Hey /g/ I just got a 5400RPM 2TB HDD for my 2012 MacBook Pro
I want to just clone the current HDD over, and then partition the extra space as a new drive......what's the best way do this?
I wanna outright replace the current internal drive, and then at some point in the future replace the optical drive with a SSD or a7200 RPM HDD (and run the OS from that drive)
Is this a bad idea? Should I have just replaced the current HDD with a 7200rpm drive from the start?

Is it possible to build a superior computer if you found a way to have a gpu work with an apple motherboard? Same question for RAM and Harddrives.
Apple is NOTORIOUS for having some based CPUs right next to Intel, and I actually wish to experiment on this some time in the future with an old macbook or apple computer.
I wanna say its possible if you modified the hardware but not possible with stock apple since the way of design is so different from your standard motherboard.

Mac's use pretty standard hardware and if you want to connect an iPad with appels own CPU to a GPU then I wish luck because it is not gonna happen.

I work for a Web Hosting company that uses obsolete software and has poor security standards. I have pleaded to the management to make requested changes to get better, but it all falls on deaf ears.
What would you do? ( I am currently looking for another job, because I cant stomach to work around complete idiots and dont have enough pull to do anything)
Also, what could be a worst case scenario? The majority of sites hosted are unmaintained PHP sites/blogs
