There are so-called "technology enthusiasts" browsing this page right now who haven't updated their OS to the most recent, feature-full, stable and beautiful version just because of conspiracy theories against a corporation that is present in virtually all countries in the world and is liable to all of their laws.
These paranoid people believe that they are such unique, special snowflakes that the precious data on their computers and their browsing habits would be monitored and still be relevant in a universe of billions of computers and devices running Windows.
There is no reason to be afraid of Windows 10 if you aren't a criminal.
The other reasons you have for not upgrading are not much different from anti-vaccination conspiracies.

So my computer died a few days ago, i was measuring ram clearance with digital calipers to see if i could fit new ram in my old as fuck computer to wait out until kaby lake-e/skylake-e next year
I go to turn it on after that and it turns on but doesn't post or boot
I tried taking out the ram, switching the location of the sticks, taking out the video card and using the integrated gpu
I know there is no point in trying to troubleshooting the problem since it's a 6 year old build, it'll be cheaper to just replace the motherboard/cpu/ram than buying a new motherboard to test components and finding out it want just the ram or the motherboard of the cpu
My question is how worried should i be about my 6 year old psu, it a 500 watt oem seasonic psu, i don't mind replacing it if i have to, but I'm wondering if i should just chuck it to be safe if it's the reason my computer won't post as in it took the motherboard with it

I wanted to know how tall they were installed, so when i measured from them to the side panel i knew what the overall distance from the motherboard to the side panel was so i knew if i got lower profile ram i could fit a 140mm fan
And i was just using them for rough mm height, not like fractions of a mm would make a difference, no matter how spergish that was it did serve a purpose

Is anyone aware of a service where you can self host a server and multiple users can back-up there data to it?
I really like Crashplan but I don't think I can have multiple users on one server. Basically a service for family members who I can give an account and a set amount of storage to use.

So I decided It was time to see what rooting was all about, and went from stock Lollipop 5.0 to Marshmallow 6.0.1 with CM13. Works great, only a couple minor inconveniences:
Would it be possible to get the Samsung-specific apps like Autodesk Sketchbook or Sidesync back? If not, are there any alternatives you might recommend? I'm still new to all this, so thanks in advance.

Look at the /g/ wiki (linked in the sticky) to find a bunch of recommended software. Included in that list is F-Droid, which is a secondary resource outside of the Play Store that offers lots of nice apps with direct .apk download.
