Why the fuck do you guys hate audio setups that cost more than $100?

pic unrelated

I don't think that classifies as audiophilia. Audiophiles drop thousands on bullshit placebos like those retarded cable harnesses and vacuum tube DACs then plug it all into a lowest common denominator when really all that is needed is upgrading the lowest common denominator.

A good sound system is nice but it doesn't have to be multiple 0's nice.

>more than $100
A good pair of headphones costs more than that, are you underage?
>>
There are plenty of reasonable audio setups around $200

When you go above that it starts to get pretty stupid.

Why are you using shitty blown up phones being marketed as "tablet computers" when you can have a fully functioning Windows tablet with a licensed copy of Office for as little as $60?

Surely you've not been cucked that hard by Apple and Android?

Surely you have jobs and want to be productive on the go, being able to communicate and collaborate with your co-workers?

Welcome to /fglt/ - Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Users of all levels are welcome to ask questions about GNU/Linux and share their experiences.

*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***

Before asking for help, please check our list of resources[*].

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Just started getting more familiar with the terminal. what are some fun or useful scripts I can write?

So far I've just written something called 'tree_time' which makes a picture of a tree from my back garden appear on the screen. Fun but not exactly useful.

It's my first build. Originally had a smaller case but I got tired of waiting for the custom rx 480/1060 to come in stock so I went ahead and bought the r9 fury for 300(+$20 tax) today since it was on sale and at a similar price point. The original case was too small to fit so i found this new bigger case.

who here has cable for their isp? I'm moving from Dallas to Lubbock. In Dallas I had Verizon fios until recently when they sold. Lubbock only has a few options and I decided on cable gigabit Internet. What modem/routers do you use?

>>55837693
I'm in Lubbock, only good isp here is suddenlink, who I have, paying like 50$ for 75mb/s dl, but I don't really download anything. I forget what modem they provided me with, works fine, and I think I have a belkin router. Wouldn't recommend torrenting with them, they monitor it, gave me a warning one time so now I just torrent off my phone lol. Oh and why the fuck you moving to this bum hole? Tech?
>>
>>55838239
It's always funny to read about American or Australian internet prices.

100 mbps costs $10 in Europe.
>>
>>55838239
Yeah for school. I'm living with four friends so we're splitting the cost of their unlimited gigabit plan. I was hoping to see if anyone knew what speeds they actually get. I've just suffered from shitty Internet for so long I was hoping to get a good modem / router combo + gigabit speed. Is it reliable?
