3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Zen won't be available en masse until early 2017, and even then, I'll be fine until Zen +, at the very least.
Currently using an 8350 @ 4.7 Jiggahurtz w/ a Fury X, and the goddamn driver overhead is straight Yamcha-ing me, especially when animating in TB Harmony, (also because the devs can't learn how to fucking optimize their programs for multithreading.)
Anyway, I've pretty much made up my mind to go Intel for awhile, so aside from "wait for Zen", any advice from you /g/entlemen on these hardware choices?

I'm a amd fanboy but even I'm highly doubtful it will supersede the ipc of a 4790k yet alone new ipc gains by intel.
Amd's only hope is the apou/console market. That is the only place they hold high net gains.
If amd were smart the would invest with IBM into quantum processing and optical computation. Wish graphene weren't just a 20 year off pipe dream .

Mouse thread.
I've had my g500 for several years now, but lately the left click has been double clicking which is annoying beyond belief.
I'm considering a new mouse, and looking into optical mouses. The thing is, there's two features about the g500 that I've become so accustomed to that I am hesitant to get a mouse without.
First, the g500 has a third button in addition to the forward/back on the side, I've bound this button to f5 and use it to refresh pages with the mouse and also control play/pause (ctrl+f5) on foobar as a global hotkey.
The second is the two scrolling styles, where you can 'unhitch' the scroll wheel for faster scrolling. I've become so used to these features that I don't want a mouse without them.
The problem I haven't been able to find a new mouse with both of these. Any recommendations? What mouse do you use?
