tenth of what you can do? One or both of his claims must be a lie.

Is it possible for me to use my home internet connection through an ethernet port to download torrents while I use the Wifi connection of McDonlands next to my house to play online games and shit.
Doing both on my home internet connection uses to much bandwidth and fucks me so I wanna these two internet connections and apply them to two separate programs (ethernet for qBittorrent and wifi for Battlefelid, LOL, etc)
Static routes
